M3's love E85,I remember when I had my M4 and started playing with E85 in it,that car would become a monster when running 35-40% of it in complete stock form,I miss that car...

Lol,my wife hated it,"too loud,too stiff,too fast,too expensive",its fate was sealed one night after we got home from dinner out,as she was stepping out of car and closing the door she smashed her thumb with it,she was livid after that and said "I want that car gone!",after a couple of weeks the M4 was gone,ended up getting a new M5 instead but it was not the same,the M4 was the most visceral and fun car I ever owned...

2 door > 4 door; I'm not sure when the whole 4-door Fad started, but I always thought the lines/proportions of the coupe look better. Sweet car though, I'd still take the GTR and a bag of cash to a tuner for better results.

Yaasss F80 on E85 gang!! Great race, fun content you post!! I do the same to modded FBO GTR's all day long. I think out of hellcats, A10 mustangs, ZL1 etc. GTR's are by far what I come across the most and it's GAPPLEBEES every time.

@@Ninowitdavibez Yes, no problem. Don't get suckered into those 20 or 40 rolls against gtr's. Do a standard 60-140 150 160 and watch what happens. Shift at 6,100-6,300 and no higher and its money every time.

Im a BMW M3 F80 owner and I don’t see what the big deal is with him flashing his party lights! I mean what else are you meant to use them for? I have a stick on the side of the column that switches them on a side at a time (if you like that sort of thing, boring).

Nice Race, M-Power all day. Does FBO on the M3 mean just a tune and possible downpipes? 5- seconds into the video, I see a stock engine, i.e. stock charge pipes, intercooler, intakes etc...Running that type of HP on a stock F80 means other engine components will start going bad quick with the increased boost.
Just bolt ons. I mention in the video just" bolt ons " and NOT " full bolt ons." in my title its says fbo so I should change it i guess? Lol. Alot of these m3 and m4 guys don't upgrade intakes and intercooler with stock turbo mainly because heatsoak for open intakes and upgraded intercooler and heat exchanger isn't necessary on stock turbo application for they are pretty efficient as is. And the intake gains are minimal but not worth added heat so lots of them remove charcoal filter only
Now if you watch my m3 CS video against 911 turbo s that m3 is full bolt ons with full turbo back exhaust and intakes on e85. But I don't show the engine bay
@@AutoGlory Got you...I own a 15' M4, FBO. I've been running 24PSI since 23K miles, I now have 52K. At the 35K mile mark, the OEM intercooler started leaking coolant into the intake manifold, Charepipes at the claps were starting to crack and my diff mount cracked, so I ended up replacing the intercooler, charge pipes, and intakes (Closed Injen intake system) to avoid open cone heat soak, and upgraded my diff mount with Turner motorsports bushings and bolts. No problem with the crank hub, 29K miles of increased boost, monthly track visits and no issues. if the M3 in your vid is looking to upgrade the turbos's, everything I named to include spark plugs and the exchanger will have to be upgraded; heck those components go bad on a fully stock F80. Again, great vid. M-Power all the way.

The w204 is quite a wild beast in my experience, the f80 is pretty wild too, but I’d say the w204 has more drama (maybe because of exhaust)

A FBO M4 with stock Turbos running E85 will make 600hp + if done correctly they are fast.From roll that takes away some advantage of AWD GTR especially additional weight doesn't help. Same race from dig you would see different outcome I think GTR would have just beaten M4 but not by much. But This is racing anything can happen good race accept for hazard lights at end of both races kind of childish. Just re-enforce certain stereo type.

If gtr was FBO e85 it wouldve been way closer, and its 10x more reliable and 5x faster 0-60 and looks/sounds better than an m3. But hey if u wanna do FBO e85 on an M3 and rip on it and shred your crankhub u can lol I know many people who have blown there m3s/m4s up from tuning them like crazy without replacing the crankhub.

Your 100% right. If you hear what I said during the video, I did say "bolt ons" and not full bolt ons. So my title is "technically" wrong. It's just s55 owners know all the other parts are very efficient as is and MOST don't upgrade them so I just did FBO in title for that very reason and most ppl know what FBO means instead of BO lol.
I may end up changing the title for technicality reasons as your not the first person to have this conversation with me lol. It was a tough call at the time for the reason I stated above lol
@@AutoGlory yeah I agree I only installed catless dps and charge pipes of course and i’m already making north of 550 wheel which is honestly outstanding gains for less than 1k, but again still a great video nonetheless!!
Yea for less than 1k in parts plus tune to make over 100 more whp is amazing! If you havnt yet seen my 2 most recent videos, it's a friend of mines with an m4 with only DP and CP with e85 and meth whose a little faster then this m3, racing some fast camaros. And also tonight the m4 will be running up against an e85 GTR which will be faster than the 1 on this video. Should be a good race. Stay tuned for that :)

It's what I said on the video and what I wrote in description. Exhaust and intakes with e50 tune. Everything else is stock, performance wise

@@x305HuStLa dynosheets say otherwise. I've seen a complete fbo gtr minus FMIC make an additional 40 whp just from bolting it on and retuning for it. Some other made less. Regardless, it def. Makes a a little difference and ill disagree with you on that 100% because power is power. But also the 2nd benefit is for heat soak after back to back to back runs which do help.

SC & Turbo very big difference. SC with a small displacement is just dumb. Put an SC on 6.0 and you will get benefits.

Both were races were almost on point with reactions. First race honks were rediculous but as you see the cars how they moved...it was clean. 2nd race was a slight jump. Either way m3 was the faster car.

This GTR is 560whp at best. It has no fuel system mods. Run it again when the GTR is actually running E85.

They can be! It depends on mods, fuel, and mostly the tune. M3/m4 are very fast when done right. This gtr was on an e50 tune. Please watch my other video with an e85 gtr vs an m4 with e85 and meth. Very close runs on those

This gtr still has stock fmic and piping on an e50 tune compared to full e85. Don't know how much psi its on though. I can always find out. But every tune is different regarding any car. Keep in mind the BMW is close to 300 lbs lighter so if they are similar hp it gives the m3 the edge. I'm sure their hp numbers aren't that far apart from each other. I haven't seen either on a dyno so....
I agree. I haven't seen many intake and exhaust GTRs make over 600 whp, if any. usually mid to high 500's. Also a FBO F80 on full e85 can crack over 600whp pretty easily. Using those numbers its a much more realistic outcome.
Vovk Home Improvement the problems is not that “something doesn’t add up” the problem is that you’re not used to see a gtr seeing taillights specially from a bmw. The F80 platform is one of the most slept on platforms because they are total sleepers. I’m on e85 and have spanked every gtr I’ve gone against expect 2 but both were sitting at 700whp tuned.

Not true. Another gtr on full e85 and upgraded fuel system with bolt ons raced an m4 on e85 meth and bolt ons did not defeat the m4. Look up the video on my channel. Easiest way is under my gtr Playlist

@@Roy_335is This GTR is not over 600 its around 560whp. I have 2 friends with modded GTR's one has similar set up and made 540 to the wheels the other one is upgraded fuel system fbo e85 and made 655whp.

The GTR is basically on pump gas, no upgraded injectors or pumps. he might as well have the car tuned properly... Dislike when people half ass upgrades.
Intake and exhaust and e50 the GTR is probably making 575ish and weighing 400 pounds more than the bmw. If it was a true FBO e85 it would be a good race.

I drive a fbo GTR on 98 pump gas and i happend to race a water/meth fbo M3 and i smoked him. Not to trash the bmw but that GTR definitely needs another tuner!

I have a more recent video with a gtr on e85 with upgraded fuel kit and bolt ons against an m4. Watch that video. I def. wouldn't call that easily be made faster than an m3/m4. Just saying
