- We hope you enjoy this comic book movie of Dark Empire in a somewhat realistic way. We have already begun on part 2 which starts with Luke's story, just like the official comic book.
We created this using blender, photoshop and a few other programs.
For the voices we recorded lines and then altered the pitch with ai to create something similar. We hope it keeps you in the immersion of the EU Star Wars story.
This is a fan project and is not monetized / copyrighted for official Star Wars music

It's been intentional, they want to keep John Williams' themes special so they'll probably only appear in stuff based on the Skywalkers or theatrical releases

I got shivers when Leia said, "Luke is right, I can feel the Force guiding my hands".
I had forgotten what Star Wars could be, after seeing it move so far away from its roots with The Acolyte, but this is bringing back the sense of seeing it again for the first time. The Force is strong with this one! It's as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in glee.
It's the music and sound effects for me.

@@NOTNAFilms I hadn't yet finished it, which is why I said "is bringing" versus "brought." I can't speak for others, but I immediately found a quality to this fan film that felt like the Star Wars I know, something that hours of The Acolyte never did. Having finished watching it, I hold to everything I said in my original comment

If you want it to be sure, Thrawn was considered the 'og' sequel trilogy. Dark Empire was not as well received back in the day, but entertaining as 'what-if'. I will say it is far more fleshed out and coherent than Disney sequels.

Sometimes I comfort myself thinking that maybe in a different dimension legends was brought to cinema and this story would had been the Star Wars of the 90’s kids. What times those would had been, we’d probably be seeing the stories of stars wars legacy comics by now in theaters.
Keep up the good work buddy every time you release something it reminds me how good Star Wars can be. It’s a good feeling. 👍

@@MaiaGothmog At least in Dark Empire's favor they did a better job explaining how Palpatine returned as opposed to the sequels needing hundreds of subliminal material to explain every plot hole in it.

@@MaiaGothmog The problem with "Anakin's Legacy" is that the whole bringing balance to the Force and destroying the Sith business came about during the prequels. Tom Veitch and Dark Horse Comics had Lucasfilm's approval and Dark Empire was on sale in 1992, seven years prior to The Phantom Menace. I hate to say it, but in terms of hard continuity, it is George who introduced these problems, not the writers of the 1990's Expanded Universe.

He is not alone! Many of us are working on projects to bring to the table. I myself am writing my version of 7,8,9 in novel form. It's not the same exact story George would have done but I hope everyone enjoys it when I can release something.

Everyone hated Dark Empire back in the day but honestly I liked it. Yeah, bringing Palpantine back is controversial but the story itself is great and the characters are at their peaks.

Bringing Palpatine back in any way breaks Anakin's arc. Unfortunately, not all of the extended universe was as good as it is presented right now
@@vindu2011 The writers later made it so the Emperor in Dark Empire was a Palpatine clone gone crazy, and not the real deal, pretty much like Joruus C'baoth. Mara herself says this. Not all of the consequences of Dark Empire are as horrible as it is presented by people.
@@vindu2011 İt was writen before the prequalls. So writers have no idea. They can retcon a few things in story to fit into prequalls. Like Anakin coming from the afterlife/force and sealing Palpatine into chaon/hell.
@Vilgax00 George Lucas and his company still had to approve every story in the EU. But common, even without the chosen one prophesy, making Vader's sacrifice meaningless is bad from the storytelling perspective

I enjoyed this 5 minute fan-film more than anything Disney has put out in the last 5 years.

Iam Chris 50 years from germany. My Dad told me Episode 5 in 1980 over 3 hours long. I saw Episode 4-6 more than 100 times. That is epic Theory! I had so a nice feeling after a few seconds. Please make Star Wars great again. Love it :-)

I love the attention to detail, especially seeing the remnants of the empire still fighting. Also Leia being force sensitive as she talks about the gun turret. I really liked that, really expanded the lore of starwars in a very beautiful way. I bet disney hates this. LOL. Haters gonna hate
