His emotions were incredible and one of the reasons why I loved this version so much (I was more than a little disappointed by Light's actor in the movies). There were points when he had me in tears. Not to mention his stunning portrayal of the insanity. I also agree about his attractiveness increasing as his confidence did. In the first episode I didn't think he was that good looking, especially compared to Kento Yamazaki. But by the end of the show he was as gorgeous as he is in the manga.
