I like how simple it is to build and looks clean. I play single player, if I run into trouble I am going to try to Ghost mode since it sometimes allows you to put foundations underground if the terrain becomes a bit uneven.
For people asking about terrain not being flat, just use Structures Plus, it's basically mandatory for any kind of building. You can build it across any kind of terrain no matter how janky, and it will still be a smooth wall. I don't know why it's not already in the base game
@@Eli-ds3wh pillars put Piller to Lower to desired level or put ceiling and build wall down if it's too much of a hill. Also on PS4 you can change placement and just play with it over and over. It's the same for Conan exiles.

At the end of February they added straight and curved Stone Battlements to ark with the Trike and Raptor TLCs. They cost 900 stone, thatch, and wood each and are as tall as behemoth gateways and cover a huge width. They’re awesome for Dino pens also.

Since I haven't played this game, this might be a silly question, but why don't you build the wall with only foundation blocks? I mean, this looks like a proper wall, but it's hollow. I know that buildings can be destroyed in the game, so why not build thick walls? Is it because of the amount of resources required, or is there some kind of building mechanic that doesn't let you stack foundation blocks? This is an honest question, by the way. I'm not complaining, I'm just curious :-)
Does this work on uneven ground? I used the technique that you showed in your Water Pen 2 video to build a wall via the pillar and stone ceiling method. This makes sure the wall is all even up top regardless of the terrain below it. It came out similar to this where it's double wall and you can go inside or on top of the wall.

im pretty sure he should make an app for ark builds he's pretty good at building and his builds have helped a lot!
I'd recommend replacing the stone railings with stone doorways, if you would like to have the top of your walls look more like battlements.
Good idea I might make another video with this in mind

i am building a city with all of aaron's builds and i use this mod called stack able foundations when dealing with uneven terrain.
Ceiling and pillars then use walls from there as normal, close the gap to the ground with walls as well

No it is not a silly question building in are is so frustrating at times unfortunately you can not stack foundations

Bit late here, but you should manoeuvre the foundation around to a point where it doesn't snap, yet is still next to the next foundation.
