The thing that hurts the most for me on console is during the release of mouse trap there’s was a line stated “it would’ve been really easy to just ban all those players, but we wanted to try something else” i live in agony since.

I would have played 10 games yesterday but nah only 3-4 ish games with almost always 2-3 players disconnecting in the game. So playing with a full squad isn’t possible right now. I was just about to enjoy the game again😅.

Agreed then I'm moving to Apex Legends and it got cheaters problem too. But later on i moved on to Valorant and stick to it for 2 years with less cheaters. Then last month i give siege chance after 2 years hiatus and it's getting worse, i was on copper lobbies matched with enemies with ex-platinum while my teammates are newbies. And i spotted some sus enemy or teammates suspicious as cheaters. Siege isn't fun anymore 😢

I doubt that there are less cheaters. I play in lower ranks (like old ranked skill level gold) and Ive seen the worst players imaginable using cheats, because they wouldnt be able to get a kill otherwise.
The really wild thing this season is I've run into multiple people walling in quick match (check the replays and they are really bad at hiding it). I mean good lord why?!

MY biggest issue is insanely high packet loss in-game no matter what I do. Perfectly fine giga-bit internet on every single other game, and yet Siege is unplayably laggy. The packet loss creates situations where my bullets will phase through enemies or I'll get shot a second+ after moving behind a wall.
I had to quit just because of this issue. It has been affecting me for years, and I've kept trying. (different machines too), the only common denominator is that I'm on Xfinity internet (ethernet) and I've encountered other Xfinity users that have this exact same issue. There are no other options for internet here, and even if there were, I would not swap just to play THIS game.
maybe try port forwarding or changing the the firewall settings your router or isp may be restricting siege besides that its not a siege issue as ive never heard of this issue before

how kind of them. Now they can boost while raging for couple of month and get huge profits so they can buy another $5 stolen account and do it all over again.
53 matches played this season (ranked) - twice now i've faced ppl running around with LMG's hipfiring through solid walls/floors, through kiba barriers, while reloading.. they can even shoot and kill me while having their back turned towards me. Not a single RP refund so far so i guess they're just not banning ppl.

Started playing during White Noise and left the game completely right before Burnt Horizon; partly because of the m&k issue on console but largely because I believed Ubisoft's insistence on adding so many operators would inevitably kill the game with sheer bloat and bad ideas. Sucks to see I might've been right.

@@Sisyphe__ it kept the game on life support. players had a reason to come back for a week every season then leave again after they remembered how bad the game was. Operator bloat is a pretty bad issue and a lack of reworks for old operators is making the power creep so much worse. The game is effectively dead already with its player base being dwindled down to just over a quarter of what it was at its peak. With cheaters being a larger portion of the player base than ever before, the game is dead set towards being completely shutdown.
There's 70 operators but everyone still plays the original operators the most.

I think bigger gaming companies might actually stop caring about pc considering the situation after gta 6 release drama. The cheater problem is too much of investment issue to deal on comparison with revenue generated from non pc platforms.

I used to be in gold, now I can't get out of copper as solo player. It is so obvious when u win 3 rounds and then magically some enemy turns on and act like super human. It feels much worse then CS.

Yesterday I tried playing out of 2.5hrs of playing I was able to only get into 3 matches & I was lagged out as soon as i loaded into the server
I have played siege three times recently, twice out of those two sessions I have run into a cheater. It really sucks seeing this game I used to play so much in Year 1-3 get torn to shreds by cheaters. Even casual is absolutely plagued with people using soft aim and blatant walls. I refuse to play alone now and now only play with my group when they want me to play.

Sad when one of the games biggest creators says he has to stick to Standard matchmaking so the game is actually playable. Situations like this is why I try and play a wide variety of games. You never know when a game you love is gonna implode or just completely fall tf off.
Gaming is such a waste of life already tho. Once u played the best of each of the 7 categories you've played them all till a new one with a new gimmick (like wallbreaking) comes out. Bruh, I played 53 matches.. 30 of them were against cheaters. Only 5 were canceled. Kinda leaving Siege at this point.

My problem is not only the cheaters, but the matchmaking in this game is so broken. I constantly face really competent enemies while my teammates seem to have downloaded the game a week ago. I'm currently in silver, and almost always my enemies are NOT playing like silvers, spawn peeking, quick peeking like crazy, pulling out strats
And before someone tells me about the hidden rank, then why is my team playing like copper? No balance at all, no fun from the game...
Playing Standard doesn't save you. Me and my buddies had enough of Ranked being full of cheaters/boosters, so we started playing Standard. We regularly run into people with flying-spinning hacks, people who openly advertise the website where you can pay for the hacks, people who use aimbots, wallhacks and nothing is happening.
I tried to play this game recently. Being that I’ve never played before I instantly deleted this shit lmaoo

I’d rather chill out grinding to level 50, get platinum and chill out in those ranks for a few seasons rather than tilting over hackers because Ubisoft don’t do shit about it.
no one wants to play ranked. searching for 7 minutes and after the game you get error like "lost connection to ubisoft servers". and you like "ok, ubi, play this game by yourself"
I must be lucky I came back this season and ended up playing 100+ or so games this season and never ran into a cheater, even after being ranked around high plat.

That is lucky, but most of them sit in diamond, champ players tend to be able to beat wall hackers because of raw mechanical skill.
Having to pixle peek every fight indicates people are way more accurate than normal so you have to adjust. People are cheating way way more than you know

Xim on console is a bit annoying. Very hard to learn and compete when its so much easier for them to learn how to aim

The only way the game gets fixed is to make Ubisoft to start losing money on it, R6 is like the only game that makes them money, so when looking at it from Ubisoft perspective why sink money and resources to fix a broken game when the broken game still makes them millions in revenue. It's fine if you still want to play, but if you as a person are still going to play R6, at least stop spending money on it.
the first few words about that theory is true. Absolutely. Its the same thing that happened to APB Reloaded. The amount of cheaters stayed the same, with maybe a small increase if the whole player pop increased as well. But it never decreased with the amount of player pop decreasing, so there are the same number of cheaters but as legit players decrease the cheaters become a higher % in consequence.
What happened to APB reloaded was very sad, since the game was literally sold out to cashgrabber developers over and over, and the franchise sold to chinese gacha stuff, it became a dead game in terms of content or any sort of update or evolution. So in a decade the player numbers decreased, and the cheater numbers stayed the same, increasing the cheater % slowly.
It went like that until the cheater % was way over 50%, and then the game started dying HARD. Since on every single match you got at least a cheater on each team, most often than not at least 2 on each side. People to counter this started using the meta guns and added rancid tactics and macros. It became toxic and stopped being fun because of all this, so people that kept playing were the cheaters and the ones that got off a dopamine hit from winning, and very often those people were both.
Cheater % today in APB Reloaded i'd say is around 90%, no joke. It went to the point that the developers are making money most probably, by selling them the cheats. And probably they've been doing that for a very long time, since with a 300 playerbase its impossible a game would be still standing. There's servers to pay for, and employees that maintain the game, at least a skeleton crew.
I'm saddened that Rainbow six is going the same way. The only thing stopping it from becoming another APB is just time, and steam or whatever platform it uses I guess.

In cs:go 12% of all players I played against got VAC banned. Used a tool to go through my match history. Thats on average 1 per match and this was 10 years ago. There are many many more software developers and unfortunately cheats are trivial to make. I did it in a weekend as a software engineer myself (not that I use them, I just wanted to see how hard it was). In tarkov its on average one or two a raid.
Online FPS is a joke and has been for at least 15 years. I've been playing it competitively since 2004, and its just gotten worse and worse. Thus I don't care any more. I just play to have fun and often my fun is ruined. Its painful, but I like what I like and I enjoy the fair games I do get.
i only play casual but i feel like cheaters in quickplay are pretty far and few between. could be my cobblestone elo who knows. ive definitely seen a couple tho but def rare in quickplay for me.

I feel wallhack is a based thing in every match right now…I’m a gold rank casual player who mostly playing on solo queue in Asia, and I have to confront at least 2 to 3 wallhacking dipsh!t whether they are on my team or enemy team, mostly they do just pretending they drone the area thoroughly and after like 20 seconds they always fuckin prefire like a maniac but so precise even tho I already rotated to somewhere else without any loud noise and make sure they don’t have any vision on me, not even to say those with other ”tech“ like aimbot or XIM or whatever sh!t they using…I used to have fun from siege, but the game rn is either forcing me to get good or quitting it. I wish I could have fun from it again.

Surprisingly I’ve only ever been in matches with cheaters like 2-3 times in my now 340 hours of playing on PC
You just don’t know what to look for. If you see the trends and had a better feel for the game you would notice. Or your not high enough rank to see the majority of them.

Cant imagine there's a lot of cheaters in siege compared to some other games. Siege uses battleye which is a pretty aggressive kernel level anticheat last time i checked. Typically cheats for these games cost anywhere from $25-$50/month for a somewhat decent public cheat (which you'll get banned for quickly most of the time) and private ones for a hefty premium. Leads me to believe there are not as many cheaters as people think. Games will always have a cheater problem and there is no solution for it. It's a never ending game of cat and mouse.
This is such Copium. Valorant has the best anti cheat, they also haven’t had an increase in cheater since the game has launched. This is proven and stats back it up. Valorant devs actually talk about their anti cheat in live streams and talked about how they haven’t seen an increase in cheaters since launch of the game! Which 99.999% of other triple AAA titles can’t and won’t achieve.
This is purely a ubisofts skill issue period. 😊
