One of the writers for this show read in some medical journal that some studies in Norway or Sweden wondered if performing surgery nude reduced the chances for infection spread so of course they had to add this as a storyline. RIP Sagan Lewis.
I feel bad for Dr Aushlander's character but he is right about letting go. The naked surgery thing just seems silly. I suppose that experiments are silly sometimes but end up leading to new discoveries. Silly, though.
