Cheers is one of my favourite shows so the passing of Kirstie really broke my heart💔 I send my deepest condolences to the Alley family as well as Kirstie’s friends and loved ones during this very difficult time.
I always preferred the dynamic between Sam and Rebecca to the Sam\Diane thing. While I do enjoy the Sam\Diane relationship, the bond between Sam and Rebecca actually evolved and the two became genuine best friends. She was the first real female friend he ever had, not counting Carla who was basically one of the guys.
Towards the end of my drinking, 9 year's ago, it a wasn't good, but nevertheless, at 11 p.m. she'd come on, the whole crew, I'd have a couple beers, live to see another day, God Bless.
I didn't watch many episodes of the show after Diane left because I thought her relationship with Sam was the very essence of Cheers, but Rebecca was funny too, and in her way just as screwed up as Diane.

Kirstie was so naturally talented and funny and Rebecca was a great character following Diane/Shelley.
Many years of laughs that still continues.
