Thanks a lot VioleTAK, you've brought many excellent games to the casual TH-cam community. Your mini write-ups for the VODs are always a pleasure to read, truly capturing the great atmosphere of professional SC in Korea and the influence of the pros. This is the closest many of us are going to get. Thank you.
Many thanks for all your good work, VioleTAK. Not only were the vids top-quality, but your comments were very informative. I am also very glad that Klaz is inheriting your account. He is an asset to us all, indeed. Best wishes with the future...
wow at 19:10-19:30 it was just pure ownage. it was funny looking at the remaining lurkers running for their lives. the macro of both guys was just awesome. i just think july lacked a bit of micro on his defilers. especially during the very first clash where he didn't have any defilers at all. but it was a great play by both guys. thanks for posting this.
I knew of the greats like Boxer before first seeing your youtube account. However, since then... I think all these videos made me a better player. I've started seeing what real micros and macros look like, and... well... Yeah. These videos you've been posting have been helping my game more than anything. So... thanks, VioleTAK, and we'll miss you.
i wish he would teach unaccordingly and dedicate his manners toward equality and humility where he represented his mind as a symbol for our understanding of such potential we may contain inevitably while choosing our best to encircle what we hold dear in life as quickness and the beauty of intention, and how it may render us responsible, not once but every single second of opportunistic space. hail.
@TheTheo86 that makes it for any range attacks (aka most of all the terrans units) will be absorbed by it and do no damage to units under it. Only melee are able to hurt the units under that cloud.
Now THAT was StarCraft. Awesome match, awesome game to watch. Do you think that StarCraft 2 will be replacing StarCraft in Korea? I wouldn't expect it to have the epic balance when StarCraft 2 is released, but even StarCraft evolved from release to what it is.
i wish i could understand what he said at the end of this clip; i'm sure he was humble and defied against the existing arrogant part of the culture where he was raised in at such young age, and focused on the humility towards mankind with his simple words...
if your about to be killed (or defeated) in starcraft you pull all your minerals and build w/e you can to try and hold/kill the enemy, usually it doesn't work just prolonges the inevitable but this time it was diff.
There's a gamble with that and most of the time no they can't(it's not in view). The gamble is that it wouldn't show anything worthwhile and they would lose precious seconds of concentration. The smallest things can make huge differences in Pro Starcraft and what seems like a short amount of time to us is an eternity to them due to the speed at which they play.
@eppelpai you can make zerglings, defiler, lurkers and/or hydras and use the zerglings to attack buying you time to put the defilers plague (orange cloud) over your hydras and your lurkers... they will lose everything while the only things u will lose will be your zerglings unless they have melee units aka zealots or firebats
@Rebel4Life69 I dunno what makes you say that I'm a rank A, :\ Guardians are good, just cuz they're slow and expensive doesn't mean they're bad. They beat out any ground unit in hordes with proper micro.
most people only refer to races beng hard fom the apm needed. i disagree, because if u look, zerg players nearly outnumber terran AND protoss combined in korea. nw is it harder?
Yeah, problem there was that July decided not to invest on Scourges to take out Sci-Vessels. Hydras were good but not as effective as Scourges would've been.
It's actually quite simple. Quickly send all of the SCVs to one mineral, then click on one, quickly send it to another mineral, click on one, quickly send it to another mineral etc. Easy? That must be done while they run :)
yea your on to it, usually it fails but boxer is just good like that, one time i had the chance to meet him and see his tournament in japan =[ didn't work out tho
It's not so much the overall metagame that changed, it's just that boxer went for a different style (more mech heavy that is) that changed Julyzerg's playstyle by nessecity

Imagine a major alien invasion occurs soon.. would not you vote Boxer as our lead military head?
It feels a bit sad but happy at the same time. Thanks for all the SC vids as I've enjoyed watching them. Hail VioleTak XD.

good bye VioleTAK
your work was much appreciated. stay well!
Omg, i'm getting such goosebumps in those epic fights! 12:10
i wish he would teach unaccordingly and dedicate his manners toward equality and humility where he represented his mind as a symbol for our understanding of such potential we may contain inevitably while choosing our best to encircle what we hold dear in life as quickness and the beauty of intention, and how it may render us responsible, not once but every single second of opportunistic space. hail.
thanks VioleTAK and GL!
That's what I'm suspecting as well. It'll be interesting to see what will happen when the release comes.
Respect VioleTAK. Wish u best
The 1 minute cut is at 6:26 not 6:30 as VioleTAK says ;).
BYEE VioleTAK!!! Thanx for everything! You introduced me to the Starcraft community >.>.

Gracias VioleTAK!
i will missyou VTAK... you make a real "saturday starcraft fun special" to my family... i hope that all be fine in your life.
The music starting at 12:10 syns so well with the battle
Thank you so much.
His favorite tactic is the the drop/marines. Famous for it actually. I'm a zerg player and even I'm in awe at his skill with it.
@TheTheo86 that makes it for any range attacks (aka most of all the terrans units) will be absorbed by it and do no damage to units under it. Only melee are able to hurt the units under that cloud.
True. I think once all three games are out Korea will start putting their minds towards professionalizing it.
That's very sad news :( I hope you come back someday. Thank you very very much for your effort so far...
You'll be missed VioleTAK!
Love that siege tank sniping the damaged hatchery.
Please don't go!!!We love you.
that was the most epic starcraft match iv ever seen
"an active diversion requiring physical exertion and competition" is the definition tho
i wish i can play terran in a decent way. i have troubles with microing tanks, and esp vultures, when pushing out.
Truly the master of terrans!
boxer another legen from starcraft, he use the races taht i use, LONG LIVE TERRANS XP
Now THAT was StarCraft. Awesome match, awesome game to watch.
Do you think that StarCraft 2 will be replacing StarCraft in Korea? I wouldn't expect it to have the epic balance when StarCraft 2 is released, but even StarCraft evolved from release to what it is.
that was one of the bloodiest battles I've ever seen in SC.
Are there any good cable channels or online websites out there to watch these matches from the US aside from TH-cam?
thanks man :) gl to u!
The time boxer dropped on higher ground to attack JulyZerg's expansion why didn't he bring SCVs to support his tanks?
all depends on who you ask it can also mean equel to or same as
tell me please where a may get the file (.rep)
Thanks!
I love that Korean's respect the skill and strategy of SC as much as I do.
nooooooo dont leave us in the cold, dark world!
I didn't understand a word, but i certainly understand a epic battle!
@HunBela that comment is over a year old. it wasnt pointed directly to you
12:00 dat moment when you know the terran theme song comes on, shits gonna go down
out of curiosity whose been better between Julyzerg and Yellow vs Boxer?
What's with these clips containing the word "push"? What does it means it these titles?
what does the orange smoke do??
I've seen guys sweat like mad during a game, and all the hand movements required a lot of dexterity.
@diekontrolleure that can all be 1 hotkey if u want, just use tab to cycle
Epic match, My fav july vs Terran God Boxer.
i wish i could understand what he said at the end of this clip; i'm sure he was humble and defied against the existing arrogant part of the culture where he was raised in at such young age, and focused on the humility towards mankind with his simple words...
aren't they argue about who's ball is the biggest?
if your about to be killed (or defeated) in starcraft you pull all your minerals and build w/e you can to try and hold/kill the enemy, usually it doesn't work just prolonges the inevitable but this time it was diff.
Great match.
Why is he leaving? =(
ANyone know When BOXER will finish his army service? I hope will see boxer in SC2 and bring us more LEGENDARY stories.
There's a gamble with that and most of the time no they can't(it's not in view). The gamble is that it wouldn't show anything worthwhile and they would lose precious seconds of concentration. The smallest things can make huge differences in Pro Starcraft and what seems like a short amount of time to us is an eternity to them due to the speed at which they play.
good going dude
SWEET game.
what are you, 14? SC is a work of art
@eppelpai
you can make zerglings, defiler, lurkers and/or hydras and use the zerglings to attack buying you time to put the defilers plague (orange cloud) over your hydras and your lurkers... they will lose everything while the only things u will lose will be your zerglings unless they have melee units aka zealots or firebats
@Fireeyes91 bullshit.
so if its different its the hardest? maybe its the easyest?
i play random in the platinum league and i consider zerg as the hardest race to play and its a lot of fun to play and watch
17:17 epic explosion
well violetak its been fun.
@Rebel4Life69 I dunno what makes you say that I'm a rank A, :\
Guardians are good, just cuz they're slow and expensive doesn't mean they're bad. They beat out any ground unit in hordes with proper micro.
So happy Boxer won. Good guy, Good game!
Firebathero uses BCs TVZ sometimes.
BaeZii has been uploading rather promptly for a long time now. He has taken over the jon747 acount.
most people only refer to races beng hard fom the apm needed. i disagree, because if u look, zerg players nearly outnumber terran AND protoss combined in korea. nw is it harder?
17:21, lone marine took out a ling and hydra, i give him props
Crazy how the metagame has changed. I kept thinking, where are the scourge? Or zerglings for that matter...
@Undeadtaro I usually use Scourges to counter any aerial unit Scourge + Guardian + Zergling rush are beast IMO.
Thanks a lot VioleTAK gl!! XD
it takes exactly 0.07 seconds for Boxer to take a piss and get back to his computer. And kill 3 enemy lurkers using 1 marine
Yes he is actualy.
yea your on to it, usually it fails but boxer is just good like that, one time i had the chance to meet him and see his tournament in japan =[ didn't work out tho
It's not so much the overall metagame that changed, it's just that boxer went for a different style (more mech heavy that is) that changed Julyzerg's playstyle by nessecity
@diekontrolleure so then you play zerg, dontcha? and yes, the hardest thing in sc2 is keeping track of production. you in bronze?
