SO happy to be able to share this episode with you guys! Ricky is a huge inspiration of ours, so it's always an honour to sit down personally with him and learn from him! Please drop a like on the episode!
Love the podcasts Jack but could you look into altering the sound as it’s too quiet on some parts? Great to see you with Gervais though you can see that your humour is inspired by him. :)
I think you did this brilliantly Jack, this is the best of the recent Ricky podcasts because he so clearly really likes you and your personalities are very well suited. You managed to get more genuine answers from him because I reckon he sees a bit of himself in you. You appealed to his roots and where he came from which I've always thought is where Ricky's genius comes from. Top job mate.

I'm a huge Ricky Gervais fan and have been for fifteen or so years. Having kept a keen eye on his recent interviews, I realised how much he repeats himself, often telling the same anecdotes across multiple interviews. Having not been a fan of TH-camrs I chose not to watch this when it came out, but watching it now I realise this is a really refreshing and original insight. Go on lad, interview by somebody who's obviously a real fan.
This was a really enjoyable podcast and you could tell Ricky appreciated the thoughtful questions. Had laughs, serious moments and the bits were you asked for advice on stand up/writing was genuinely wholesome af. Great work 👌
Never heard RG go into details about the minutiae of his work like he did when you asked him the technical questions. That was really interesting to hear his writing process etc
Just from a sound tech's perspective, the microphones, especially Ricky's need some serious compression. I enjoyed the video, but it was sometimes harder to hear what people are saying, so id' recommend either compressing or change the microphones to ones with larger diaphragms so the change between speaking closely and further away isn't as important. I just had to mention it. Great video either way.
He’s a top guy and one of very few celebrities that are down to earth. I’ve recently watched his Netflix series afterlife and I’m annoyed with myself that I didn’t watch it sooner because it’s brilliant. Ricky must have been a pleasure to talk with and I could only imagine how much fun someone working with him would have. I love it when Ricky is on your podcast. It's no media questions that he's going to get in every interview. Obviously there's some things you have to ask, like what is After Life about but other than that always seems fun.
Ricky talking about money and how you should use it smartly is exactly what I think. Enjoy it while you have it. Do what you want with it. As long as you’re doing what you enjoy in life and are getting paid a decent wage, you’re winning. I love Ricky. What a guy 🤍
