@@maxoboler5275lemme ask you if u still active. Jus turned 17 and my grandpa happened to have one of these for the past few years he just didn’t drive it. He’s giving it over to me. My question is what should I be looking into for first mods? What about reliability?
Running 19x9’s with 235/35 rubber and 37 offset (52 offset wheel + 15mm spacers) on my 2000 S4 Avant. Slightly lowered and zero rubbing, no fender roll.
@@whatsup8464 It''s overall circumference that makes the difference. And yes, the 235/35 on 19's ends up being only 2% greater circumference. I switched back to 225/40 R18s (after I bent a wheel) which are the same circumference as the stock 17s with 225/45 R17's. I didn't notice any difference in power output with any of these wheel setups, but could have been down 10HP or more at the wheels. It would take a dyno to figure out exactly.
@@dedbeet5845 ah yea but really it's the rotational mass that sucks up the power..alongside having big brake kits too..especially with the quattro...shes driving all wheels together....that's alot of rotational mass on each corner...👍
@@whatsup8464 fair point sometimes, but my 19's were actually lighter than the 17" Avus wheels. The 18s I use on my 435i for winter are significantly heavier than the 19s I use for summer too.
Suprised nobody is mentioning b5 a4's come with different hub sizes. 57.1mm and 66.5mm. Worth looking into as i got caught out by this. Very frustrating.
Any chance we could get this but for a B6? I need fresh ideas, I've already got the drivetrain and brakes figured out but I'm nowhere near being able to decide on wheels. Multispoke is good.
I had a set of whistler kr5s, 19x18.5 (only come in one offset and I don't remember lol) 225/35s with a slight stretch. Couldn't get a credit card in the gap in the rear and just the front had a minor roll.

@@CliffB5A4 18's are heavy..too much rotational mass soak up too much hp's...17's are the smallest rims I can put on my quattro as I've 320mm rotors up front..with 280mm rotors she will take 15's or 16's and she launches so good with smaller rims but 17's fill out the arches nice...but I found 18's are on the heavy side
@@whatsup8464 I guess when it comes to weight it would depend on what wheel your using. My b5 a4 came with 17 inch but for some reason when I type the code on the sticker into a code name generator it says the car came with 18 inch but I think that may just be a fault with the generator site.

How is the ride with so little sidewall? Can you link a picture?
Prob losing 20bhp running that size...try 17" bet she performs off the line and acceleration much better..

Is staggered sizes even advisable on an AWD setup?
Same diameter.. different width wont do any damage...
those BBS LMs are 17 there boss
dream car :(
Dang it, the casa white has the same wheel and tire setup as me except I have RSE... almost got featured 😂
Running on my tsq 20x9 et 30 on all 4’s. 235/30/20 but looking for 225 next because of a slight rub in the front👌
Will this also work for the b5 a4s?
Sure will.

You don't need huge wheels either, Audis are AWD.
17" is kinda sweet spot🤔
