    Thanks for this video! I started HRT due to what I learned from you. I feel so much better and healthier, almost like I’m aging in reverse. My body needs estrogen! I have referred several women to your channel. We need all the information we can get about menopause. 🧡

    I'm glad that you are doing this whole series. I have watched everything from the beginning and have the book. Unfortunately I did not discover you until after I had sustained several compression fractures due to osteoporosis I didn't know I had. I was only 54 and one year post menopausal. I am now on Prolia. Unfortunately that won't bring back the 3" in height that I lost due to the fractures, but hopefully will prevent future fractures. Thanks to your series and the education that I gained I now take HRT and intend on taking it indefinitely. I also tell all of my female friends about you. Keep up the awesome work!

      Can you please tell us what you did to gain BMD? I did high intensity weight training and gained 1% BMD in 2 years from age 36 to 38. No HRT.

    You look pretty and pink today! As you know I had a devastating fracture that took me 4 years to recover from due to having toxic metal put in me that made me have the bones of a 90 year old but my bones have improved. I found out about this from having a devastating fracture that really devastated my life and finances. I am grateful for this education!

      My hope is that every woman can learn what I teach in these osteoporosis videos so that no one ever has to endure a fracture again. As you'll see, there is really no reason women should be fracturing. The problem is that they do not get the information they need ignorer to avoid it.

    What I sense is there is an overwhelming lack of knowledge by many doctors and medical professionals when it comes to women when they hit menopause. Heart attacks, osteoporosis and alzheimers risks at menopause is a topic medical students need to get more education on.
    I'm glad I had a gyno oncology surgeon willing to give me estrogen replacement! It's kicked in and I'm feeling better.

    This unit is definately depressing BUT knowledge is power. I definately cant worry about it and not live.
    I also dont want to live a long life unless I can live a good quality of life.
    I am glad you build upon everything or I would be overwhelmed. 😬😬

    I responded to a couple of calls (many years ago) where a woman laid on the floor all night after falling. Each time, they were in good spirits...just cold and hurting. The next day, they died. I thought...when I am old, don’t fall or you’ll die.
    I had no clue it was due to osteoporosis. I mean, when I heard that word, I certainly did not think it was a serious thing.
    I beg to differ with myself now...learning from Menopause University. Thank you.

      The sad thing is that the experiences of those women who died following a fall is so common. It's just shocking to think that a fall can kill you, even when it's not a traumatic fall or in an unfamiliar environment. Most of these women fall in their own homes.

    Can you suggest the Best over the counter estrogen supplements..
    I was on HRT..off..

      There are no legitimate "over-the-counter" estrogen supplements unless you care noting about any long-term benefits such as preventing heart attack, osteoporosis, or Alzheimer's.

    Dr Taylor, love you hat. Could you please advise us on what exercises is helpful to strengthen our bones for Oseto? I hear you about nutrient, taking you estrogen but what about exercise. I heard you in a few other videos touching on it as part of the whole. So I goggled exercise for your bones. That was a joke. Got everything from walking to power weights which I know are not good. So can you please enlighten your views. Thank you. D.

      Videos 212, 213, 214, and 215 will all be on exercise for preventing osteoporosis and falls. You will also see multiple videos in this osteoporosis unit that designate precisely what exercise CAN and CANNOT do in terms of how much bone you have. Just be sure to watch all the videos in this unit. And I promise you will get everything you need. There re 35 osteoporosis videos in this unit.

    Is dry mouth a symptom of perimenopause because ive been having a dry mouth for 3 weeks I'm miserable and dr hasn't told me I'm perimenopausel but I have to be because I'm 56 and still have my period 😡 I think my dr got tired of me complaining after telling me that all my blood test are normal in which I don't think there normal because my Ac1 is 5.6 and she told me I'm far from menopause 😡 something is going on with my body or I'm loosing it 😔😢😢😢😢

      This is true. You will learn all the risk factors in video 203. And you will see that Caucasian race and thin body habits are two of the risk factors.

    Thank you for sharing all of your videos! I think you are amazing and truly so helpful! Please may I ask should you be on the HRT patch in your perimenopause, or is it just once you get to your menopause? My mother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle all have osteoporosis so I do worry but found my hormones went through the roof while on the HRT patch before due to maybe having too much progesterone I'm guessing? so I thought I would wait until I reach my menopause but worry is that too late? thank you so much for your help.

      You may start HRT at any time.
      Think of it as bridging the gap between losing your own estrogen and replacing it.
      Compare it to losing your insulin. How long would you want to go without it or with a deficiency of it before replacing it?

    Sorry, Dr. Taylor, I'm still confused. When people say that you should lift weights to strengthen your bones post-menopause, does the resistance increase the density/quality of your bones or the quantity of bone mass? I remember in a previous video you talked about your own exercise routine and, in that, you lifted some light weights...

      I will give you 4 videos on exercise FOR osteoporosis in this unit: 212, 213, 214, and 215. Exercise increases the density of your bones ... but only to a point. It is not possible to replace lost bone with exercise. It is only possible to prevent bone loss you have normal bone.

I remember reading once that falls were the biggest danger in old age, that once an elderly person fell and sustained an injury, quality of life usually deteriated very quickly. Even if it's worse for women, it affects men too. My own father passed away, indirectly, from a fall when he fell and broke his hip. Becuase the bone had shattered into so many pieces, he needed surgery for the doctors to go in and try and piece it back together. But he didn't survive the general anethesia...thanks for educating us on this.

    How if I have estrogen dominance in menopause ..been in menopause for 3 years...should I just take progesterone? If I take bioidentical usp estrodial I get sooo tired hungry hot flashes and feel like crap ...

      This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU.

I watched your video on when to start HRT and what I thought I heard was that my body has not had estrogen for so long it could be damaging. 💁🏼‍♀️

    Hi Dr Taylor. I am on oestrogen patches and really struggling to remove the glue from them. How on earth do you get it gone without damaging the skin?

      I dont know what Dr Barbie will tell you but just sharing my experience. yes they are super difficult. I use medical tape.

      The glue is the most common complaint about the patches. Most women just let it wear off.

      Try some eye makeup remover on a qtip - roll over the glue a few times till it sticks to the qtip.
