    I thought the video would have some sound comparison...

      Got plenty of videos with in-depth demos where you can hear these guitars in action, this video is a quick summary of the differences. Thanks for watching.

    Was saving for a Prog but played a Fusion yesterday. Saving for the Fusion now.

      That's awesome! The neck through really is a game changer, I wish they did the original or prog with tremolo on a 7 neck through. I'd buy that in a heart beat!

      I got the Fusion last month and totally love it. It has a dark green stain. Not black. Even better.

      @@billmillmine3106 Congrats on the new axe! The fusion is one of strandberg's best guitars they make right now!

    I want to order a custom Moser on Neal website, but for the high price, I will probably never be able to replace it so I am scared of choosing the less durable one between the bolt on and the neck thru and break it. It's something I would really protect and take care of though.

    Great video and explanation -- thanks! I know that Strandberg is supposed to debut neck-thru versions of the prog and original 6 (as were seen at NAMM), but I'm guessing the pandemic has slowed those plans. Question: are neck-thru's like the one you have more difficult to intonate than the bolt-ons?

    • @aminorerror
      @aminorerror  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words and commenting! I didn't know they're debuting those, that's really exciting! Intonation on a neck thru is the same as a bolt on, there's no difference to the process. Where things get tricky is you can't adjust the neck angle on a neck thru obviously like you could with a shim on a bolt on. But there's no difference otherwise.

    Having played both for me there is a massive difference between the Neck Thru Strandbergs and the bolt-ons. I first played bolt-on Bodens and thought they felt like little toys. The guitars felt far too flimsy for me and I really disliked the feel, thankfully I didn't give up and managed to get ahold of the Neck Thru versions which are outstanding. Immediately everything felt right and I could play the guitar for hours. I really hope they start making a bigger range of guitars with the neckthru design. Not a big fan of the Purple or Yellow choices I have lol.

      Did you play a 7 or an 8 string bolt on? With the 8 ESP, the bolt on is still nice. I know what you mean in that they feel like toys...at first. My 8 is pretty heavy, around the weight of a normal guitar, so I can only imagine how heavy a 'normal' guitar would be with 8 strings, headstock and tuners.
      I'm in love with my 7 OS original bolt on, it's got a snappiness to it, with is why a lot of people like bolt on's. It plays as good as any guitar I've ever owned and the playability is insane. I'm waiting impatiently for a neck thru Original or Prog 7 string model.

      Also an OS 7 bolt-on owner and I don’t know how anyone can dislike this guitar in any way except for the reasons stated in this video.

    Great video! I am really hoping Strandberg will take the neck through design to their 7 and 8 string guitars! I love my new Fusion Neck through.

      That would be such a killer guitar, I feel like its gotta be in the works. The fact that they're the only real brand out there doing a multi scale with a tremolo, pair that with a neck thru design and a great set of passive PU's and that would be a tone BEAST! Congrats again on the new axe, its one amazing tone machine

      @@aminorerror Thanks, It is a fantastic guitar! I think it's a no brainer for Strandberg! Seeing how the extended range guitars are super popular these days.

    Good video! I’ve owned both but currently I own 4 bolt on necks. I like the Brighter sound a lot. I think Ibanez AANJ is the perfect one for me. I get that brighter tone I like and the access is pretty amazing. Even playing my prestige 8 the higher frets are super easy to play even on the huge neck with that neck joint.
    I definitely like bolt on best but wouldn’t mind a neck thru😄

    • @aminorerror
      @aminorerror  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That makes a lot of sense, I haven't had a chance to play an Ibanez 8 ever actually, my 'berg was my first. I def agree about the AANJ, it's basically perfect when it comes to bolt on neck designs.
      Personally, I prefer the bolt on for rhythm stuff but just absolutely love the tone of a neck thru for leads. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Look like very comfortable guitars to play on a chair but does neck bows when you stand?

    • @aminorerror
      @aminorerror  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean by bows but the Strandberg design is probably the most comfortable guitar to play standing out there. Besides the fact that the guitar is very light, it's also perfectly balanced on the strap with the strap pins located on the back of the upper horn. The neck is also beefier than your average neck because of the endure neck profile. Check out my other video explaining the benefits to their unique design!

      @@aminorerror Well I mean if guitar isn’t balanced well and have some tricky body shapes the neck may goes down so you have to hold it to keep it in place. But I got your idea about Strandbergs haven’t heard about them for a long time probably because I’m not into and can’t afford a Ferrari)
