Needed to hear it again. Do you know when the GM simulator for the 2021 C8 will be available. Also you stated you don't buy the Corvette accessories from GM. Where do you buy them? Getting close to doing my paperwork
at the dealers for my 2021. I did it on the 2020 and did add accessories. Want to save money also.

My job offers me a discount to use on new purchases, so hopefully I can get it for $54,000! Plan on putting down 10 grand. So hopefully everything works out from there!

I live next door to a car sales man and my childhood online buddie from Canada also a car sales man now, so when the time comes for me to buy C8: 1LT, I will get both of their opinions :) ,i honestly never even liked cars till I saw Corvette 2020 and heard about its relative low price ! Oh and ya cars do go thru alot of depreciation , like that BMW i8 hybrid car wit the fly up doors, I looked online randomly to see how much you can get it for now, since its old and I believe discontinued due to low sales , it can be got for around 70,000 or lower. I would want one but them doors too CRAZY looking to me !!!

I tried negotiating my C8 2Lt but they’re not having that with that waiting list. They never even got to the lot. I had to order the car a year ago last August and still didn’t get it. The upswing is I am going to get my 2021 for the same price but I still didn’t save because I opt for the 21 convertible but hey, I’m 63 and its my dream car.

@@corndog2441 Yeap paying cash on a depreciating asset isn't the best financial advice, that 89K invested in even the most basic investment vehicle compounded over the same period you'd finance something like this would give you a positive balance over the amoutn of interest you would've paid (WITH good credit). You could take 89K today buy a 6 month Option Call on say Microsoft or Apple or Amazon and DOUBLE that 89K in 6 to 8 months.

I've been looking at the used corvette market with some of the bigger dealers like Kerbeck, Coughlin and in my area Van Bortel Corvettes who normally has around 100 used Corvettes and is down to 40 (all older than a 16). Has the shortage of newer used Corvettes done anything to the market? Thanks

Hello Clarence, thank you for the information. I will definitely keep this nugget in my pocket for future use. I unfortunately will not be able to negotiate my next car. Like you, cringe when I see people raving the engines or racing 0 to 60 before the break-in period. I'm waiting for my next vehicle, a Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S Coupe, to be released before the end of this year. I am looking for a vehicle that has not been test driven to ensure I can properly break it in.

@@cgarnerspeed252 Its the stigma of strip down. I fear having the car strip down to run faster will compromise comfort and structural integrity. I'm okay waiting for the GrandSport or the turbo version. I'm not one to install aftermarket turbos on any car.

Great video, I also think that whoever is buying a C8 vette now is overpaying simply because of the hype and low production due to shortage of supply. Think about Any car that GM produced and didn’t discount? There aren’t any, the C8 will be discounted just like the C7, 10-15k off msrp, plus if they decide to bring the corvette loyalty back, that’s extra 3k! I’d say wait another year or 2, dealers will be discounting heavy.

you waffle on a fair bit without saying much.. but yeah.. you speak the truth.. get more factual and you will get more subscribers (ie...be specific) Why not address issues of depreciation and appreciation (ie... if you spend $80,000 on a car thinking you got a killer deal... and then 2 years later the car is only worth $50K) I dont call that a great deal (as it cost you $15K a year to own that car in those two years) ... so "supply and demand" are huge issues affecting values (and collectability) The thing about the C8 is lack of availability due to production shut downs .. so they didnt produce even 1/2 their projected quota (35,000+).. and apparently the 2022s will be starting up Sept 3. so that may raises the price quite a lot (or not as many pre-orders will just bump up a year)... and hence dealers will get away with 20% mark ups over list (ie.. sooo many people in line) ironically... the low production numbers actually worked in your favour with the pictued C8 (as it becomes rarer and hence actually appreciated as far as collectable) which is sort of rare.. via buying off dealerships etc (ie.. those guys arent in business to lose money( and yes... find out their bottom line... (thats the game ) so yeah.. do your homework.. and be patient.. as there is often a better deal down the line.. if you really know what you want...and then you just your best... armed with information and with options. Apparently they can make 182 C8s per day at full production.. so only 90 ? days left for 2021s.. I cant see C8s getting cheaper. I dont have to own brand spanking new.. so you can save heaps.. keeping in touch with dealers.. and buying repos with very low miles... and like you say.. if you dont have like the colour... just have it wrapped.. thats all I got.. but yeah.. there is many factors.. in getting a good deal.. but there is no great satisfaction.. in getting a great deal.. on something you really didnt want

By the way, Clarence. Thank you for making your key tag/large fob for the C8 Mid-Engine Corvette. A lot of people overlook the acquisition of your key fob/tag. Perhaps they should re-think that decision. There are good reasons for this. People misplace their keys all the time. They misplace them in their purse; in their car; around the house; when eating out; when shopping or even when giving the key to a valet. (heavens forbid!). With that wonderful tag, suddenly YOU CANNOT misplace your key. What a boon to your Corvette. One unusual problem, solved! Thanks, Clarence. AF
