This is wonderful! You can hear echoes of Bach and Scarlatti in some of the pieces. And the instrument has a gorgeous sound, but over all it is gorgeously played. Thanks once again, Brilliant Classics!
Hi! Unfortunately we only have this series on fortepiano. However we do have other albums by Clementi on piano: th-cam.com/video/tzNDUgTrmFY/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/xjVvsr-k8qs/w-d-xo.html
I would have bought this set if it had been performed on a standard concert grand. The sound of the fortepiano is not to my liking at all. Sounds like a poorly tuned and badly regulated piano. Otherwise the performances are excellent.
The instrument is the interface to the composer. Its speed of attack, its length of sustain, the harmonics that sing out from the different materials and construction of the strings themselves - these affected the composition and now set very distinct parameters for an educated performance. Do you want heirloom tomatoes or do you want a modern Franken-breed with no hint in its taste to suggest history, climate, soil? It seems in your comment you would be better off eating at Pizza Hut.
Excelente trabajo!!!

Is there a complete volume of Clementi but for piano ? I just can't stand fortepiano AT ALL.
So I like fortepiano, more historicistical
@@unciclistacontraelsistema8620 You are absolutely correct.

Con todo respeto, que doloroso instrumento para los oídos.

Yes, it's more interesting than good-sounding. I have also heard Mozart spoiled to a sorry degree by these historic keyboard instruments.
@@ebbenielsen7 How ignorant. How can Mozart be ruined, by playing on the same instruments he played, and composed for?!
Gad 😅
@@Mr.SLovesTheSacredHeartofJesus yes. You are so right , as he wouldn't have known anything else🙂
