    Sir at 4:43 u told that external carotid artery enters thought inferior surface
    But parotid gland has only 3 surfaces
    1) anterior 2) posterior 3) medial surface know sir...and ECA enters thought postiomedial surface na sir???

    • @doctoropsyindia
      @doctoropsyindia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Leelanjali, that is a good question. In the video the animation explains the entry course from inferior side and surface marking wise it is ECA entering from the postero-medial surface. Your understanding is correct, that is exactly how you would look at the anatomical relations in 3D.

    Dear doctor,
    I've got a question regarding "types of saliva" secreted by MINOR salivary glands 🙏
    In my textbook, it seems like not all of them (except von Ebner's glands) produce MUCUS type of saliva 🤔 For example, it says that both labial & buccal glands (and even the tip of tongue) produce MIXED types of saliva...
    I'm a little bit confused if this info is wrong, or do you have any specific reasons that you stated something different?
    Thank you so much for your effort on making all these amazing videos!!!

    • @doctoropsyindia
      @doctoropsyindia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Wang..
      Here we have classified salivary glands according to the type of saliva that is secreted.
      In the oral cavity, there are numerous minor salivary glands, few may have serous acini but majority of them have mucous acini because which the type of saliva that gets secreted is mucous in nature…
      so when u classify them collectively on the basis of secreted saliva they are mucous…
      I hope this clears ur doubt…
