How to bypass the receiver if using a Castle or other BEC

- Some manufacturers use 6V for the reciever, mainly Traxxas. If you want to use a higher voltage for the servo while keeping the 6V for the receiver, here’s a simple video showing how it’s connected. In this video, I bypass the receiver and power it with a 6V battery while powering the steering servo to 7.4V.

Thanks for the great video. i want to do this set up. Do you mind doing a quick video of how you set up your BEC? Showing which wires go where on your Sledge and where you put the BEC etc. Would be helpful. I think I need to do this to speed up the slow servo on both my sledges.
I no longer have the Sledge. I’m trying to remember how it was wired, but without having it in front of me, I can’t visualize it.
@@dgitalchaos ok must appreciated. I just want to get all the wires exact. I have never done a BEC.
@@scottdill3268 it should be the same as the video, but instead of using the battery like I did, pretend the battery is the ESC and put it in channel 2. Don’t forget that Traxxas receivers have two channel 1.

Castle esc can be changed to put out the 7.4 volts, right?
Yes, from 5V to 9v, but requires the CasteLink and a PC. The newer one can be programmed via a Bluetooth module.
Is the Traxxas what the Baja Bandit was?
I honestly have no idea.
