I generally prefer Japanese cars… but here i have to go for the Lotus
S2K owner here. You can’t go wrong with either, and they will both go up in value!
I am Dr. Sakamoto, an anesthesiologist from Japan. I attended Dr. Hadzic’s lecture at the Japanese Society of Anesthesiology. I’ve been following NYSORSA’s TH-cam channel for a while, and I also checked out DR BLUES. I was surprised to learn that Dr. Hadzic is a car enthusiast and owns a Honda S2000.
Before becoming a physician, I was passionate about cars, and since becoming a doctor, I’ve owned three Honda Integra Type R cars. Currently, I drive a Subaru WRX STI. Like Dr. Hadzic, I enjoy driving sports cars on winding roads.
When teaching nerve blocks to residents, just as Dr. Hadzic uses car analogies, I also explain physiology to trainees using comparisons to engine performance.
Both cars are amazing and the s2000 is one of my favorites, but it would be hard to beat the elise, considering its size and power. I still think the lotus esprit is absolutely awesome as well despite the maintenance horror stories you hear about them.
I have the S2K because all my friends Elises leaked amongst other difficult reliability and quality issues. It's more special than the Honda, but I don't regret choosing the more versatile yet still plenty visceral car. The Elises were 2-3 year ownerships, I've had my AP2 for a decade.
Lotus Elise all the way.
Great job! For next driving videos, it could be possible to fix a camera on the pedalbox to film your footwork please? :)
I love an S2K, but an Elise is unbeatable
Indeed. A great car! Not for everyone though. Rough on rougher roads, and tough to get in and out, particularly for tall people!
@@DRBLUESNYC I'm 1.9m and dailied an S3 Elise and then an Exige 350 without an issue. They have a surprising amount of leg room, but the aftermarket digital dashes are a big upgrade for tall people that can't see the top of rev counter (due to fixed steering wheel position).
nice roads!!
They are! Thanks for watching!
Lotus, all day long!
Good choice!
S2000 for me
S2K for the win. All maintenance items available at local auto parts and maintenance is super easy and low cost. Great gas mileage and awesome Japanese engineering.
We're calling it the S2K now?
Often called that way. It helps fit into the title! Greetings!

S2000 forever ❤
Elise is equipped with a supercharger, so the S2000 is at a disadvantage
Two Real Viscéral Driving Machines but two different ways to enjoy. Lotus more for the performances et agility without compromise on short road trips ( day or weekend) and low confort. Honda more to enjoy twisty roads on day, weekend and medium long trips accros contries, with decent trunck and confort.
Owner of a Honda S2K AP1 phase 2 just baack from a 2500 km trip
changed gears way too early on the S2000 ;)
He can’t handle it already 😂
Ive owned both cars before just 2005 s2k ap2 and 2005 Lotus Elise.. and its not even close the Lotus is on different level.. I’ve owned 2 Elise by now
s2k all the way
I love that tooo
Having owned both, Lotus is in another class. Doesn't mean the s2000 isn't good. It's great however it's built with comprises where the Lotus is focused on 1 goal
k swapped elise 🤷🏽♂️
S2000, hands down
