This is some of the best sailing footage of this boat I have seen. Moving along at (probably) hull speed with the sail nicely set. Deep and burdensome for a small dinghy, the real possibilities are shown in fine scenery as well. Only thing that would stop me building one is, after hours & hours of work one of the consistent comments probably heard is "cute boat," which I'm tired of hearing
True, we do get a fair amount of "cute boat" among the big boat crowd at the Seattle Boat Show, where the Scamp's little pug nose catches folks by surprise. But it's more than made up for by the number of genuinely curious folks who are intrigued by the capabilities of such a small vessel!
Pram bow offers more volume and buoyancy. Look closely and you see that just below the bow the hull is pointed and cuts through the water. Kinda best of both worlds. Easier to build, I bet.
Hi John! Gig Harbor Boat Works sells the complete fiberglass version: ghboats.com/our-boats/12-scamp/ If you're looking at building your own, you can buy plans from our friends at Duckworks: duckworks.com/scamp/
This has got to be the most practical design of any boat.

Looks awsome and sails as good as it looks! :-)

Where can one buy this at? Is there a web sight? Pricing?
