BloodKills BB didn't really give a fuck about anything else except the fruit. Everything turned out pretty good for him, anyway, with Ace getting locked up and BB becoming a shichibukai and so on.

I never noticed before but the yami yami no mi is like upgraded haki in some things, being able to nullify devil fruit, you dont get very hurt in dark form though you still feel the pain only more, it looked like anyone weak enough would be knocked out by touching the darkness, and when he can probably us the void to see far away if he had left some darkness there
Here's a thought, when Burgess fought Luffy and Sabo in Dressrossa he claimed that he was going to take their devil fruit powers (at least Sabo's Mera-Mera I think) and while he did that he was wielding a strange knife, later on that arc I recall that Koala mentioned that Doflamingo was selling a strange kind of steel (in Spanish it was called "acero de vino", meaning "wine steel"). So, could it be that this special steel has something to do with Blackbeards ability to steal devil fruit powers? I mean it looked like burgess was going to shiv the hell out of Sabo with that knife himself, and if we ascribe to your theory of devil fruit powers containing an essence that can be transferred from one body to another even without eating a fruit (aka Big Mom eating Mother Caramel), this could also explain how Spandam's sword Funkfried or that cannon with the Dog-Dog fruit exist, they might be made of that wine steel, and the main thing about that steel could be that it has the ability to contain the essence of devil fruits.

I like to imagine that despite the name, the fruit isn't just about darkness (the lack of light), but rather emptiness (the lack of anything - imagine the Nothing from the movie 'The Neverending Story', except being able to control it, thus an awakening would probably be just as catastrophic as in that movie). That would explain the ability to create vaccums, store objects and living beings and why the user can't become his element (how do you turn into nothing? And how would you turn back from nothing?).

DF users still have a physical body to revert to. Your question could apply to any fruit user, like Luffy he is always rubber, to reach his you need haki or Blackbeard's fruit.

Now this is where it gets interesting. we dont know much about Teach's past, but the only thing we have seen was him crying and in tattered clothing as a child. If the fruit was always in his family's possession one of his parents ma have had it, the Gorusei may have somehow found out about this and ordered for his entire family to be wiped out, leaving him an orphan with no home, hence the tattered clothing. After this he could have spent his entire life searching the world for this fruit after being taught about it as a kid. He could have become a bad guy because of what happened to him, or he is just fulfilling his families destiny. They were the family that still had all the knowledge of the void century, all the devil fruits, and the true Will of D. He could be capturing all the devil fruits for this reason, trying to fulfill the true Will of D. or he got pissed off and is out for revenge trying to destroy the world because he knows how fucked up the world government truly is :)

The "you have to train to be able to change into your element by reflex" thing is a myth, a normal logia (ie. not Yami Yami) user cannot be hit/damage by normal physical attacks at all, period, it has nothing to do with training. Think about Sabo who has the Flame power for a few minutes and still cannot be hit by fodder marine's weapons be it bullets or swords, there is no time for him to get used to his transformations let alone doing it reflexively through long time use. Also consider this: if a logia user can still be hit by normal attacks as long as they were not trained to reflexively or intentionally changing their body to counter, for example any new users of the fruits, they would never have garnered the reputation of invincibility all around the world outside the New World itself, because they would drop like flies against sneak attacks. What I propose is that the reflex thing is inherited and always passive active, therefore no training is required for it to work, of course it only works against normal physical attacks, you still need future sight to avoid haki infused or elemental attacks.
You know thinking about how Blackbeard can still be hurt by someone if they are physically strong enough without their fruit reminded me of something. We are reminded of how monstrously strong Luffy is every once in a while. I mean he has accomplished some crazy feats without using his rubber powers. So how cool would it be if Luffy either defeats Blackbeard or at least starts gaining ground in their fight by fighting him up close. It would be quite poetic showing Luffy is more that his powers and that this power Blackbeard longed for is letting him down. Also it is always fun to see villains lose because they are overconfident and that is exactly how Blackbeard is when it comes to his fruit.
I remember something about a person retaining their body's current state after they eat a devil fruit, which is why logia can have scars and also explains Luffy's immense strength. Given this, he's actually very muscular, but because his body is somewhat that of a child's (since he was 7 when he ate the fruit) his muscles are condensed to try to fit the original form. His stretching abilities could also make it much easier to build muscle. Just an idea. It could be wrong.
Obversechaos I think it's just that luffys rubber body allows for much denser leaner muscle. So where a normal person gains muscle mass/size from training, Luffys muscles just get denser. So basically, he gets all the strength and none of the size. Its pretty awesome really, it means he gets all the strength but none of the loss of speed and agility that usually comes with bein hella ripped lol
We’ve been getting hints as to what his weaknesses are over the course of the story and yes Luffy’s haki will definitely be the deciding factor in his fight with B.B. there’s no question about it since his df powers can do nothing to protect him against B.B.’s two df powers a rubber body won’t protect you from his darkness since one touch deactivates your df powers so long as he’s touching you and Luffy can still be effected by his ability to suck you in via his vortex . Now with Haki it might be possible for Luffy to defend against BB’s Quake attacks but I tend to doubt it seeing as its functionally the same as Lucci’s Rokuogan which damaged Luffy despite his body being rubber . So the only way I see Luffy winning is by using B.B.’s weaknesses against him as well as the fact that so far Blackbeard isn’t exactly speedy whereas Luffy even without G2 can run at incredible speeds . Blackbeard’s whole method of fighting seems to revolve around bringing his opponent to him and then attacking when they’re in his grasp . He’ll probably fight defensively using Armaments to protect himself and for offense suck you in then attack with a quake punch .
Blackbeard isn't a slouch in strength either, though. While he does rely on his devil fruits a lot, he is also very physically imposing and, I imagine, very strong. It would be a tough fight for Luffy either way

Yes, that is what I'm saying as well. The whole "him feeling more pain than a normal person" thing doesn't make sense. The pain actually doesn't affect him as much bcz he absorbs it. Looking at different translations for that sentence. "My body takes in all the damage of a normal human, and more" doesn't seem like he nullifies pain. "My body sucks in "pain" more than anything else." Ok, this one seems like he nullifies pain. "My body absorbs all pain... and that pain is amplified in the process." Well this one sure looks like he gets hurt more than others. Now looking at some different points where he gets hit, even with minor attacks, he rolls around and scream on the ground. That seems more in line with him feeling more pain, than him somehow removing it with his devilfruit.

And Marco’s fruit would negate that to a degree he’s basically choosing df powers for the sake of covering his bases the Gura Gura no mi takes care of his inability to attack at a distance and Marco’s fruit would counteract the fact that he takes in more pain than anyone else allowing him to essentially fight for days without tiring since whenever he’s healed which happens immediately after he takes damage he also becomes full rejuvenated as well.

I like to imagine that despite the name, the fruit isn't just about darkness (the lack of light), but rather emptiness (the lack of anything - imagine the Nothing from the movie 'The Neverending Story', except being able to control it, thus an awakening would probably be just as catastrophic as in that movie). That would explain the ability to create vaccums, store objects and living beings and why the user can't become his element (how do you turn into nothing? And how would you turn back from nothing?).

DF users still have a physical body to revert to. Your question could apply to any fruit user, like Luffy he is always rubber, to reach his you need haki or Blackbeard's fruit.

Teach is part of the D clan, and its possible that the D clan are closely linked to the devil fruits right? so maybe going all the way back Blackbeards ancestry line, his family have been the only users of the Yami Yami No Mi, trying to keep it hidden from the world, maybe for good because they knew how powerful and dangerous it was. Maybe his ancestors are some of the only ones that really passed on the legacy of the D clan and told every generation thoroughly about what it meant. That could be why Blackbeard wants the One Piece so bad, it probably has something very important to the D clan, or it could contain knowledge of the Void Century and he could expose the World Government with it. Now this is where it gets interesting. we dont know much about Teach's past, but the only thing we have seen was him crying and in tattered clothing as a child. If the fruit was always in his family's possession one of his parents ma have had it, the Gorusei may have somehow found out about this and ordered for his entire family to be wiped out, leaving him an orphan with no home, hence the tattered clothing. After this he could have spent his entire life searching the world for this fruit after being taught about it as a kid. He could have become a bad guy because of what happened to him, or he is just fulfilling his families destiny. They were the family that still had all the knowledge of the void century, all the devil fruits, and the true Will of D. He could be capturing all the devil fruits for this reason, trying to fulfill the true Will of D. or he got pissed off and is out for revenge trying to destroy the world because he knows how fucked up the world government truly is :)

1:Eat a ton of apples(or others fruits)
2:Kill aanother devil fruit user before the fruits inside you are digested
3:Hope the devil fruit will reapear inside one of those fruits
4:The devil inside the devil fruit will be in pieces because the devil fruit reincarned up in pieces
You have a great way of explaining things. Usually anime analysts come off as cringey but you balance it well. Yes, that is a compliment lol you are very easy tp watch. Wish you reviewed other animes. I.e My Hero, Naruto etc
The "you have to train to be able to change into your element by reflex" thing is a myth, a normal logia (ie. not Yami Yami) user cannot be hit/damage by normal physical attacks at all, period, it has nothing to do with training. Think about Sabo who has the Flame power for a few minutes and still cannot be hit by fodder marine's weapons be it bullets or swords, there is no time for him to get used to his transformations let alone doing it reflexively through long time use. Also consider this: if a logia user can still be hit by normal attacks as long as they were not trained to reflexively or intentionally changing their body to counter, for example any new users of the fruits, they would never have garnered the reputation of invincibility all around the world outside the New World itself, because they would drop like flies against sneak attacks. What I propose is that the reflex thing is inherited and always passive active, therefore no training is required for it to work, of course it only works against normal physical attacks, you still need future sight to avoid haki infused or elemental attacks.

You know thinking about how Blackbeard can still be hurt by someone if they are physically strong enough without their fruit reminded me of something. We are reminded of how monstrously strong Luffy is every once in a while. I mean he has accomplished some crazy feats without using his rubber powers. So how cool would it be if Luffy either defeats Blackbeard or at least starts gaining ground in their fight by fighting him up close. It would be quite poetic showing Luffy is more that his powers and that this power Blackbeard longed for is letting him down. Also it is always fun to see villains lose because they are overconfident and that is exactly how Blackbeard is when it comes to his fruit.
I remember something about a person retaining their body's current state after they eat a devil fruit, which is why logia can have scars and also explains Luffy's immense strength. Given this, he's actually very muscular, but because his body is somewhat that of a child's (since he was 7 when he ate the fruit) his muscles are condensed to try to fit the original form. His stretching abilities could also make it much easier to build muscle. Just an idea. It could be wrong.
Obversechaos I think it's just that luffys rubber body allows for much denser leaner muscle. So where a normal person gains muscle mass/size from training, Luffys muscles just get denser. So basically, he gets all the strength and none of the size. Its pretty awesome really, it means he gets all the strength but none of the loss of speed and agility that usually comes with bein hella ripped lol
We’ve been getting hints as to what his weaknesses are over the course of the story and yes Luffy’s haki will definitely be the deciding factor in his fight with B.B. there’s no question about it since his df powers can do nothing to protect him against B.B.’s two df powers a rubber body won’t protect you from his darkness since one touch deactivates your df powers so long as he’s touching you and Luffy can still be effected by his ability to suck you in via his vortex . Now with Haki it might be possible for Luffy to defend against BB’s Quake attacks but I tend to doubt it seeing as its functionally the same as Lucci’s Rokuogan which damaged Luffy despite his body being rubber . So the only way I see Luffy winning is by using B.B.’s weaknesses against him as well as the fact that so far Blackbeard isn’t exactly speedy whereas Luffy even without G2 can run at incredible speeds . Blackbeard’s whole method of fighting seems to revolve around bringing his opponent to him and then attacking when they’re in his grasp . He’ll probably fight defensively using Armaments to protect himself and for offense suck you in then attack with a quake punch .

Blackbeard isn't a slouch in strength either, though. While he does rely on his devil fruits a lot, he is also very physically imposing and, I imagine, very strong. It would be a tough fight for Luffy either way

I think you misundertood blackbeard words.... he can feel pain from attack even if he uses his evil fruit to try to absorb it, but he can nulify that pain after getting it by his devil fruit, so he feel the pain of the attack when he gets hit but after that he can absorb tha pain with his power so he'll be like nothing
Yes, that is what I'm saying as well. The whole "him feeling more pain than a normal person" thing doesn't make sense. The pain actually doesn't affect him as much bcz he absorbs it. That's why even though he can't turn intangible like other logias, he can take a beating a keep going. I believe that is what blackbeard meant when he explained it to Ace.
Looking at different translations for that sentence.
"My body takes in all the damage of a normal human, and more" doesn't seem like he nullifies pain.
"My body sucks in "pain" more than anything else." Ok, this one seems like he nullifies pain.
"My body absorbs all pain... and that pain is amplified in the process." Well this one sure looks like he gets hurt more than others.
Now looking at some different points where he gets hit, even with minor attacks, he rolls around and scream on the ground. That seems more in line with him feeling more pain, than him somehow removing it with his devilfruit.
I thought of it like he feels the pain like every human but he can nullify it after with his darkness, maybe I'm wrong, definally we'll get the explaination in the future... (I hope my english isn't bad because I'm spanish xd)
Hmmm, maybe he feels the same amount of pain in total, as others, but with his darkness he suck in all the pain and feel ALL of it at once, then it's gone.
And Marco’s fruit would negate that to a degree he’s basically choosing df powers for the sake of covering his bases the Gura Gura no mi takes care of his inability to attack at a distance and Marco’s fruit would counteract the fact that he takes in more pain than anyone else allowing him to essentially fight for days without tiring since whenever he’s healed which happens immediately after he takes damage he also becomes full rejuvenated as well.
