Great video ❤. I’m an esthy and working 30 yrs in the biz. I call high volume clients. Heavy hitters. 😂❤. I book out an extra 30 min with each client. I do that for a private shopping appt after their fabulous facial. It’s not just skincare. I have a wonderful gift shop. Maybe my client has a bday party next day to go to. They can get a bday gift and even a card. I sell it all. A good heavy hitter client leaves my place after 1:30 min and their bill is 1500$. 🎉
“If you can get it anywhere then it’s not high value”. Sis, I’m not sure if you are preachin’ or teachin’ but I’m here for it ALL 💪🏾👏🏾Can’t wait for the next 2 parts. I have a page full of notes from just this one video!!
Couldn't have said it better, i love that you touched on how important it is to sell products so that your clients can maintain your services. Thank you for this video
This honestly helped me so much, I feel a shift is happening in my business and for the longest I felt like I need to Charge my worth but I honestly didn’t know where to start.. this helped
Im glad to hear you enjoyed this Be sure to check out my new video on how to attract those new clients that are in alignment with where your business is headed
Hey beautiful, thank you for your comment on my nails. I’m glad you loved the video. I save a lot of my sets to my nail highlights on my Instagram page.
I have to say I really enjoyed your video. All the way from South Africa and running a nail business for 10 years. One can never stop.learning. your points show that I'm on the right track. Thank you 🌸
I love this what stood out to me was putting together packages. Can you make a video on that? Also as a stylist I get a lot of clients who have dealt with unprofessional stylist 😫
Yes! I’m glad that stood out! I’m in the process of creating a class around packages 🙌🏽 but yes we will DEFINITELY be going over that. Also being unprofessional is terrible for your reputation! We will discuss this!
Thanks 😊 for fertilizing my faith in the hair business I love doing fashion show but haven't since covit and I want to do start doing it this summer again because this is my passion and Y I got into cosmetology. You are amazing keep doing what you do. ✨️
Thank you Madelyne! This in not an easy industry to get into you have to be in it for the long haul but attracting like minded clients is a major key! Glad this video helped!
This video is Phenomenal! If you live in a big city and just starting it it might be hard to be centrally located. I definitely agree that it would be a lot of help.
Being central is ideal but ultimately being close to your ideal client is most important. Since i started on the west side most of my clients were there but my bi-weekly clients were across town. Glad you enjoyed it!
This is really great advice, but what about for the new people in business who are starting from zero. They have zero clientele. They have no idea how to build their clientele. Maybe it’s spotty and inconsistent? When you’re at zero, I think there needs to be realistic expectations set for beginners, who are looking to grow your clientele that you’re not going to automatically attract high-paying or high-quality clients in the beginning right out the gate what about that part? Honestly, that’s what I thought this video is about and so far for beginners. This isn’t very informative. You make a lot of great points! For someone who is further down the line, but someone starting from zero this isn’t that informative with all the love and respect.
Thank you for sharing. While I can appreciate you perspective I can't help but acknowledge the limitations you're putting on yourself as a new comer to the industry. Before I was licensed I was selling products and extensions, so its truly up to you how much you believe you are capable of attracting high value clients services products etc. there will always be the girl who offers $10 haircuts its up to you to decide how long you want to be that girl. I moved into my salon suite 6 months after graduating school and never folded, was there 7 years before I moved out. I hope your stick around for more videos where I dive further into our belief system. And I can cover a "from scratch" video but this topic is on making changes to your set up. If talent or skillset is what's got you in a choke hold then take whatever classes you need to take to change your belief system. hope this helps.
I’m an esthy with 30 yrs experience. If you have zero clients you need lots of practice. Practice for a small fee on friends and family. You need to get comfortable asking for feedback. What they liked or didn’t like. Clients like to be invited in. Everywhere I went I invited people to come see me me. The nice waitress at lunch. I’d had my card and say I would love to give you a facial ❤. I joined the local book club and garden club. Not because I enjoy them. But because I wanted to meet people out of my day to day life that I could invite in for a facial. I’ll be honest. I gave 6-8 facials a day for 8 yrs at my first job. 5 days a week. I really did t feel confident for 3-5 yrs. Think out of the box. Find a busy hairdresser and near by. Then offer them a free facial. They will then send you people. But my biggest advice. If you only have one brow wax that day. And that client asks if you’re busy. Say yes I’m so busy. Today has been great. No one wants to go somewhere that they think isn’t busy. Most clubs if you drive by and it looks dead. You won’t go in. I always said how wonderful my biz was even on slow days. And before long I was booked out. Now I am semi retired. Only work April til Nov. I book out for a year In advance. Have waiting list 10 people all the time. Have not taken a new client for years. ❤. Keep pushing forward ❤.
