    Dear Sir please make a video on how to calculate minor losses as I have seen your video about line sizing video in which you were talking about minor losses like there are two methods Le/D ratio or K value. So sir please make a complete video on this. I will be very thankful to you.

    Sir,
    How can be pump head increase after throttle valve?

    • @PayosAcademy
      @PayosAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Very good question Bhavin.
      What we can understand from your comment is you are considering pump head is pressure delivered at destination. Please correct us.
      If we are correct then pump head is not the pressure at destination it's the pressure at pump discharge flange. If you throttle the valve that will create back pressure on pump and pump tries to develop more head to meet its performance parameters.
      Hope this will help you.
      If not please feel free to get back to us.
      Thank you.

    What happened if back pressure create in pipe ?of pump

    • @PayosAcademy
      @PayosAcademy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Very good question.
      1. If back pressure increases the pressure developed at pump discharge will starts increasing and tries to reach its shutoff and if downstream system is not designed for shutoff head or if blocked outlet scenario is not considered at discharge the system may burst.
      2. Back pressure is increasing that means flow is decreasing that means same liquid is moving in pump casing because of that the Temperature of that fluid may increase, pump may cavitate and pump seal may fail.
      Hope this will help you.
      Enjoy learning 👍

    Sir hamare company me 1 pump hai 1.5 hp ka hai to wo jyada power ka le liya hai hamne abhi uski wajah se saari Jo bhi fittings hai wo nikal jaati hai to ab kya Karu me Jo wo fittings wapis nikle na

    • @PayosAcademy
      @PayosAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Shubham for this comment.
      Based on this comment we can not directly provide decision.
      But we would definitely suggest you to perform hydraulic calculations with existing line, valve and fittings. If you get your desired results then no need to change anything.
      If not based on hydraulic calculations choose optimum sizes for line, valve and fittings.
      Hope this will help you.
      Thank you.

    How to calculate shutt off head formula??

    • @PayosAcademy
      @PayosAcademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Very good question Avinash.
      Generally shut-off head is given by pump vendor based on experiments. For design we have multiple formulas for shutoff head formulas based on industrial practices.
      Most commonly used formula is-
      Shutoff pressure= Maximum suction pressure + 1.25*Differential pressure
      In maximum suction pressure we consider vessel design pressure instead of operating pressure, for elevation we consider top tangent line instead of bottom tangent line.
      Hope this will help you.
      Thank you.

      Q ki head ki line thodi upar se start ho rhi y axis par , wo kahi n kahi thoda sa head ka loss toh hoga ki, kisi n kisi wajah se ..toh agar hm us head loss ko zero kr paye tab jake , curve zero Tak ja skata hai yani x axis tak, jo ki head loss ko zero krna possibility nhi hai shayad

    Why we take 1.25 margin in calculation of shut off head..?

    • @PayosAcademy
      @PayosAcademy  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Very good question Rakesh. During FEED stage engineering we don't have exact hydraulic calculations which may change during detail engineering. That's why we consider this formula on conservative side.
      This formula may vary from company to company.
      Also in detail engineering you get pump shutoff from pump curve.
      Hope this will help you
