I just bought a 1980 DT 175 and I'm LOVING it! Such a fun little bike! I like 2 strokes so having a street legal one is just so much fun, and the looks I get is great
have you tried to keep up with highway traffic that road beside the highway would be a perfect way to find out because you don't have to get on the highway to find out I know when I had my 74 Yamaha DT175 enduro I could easily keep up with the highway traffic at 70-75 mph but the semi's blow you around because it is a little bike
Garyntara7788 Burbank mine only goes 55mph, I can barely cruise at 45mph. 40mph is the fastest I'd want to cruise for a longer distance, I wish mine could cruise at 55-60mph no problems
Sounds like yours makes (made) a bunch of random rattling noises as well. I get frustrated riding mine thinking it's going to detonate at any point in time.
its been 40 years but I still remember that engine sound !

I have a 1978 DT125 that is green. I have had it since 1980. It is a great bike that I rode as a kid and then my brother rode it as well.
Lol at the slide out of your driveway XD
That's drifting😂
About time for a new piston.
nice old bike , I like the old 2 strokes
Would you do a walk around video on this bike? Looks pretty
Great clip man, I just picked a DT175 up excited to trail it a bit. What were you reaching down and adjusting at 0:45 and 1:20 in?

Kosmoto mine just started rattling like that the other night. I believe it's piston slap. I've only owned mine for a week now
did you tested it on highway
how much would you say one of these is worth in good condition?
Well I sold this bike recently for 1100 in decent shape
+Ben Silcox thanks. have one and haven't rode it in years and was looking to sell it.
1300 at most for a good one....I paid 1k for mine with 500 original miles...it has been sitting since the 90s
About $650
