I thought I'd add something here in English, as I read a lot of Japanese comments and their theories. This is gonna put them all together. First, the Japanese fans seem to strongly support the theory that this is a story about a post-nuclear-war city, where the radiation from the bombs left aftereffects on the orange haired boy. The blue haired girl represents a world where nuclear war was avoided, and thus why the scenery is the same but not demolished. The world of the blue haired girl is all in the orange haired boy's head, a fictional world called "the Underground". This makes sense, because the world seems to be underwater. Water is a symbol of purification or cleansing, it would make sense that a world free of nuclear war and it's aftereffects to be underwater. The aftereffects that the boy is left with (in the real world) is cancer, and there is reason to believe this. The text messages that the girl receives says "Hang in there" and "this is for your own good". People speculate that this is the boy going through different treatments, and it is leaving him in an unstable mental state, thus all the monsters in the ruined city. This is further supported by some of the lyrics, like "and once again, the night slipped away", "I cant even do simple things" or "there is no place for me to escape to", because he cannot escape from the disease, and is simply watching his life slip by. A lot of the lyrics fit in with this theme if applied, because a lot of lyrics says things that imply that time is short, like "this is the final chapter" and "there is no rerun". They also said that the mob of protesters and the cityscape can be explained through the general theme of war. There was a scene where both the boy and the girl were pressed with choosing an answer, with the girl choosing to accept what seemed like an internet invitation to enter a website, and the boy choosing a path, and after shows a rapidly changing image of a Yes/No button and a few checkmarks that say "permission granted, permission not granted, granted, not granted" I believe that these are signs of social unrest and protest, and the child feeling the tension building in the world. The scene with the large monster and both the boy and girl running away showed planes and bombs being dropped in the background, with the monster representing how this whole thing came to be for the boy. While it may be off, the blinding scene over the ruined city towards the end looks like the sun setting/rising but may be a nuke going off in the heart of the city. UND UND R R EGO Honestly I dont know what this means, UND means and in german, and R R is a term for radioactivity in Japan. EGO is, well, ego. And last, why the Japanese people argue for the nuclear war theory. Many people are confused as to why the boy throws up at the very end, and the Japanese audience speculates that his cancer reached a terminal stage (reaching to his lungs) and caused him to throw up (possibly blood). The MV started when the boy was clearly much younger, and the world that he created (The world with the blue haired girl, which he dubbed "the Underground") ends when he realized his life was coming to an end and that he can no longer continue to live in either of the worlds. This explains the boy's head exploding in that one trippy scene, because he can no longer go to "Underground" after he has passed away. The blue haired girl is similar, except since she was a fictional character she deteriorates instead of exploding. In his head, the end of "Underground" is also represented by the event that is about to end his life, which is the nuke/war that brought the radiation, and eventually his cancer. The rapidly flashing images are obviously highlights of the MV, but people argue that that is supposed to represent a flashback of all his life, both in the real world and "Underground". Obviously, this is just a theory, but it made a lot of sense to me, so I thought I would share it. To the Japanese people, the nukes are a touchy subject, but many people believe that it is not right to simply try to forget by remaining silent. Instead, they want to make sure that such a thing never happens again, and maybe this was EVE's way to try to bring dialogue to the table, or so the Japanese people speculate. The title of the song actually has a hidden meaning: 'Underground', when taken in a figurative sense, can imply the feeling of one being buried or trapped with no way of escape, which evokes emotions of distress and panic. 'Still' on the other hand is diction that implies continuation, in the sense that an event is happening constantly. The implication of this is that whatever the situation is happens to be endless and repeating, almost like a loop. So basically Eve's animators are stuck in an endless cycle of work and they ain't getting outta that shit anytime soon.
It all makes sense now this song was made by the animators that Eve has trapped underground in his basement and this whole animation sequence is a fever dream🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
青髪の子と赤髪の子は、途中まで明らかに別の世界線を生きていたはずなのに。もしかしたら、核戦争を境に、青髪の子が過去、赤髪の子は未来を表現しているのかな。青髪の子(青ちゃん)のいる世界では途中まできちんと現代の都会の街が描かれていた。そして、歌のラストのサビ辺りで街が赤く染まって壊れ始めているように見えた。このことから、青ちゃんは核が落ちる前を生きていた。2:54辺りの青ちゃんの驚いている表情は、核が堕ちてきているのを見てしまったんじゃないかな。その後青ちゃんが出てくるカットの街は崩壊してる。多分、核爆弾の衝撃で、3:30のように、溶けるようになくなってしまったのかもしれない。どのタイミングだったにせよ、青ちゃんは核に直接的な影響を受けてなくなってしまったのではないでしょうか。 赤髪の子(赤ちゃん)は核戦争のあとの世界に生きている。赤ちゃんのいる町は最初から、少し壊れているような描写で、植物が建物を覆ってしまってる。人間が生活していると、故意でない限りほとんど建物が植物に覆われることなんてない。そういうお家も素敵だけど。多分核戦争が起きてからけっこうな時間が経っているんだと思う。そして、謎の生物や、謎人間？的な人型のバケモノがいっぱいいたけど、それは核の後遺症を現しているのかな。赤ちゃんの街ではピンクの鳥の群れが住んでいて、赤ちゃんが住んでいるのが日本だとしても、水かきを持ったピンクの鳥は生息していないはず。カラフルな爬虫類や、フラミンゴの群れから、日本がアフリカや、熱帯地域のレベルの気候になってしまったのではないでしょうか。これも核の影響を暗示しているのですかね。最後のカットで赤ちゃんが吐血しているのも、核の影響のように思えます。 クライマックスで2人は同じ街(多分もともと青ちゃんの住んでいた街)にいます。赤ちゃんは、青ちゃんを助けたかったのでしょうか。走る2人の眼下で、黒い生き物のような雲が広がっていきます。核が落とされた瞬間でしょうか。戦闘機も見えますね。 最後のUNDERGROUNDのロゴが出た時。 まず、UND UND 次に R R 最後に EG O やっぱり、エゴイズムってことを言いたかったんでしょうかね。 長文失礼しました。ご指摘よろしくお願いします😌 0:55当たり、ゾンビのポスターがありますね。ゾンビは核で汚染されたり、爆発によってまるでゾンビのような姿になってしまったの人でしょうか。ポスターはzombieの、1部が頭で隠れていて、zoneにも読めなくもないですかね？zoneは原発事故が起こったチェルノブイリで現在も立ち入り規制されている場所のことでしょうか？ 深いですね🧐

I thought I’d give my basic analysis of this mv, as It is the strongest supporter of my case so far that the universes of all previous characters are connected. Almost all of the characters from past eve MVs are present in this video, took me a few times to find them all but I’ll show you here. 0:34 First is the small creature first featured in outsider then in last dance on the poster to the right of the character. 0:38 the posters below the wall show the main character from dramaturgy wearing the mask and next to him seems to be the main character from nonsense literature. 0:48 the main character is receiving a text from the omnipresent one eyed character in dramaturgy, nonsense literature and last dance, this in itself is a major point in the overarching story and needs to be analysed further. 1:50 I’m not quite sure what the posters are saying but it could link to the theme of wearing masks that has been present throughout a lot of eve’s mvs 2:28 features the main character from the “Ambivalent” Mv on the billboard 2:30 in the crowd of what looks like protesters we can see the gloved figure from “as you like it” 3:04 not sure what the implication of this shot is but you can see song titles and albums of eve in the glowing signs 3:16 are two massive posters straight up referring to Tokyo ghetto and last dance. 4:06 and lastly, I think this is the most important connection to all of the MVs so far. I can’t be the only one that thinks that massive hulking monster is the same one as the monster from Tokyo ghetto. I think that the omnipresent “one eye” character represents the internal struggles of these characters from all of eve’s MVS whether it is the self doubt of “as you like it” or the insanity of “nonsense literature” to the depression of “Tokyo ghetto” and the anxiety of identity in “dramaturgy”. And we have seen before that he can “turn people” or implant them with these monstrosities, take the scene from nonsense literature where he pulls out the characters innards and replaces them with other objects, followed by the main character morphing into a monster. And one final point is it seems that the final shot of this video suggests that from the start he has had that monster inside him, and that text from one eye could have been a warning, so the main character then wanted to try to save the girl he loved. Just my take though it really frustrates me because I know there is an overarching story to all of eve’s MVs but I can’t completely crack it. One day I’ll sit down and write a proper analytical essay on it. I invite you to continue discussing this :)

I found something. If you look at 2:22 and pause on each frame, there’s a few important images. The boy is faced with two options, yes or no. He can only pick one. If we take a look at 2:27. Right after they clap, a few images flash by super quick, so please pause the video and look at them. The first image appears to be a option on the phone, yes or no. The second image is more important, it's very similar to the sheets of a voting paper is it not? The kanji for Allowance and Disallowance is written on the paper "許可 and 不許可" Usually you'd use a pen to tick off the boxes to fill in a vote, presumably to some government decision regarding the war that is happening in the video. The third image is more images related to the vote, but I don't understand the picture of the astronaut they've got there (Ambivalent?) It could be related to other eve characters since the lyrics make a lot of references to other songs (Specifically Dramaturgy and As you like it), I'm going to guess this song takes place sometime after the events of these two songs. The fourth image is a definite sign of a very big protest, I don't understand the Japanese so we will move on. The screen starts moving again, this time with the crowd as monsters and holding up multiple signs disagreeing to continue with the war (If you look at the top left, there is a sign saying "War is Over" and this implies the orange boy is indeed in the future) It may be possible that the two main characters happen to be one of the two outcomes that the situation can come out of. The blue haired girl died as a human, while the orange haired boy lost his human body and took on what looks like a stuffed toy. The video is obviously about nuclear weapons and protests against war (look at the pink birds for example, they later turn into kamikaze planes) I’m guessing the orange haired boy was the outcome at the ending but the results of the radioactivity probably made him sick and cough out blood. The reason as to how the boy survived could be because of an emergency bunker at about 1:43. Hence why, the main character is still underground. Maybe he can’t go ‘overground’ since it’s all radiation. Not to mention even at the beginning of the video, the white shirts in front of his house could symbolize all the people who have died. Yes I shortened the comment, it’s just that now only the important points are mentioned. Thank you for reading

Oloroso Mary I imagined the scene where the boy and girl tries to run away from the bomb seemed more like a fleeting dream/hope rather than what really happened. As the girl has already ‘died’ in the screen before. Right after the whole video rewinds back to the beginning, the boy coughs out blood and it abruptly stops. Another theory I had, was that it was a metaphor for his terminal illness, like an atomic bomb his body is getting worse and worse until his organs stopped functioning. Coughing out blood usually indicates a severe stage of a disease.

I just went to a shop named MINISO , and I was just casually using the pens on the testing paper, drawing etc. I noticed someone wrote "STAN EVE" and " WE'RE STILL UNDERGROUND". Hell yes.
This video is so extremely awesome, mindblowing and sickening. You can just pause the video at nearly every frame and it's a wallpaper worthy masterpiece and this video is 5:02 minutes long worth of masterpieces. At the same time for someone like me, I need nearly a whole day for one not nearly as amazing piece of art, which means either the one making this video is a total god or I'm a total piece of shit. But as bad as I feel, I will buy this album. As some had said, a team worked on this, but not only that, animation takes times. All art does. No one slaps together high quality work. Don't worry of you take a long time to get a piece to look the way you want it, and if you're insecure about your own skill, remember that even the artists you admire have those same thoughts time to time. Just keep at your craft. You'll see one day how far you've come, and learn to love your art.

I thought I'd add something here in English, as I read a lot of Japanese comments and their theories. This is gonna put them all together.
First, the Japanese fans seem to strongly support the theory that this is a story about a post-nuclear-war city, where the radiation from the bombs left aftereffects on the orange haired boy. The blue haired girl represents a world where nuclear war was avoided, and thus why the scenery is the same but not demolished. The world of the blue haired girl is all in the orange haired boy's head, a fictional world called "the Underground". This makes sense, because the world seems to be underwater. Water is a symbol of purification or cleansing, it would make sense that a world free of nuclear war and it's aftereffects to be underwater.
The aftereffects that the boy is left with (in the real world) is cancer, and there is reason to believe this. The text messages that the girl receives says "Hang in there" and "this is for your own good". People speculate that this is the boy going through different treatments, and it is leaving him in an unstable mental state, thus all the monsters in the ruined city.
This is further supported by some of the lyrics, like "and once again, the night slipped away", "I cant even do simple things" or "there is no place for me to escape to", because he cannot escape from the disease, and is simply watching his life slip by. A lot of the lyrics fit in with this theme if applied, because a lot of lyrics says things that imply that time is short, like "this is the final chapter" and "there is no rerun".
They also said that the mob of protesters and the cityscape can be explained through the general theme of war.
There was a scene where both the boy and the girl were pressed with choosing an answer, with the girl choosing to accept what seemed like an internet invitation to enter a website, and the boy choosing a path, and after shows a rapidly changing image of a Yes/No button and a few checkmarks that say "permission granted, permission not granted, granted, not granted" I believe that these are signs of social unrest and protest, and the child feeling the tension building in the world.
The scene with the large monster and both the boy and girl running away showed planes and bombs being dropped in the background, with the monster representing how this whole thing came to be for the boy. While it may be off, the blinding scene over the ruined city towards the end looks like the sun setting/rising but may be a nuke going off in the heart of the city.

Honestly I dont know what this means, UND means and in german, and R R is a term for radioactivity in Japan. EGO is, well, ego.
And last, why the Japanese people argue for the nuclear war theory. Many people are confused as to why the boy throws up at the very end, and the Japanese audience speculates that his cancer reached a terminal stage (reaching to his lungs) and caused him to throw up (possibly blood). The MV started when the boy was clearly much younger, and the world that he created (The world with the blue haired girl, which he dubbed "the Underground") ends when he realized his life was coming to an end and that he can no longer continue to live in either of the worlds. This explains the boy's head exploding in that one trippy scene, because he can no longer go to "Underground" after he has passed away. The blue haired girl is similar, except since she was a fictional character she deteriorates instead of exploding. In his head, the end of "Underground" is also represented by the event that is about to end his life, which is the nuke/war that brought the radiation, and eventually his cancer. The rapidly flashing images are obviously highlights of the MV, but people argue that that is supposed to represent a flashback of all his life, both in the real world and "Underground".
Obviously, this is just a theory, but it made a lot of sense to me, so I thought I would share it.
To the Japanese people, the nukes are a touchy subject, but many people believe that it is not right to simply try to forget by remaining silent. Instead, they want to make sure that such a thing never happens again, and maybe this was EVE's way to try to bring dialogue to the table, or so the Japanese people speculate.
One thing is for sure, EVE is a god damn musical genius.

How I want to read Japanese now.
The title of the song actually has a hidden meaning:
'Underground', when taken in a figurative sense, can imply the feeling of one being buried or trapped with no way of escape, which evokes emotions of distress and panic.
'Still' on the other hand is diction that implies continuation, in the sense that an event is happening constantly. The implication of this is that whatever the situation is happens to be endless and repeating, almost like a loop.
So basically Eve's animators are stuck in an endless cycle of work and they ain't getting outta that shit anytime soon.

青髪の子と赤髪の子は、途中まで明らかに別の世界線を生きていたはずなのに。もしかしたら、核戦争を境に、青髪の子が過去、赤髪の子は未来を表現しているのかな。青髪の子(青ちゃん)のいる世界では途中まできちんと現代の都会の街が描かれていた。そして、歌のラストのサビ辺りで街が赤く染まって壊れ始めているように見えた。このことから、青ちゃんは核が落ちる前を生きていた。2:54辺りの青ちゃんの驚いている表情は、核が堕ちてきているのを見てしまったんじゃないかな。その後青ちゃんが出てくるカットの街は崩壊してる。多分、核爆弾の衝撃で、3:30のように、溶けるようになくなってしまったのかもしれない。どのタイミングだったにせよ、青ちゃんは核に直接的な影響を受けてなくなってしまったのではないでしょうか。
赤髪の子(赤ちゃん)は核戦争のあとの世界に生きている。赤ちゃんのいる町は最初から、少し壊れているような描写で、植物が建物を覆ってしまってる。人間が生活していると、故意でない限りほとんど建物が植物に覆われることなんてない。そういうお家も素敵だけど。多分核戦争が起きてからけっこうな時間が経っているんだと思う。そして、謎の生物や、謎人間？的な人型のバケモノがいっぱいいたけど、それは核の後遺症を現しているのかな。赤ちゃんの街ではピンクの鳥の群れが住んでいて、赤ちゃんが住んでいるのが日本だとしても、水かきを持ったピンクの鳥は生息していないはず。カラフルな爬虫類や、フラミンゴの群れから、日本がアフリカや、熱帯地域のレベルの気候になってしまったのではないでしょうか。これも核の影響を暗示しているのですかね。最後のカットで赤ちゃんが吐血しているのも、核の影響のように思えます。
クライマックスで2人は同じ街(多分もともと青ちゃんの住んでいた街)にいます。赤ちゃんは、青ちゃんを助けたかったのでしょうか。走る2人の眼下で、黒い生き物のような雲が広がっていきます。核が落とされた瞬間でしょうか。戦闘機も見えますね。

追記です。最後のUNDERGROUNDが気になったので調べたところ、UNDはドイツ語で、「と」という意味。Rがよく分からなかったので、とりあえず元素記号から探しました。Rがつく元素はラジウム、ラドン、レントゲニウムなど、他にもありますがだいたい有名なのはこれらです。ラジウムにはウランと同じ系列に含まれ、同位体の中には発癌性を持ったものがありました。ラドンは研究機関により、浴びることによってかかる病気がありました。レントゲニウムはレントゲンの元ですが、レントゲンは安全な値ではあっても僅かに被爆するものです。やはりRはそういった、放射能や放射線的な何かを表しているのでしょうか。

I thought I’d give my basic analysis of this mv, as It is the strongest supporter of my case so far that the universes of all previous characters are connected. Almost all of the characters from past eve MVs are present in this video, took me a few times to find them all but I’ll show you here.
0:34 First is the small creature first featured in outsider then in last dance on the poster to the right of the character.
0:38 the posters below the wall show the main character from dramaturgy wearing the mask and next to him seems to be the main character from nonsense literature.
0:48 the main character is receiving a text from the omnipresent one eyed character in dramaturgy, nonsense literature and last dance, this in itself is a major point in the overarching story and needs to be analysed further.
1:50 I’m not quite sure what the posters are saying but it could link to the theme of wearing masks that has been present throughout a lot of eve’s mvs
2:28 features the main character from the “Ambivalent” Mv on the billboard
2:30 in the crowd of what looks like protesters we can see the gloved figure from “as you like it”
3:04 not sure what the implication of this shot is but you can see song titles and albums of eve in the glowing signs
3:16 are two massive posters straight up referring to Tokyo ghetto and last dance.
4:06 and lastly, I think this is the most important connection to all of the MVs so far. I can’t be the only one that thinks that massive hulking monster is the same one as the monster from Tokyo ghetto. I think that the omnipresent “one eye” character represents the internal struggles of these characters from all of eve’s MVS whether it is the self doubt of “as you like it” or the insanity of “nonsense literature” to the depression of “Tokyo ghetto” and the anxiety of identity in “dramaturgy”. And we have seen before that he can “turn people” or implant them with these monstrosities, take the scene from nonsense literature where he pulls out the characters innards and replaces them with other objects, followed by the main character morphing into a monster.
And one final point is it seems that the final shot of this video suggests that from the start he has had that monster inside him, and that text from one eye could have been a warning, so the main character then wanted to try to save the girl he loved.
Just my take though it really frustrates me because I know there is an overarching story to all of eve’s MVs but I can’t completely crack it. One day I’ll sit down and write a proper analytical essay on it. I invite you to continue discussing this :)

大変身勝手な感覚を吐露させてもらうと、ガチガチに設定組まれていてストーリーもキャラクターも配置が完璧な背景を持っている映像作品よりも、世界観とキャラクターだけをポンッと置いてそこに音楽がただ流れ『この素材であなただけの世界を作ってくださいまし』と言われてるような曖昧模糊で抽象的な自由帳の落書きのような表現作品がとても好き。
I found something. If you look at 2:22 and pause on each frame, there’s a few important images. The boy is faced with two options, yes or no. He can only pick one. If we take a look at 2:27. Right after they clap, a few images flash by super quick, so please pause the video and look at them. The first image appears to be a option on the phone, yes or no. The second image is more important, it's very similar to the sheets of a voting paper is it not? The kanji for Allowance and Disallowance is written on the paper "許可 and 不許可" Usually you'd use a pen to tick off the boxes to fill in a vote, presumably to some government decision regarding the war that is happening in the video. The third image is more images related to the vote, but I don't understand the picture of the astronaut they've got there (Ambivalent?) It could be related to other eve characters since the lyrics make a lot of references to other songs (Specifically Dramaturgy and As you like it), I'm going to guess this song takes place sometime after the events of these two songs. The fourth image is a definite sign of a very big protest, I don't understand the Japanese so we will move on. The screen starts moving again, this time with the crowd as monsters and holding up multiple signs disagreeing to continue with the war (If you look at the top left, there is a sign saying "War is Over" and this implies the orange boy is indeed in the future)
It may be possible that the two main characters happen to be one of the two outcomes that the situation can come out of. The blue haired girl died as a human, while the orange haired boy lost his human body and took on what looks like a stuffed toy. The video is obviously about nuclear weapons and protests against war (look at the pink birds for example, they later turn into kamikaze planes) I’m guessing the orange haired boy was the outcome at the ending but the results of the radioactivity probably made him sick and cough out blood. The reason as to how the boy survived could be because of an emergency bunker at about 1:43. Hence why, the main character is still underground. Maybe he can’t go ‘overground’ since it’s all radiation. Not to mention even at the beginning of the video, the white shirts in front of his house could symbolize all the people who have died.

Oloroso Mary I imagined the scene where the boy and girl tries to run away from the bomb seemed more like a fleeting dream/hope rather than what really happened. As the girl has already ‘died’ in the screen before. Right after the whole video rewinds back to the beginning, the boy coughs out blood and it abruptly stops. Another theory I had, was that it was a metaphor for his terminal illness, like an atomic bomb his body is getting worse and worse until his organs stopped functioning. Coughing out blood usually indicates a severe stage of a disease.

0:15 で出てくるバケモノは、戦争を経験し今を生きている人。最初の下へスクロールしてくのは、段々過去へ遡っている様。赤髪の子は過去に戦争で亡くなった子(これは後ほど説明)青髪の子は現代的な風景に映っていて、生きていた子(過去形)
0:23 や 1:33 などにちょくちょく鶴が出てくるのが分かる。これは復興の千羽鶴を表しているように見えなくもない。
2:01 と2:05 は進んでいく方向が違う。赤髪の子は死の世界へ行くため、青髪の子は未来に進むため。1人だけ乗っているのも自立していくためではないだろうか。
2:22 ｢YES or NO｣ は生きるのを辞めるか辞めないかの決断。2:30 ｢反対(NO)｣などの看板が多く見られたが、次の映像で自分の人生を自由に描いていったと読み取れる。絵に書いている(これから残るもの)として未来の人達に受け継がれて歴史として残るだろう。←(戦争の話)しかし赤髪の子は生きる決断すらできずに 3:14 は自由を奪われ生きられなかったことを表現している。

This video is so extremely awesome, mindblowing and sickening.
You can just pause the video at nearly every frame and it's a wallpaper worthy masterpiece and this video is 5:02 minutes long worth of masterpieces.
At the same time for someone like me, I need nearly a whole day for one not nearly as amazing piece of art, which means either the one making this video is a total god or I'm a total piece of shit.
But as bad as I feel, I will buy this album.
Every single video of yours was a journey for me and inspired and motivated me for months and I'm sure, they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

As some had said, a team worked on this, but not only that, animation takes times. All art does. No one slaps together high quality work.
Don't worry of you take a long time to get a piece to look the way you want it, and if you're insecure about your own skill, remember that even the artists you admire have those same thoughts time to time. Just keep at your craft. You'll see one day how far you've come, and learn to love your art.

@@remedy5811 I was rewidning the video so fast I didn't notice the credits at first, I was just so mindblown sitting in front of my computer and starting it a new because I couldn't take everything in the first time.
Now I've seen the credits and I don't even know what to think now, how do so many awesome people get together and decide "yep now we're going to do something awesome" like are they having a cold one in a bar together?
All this is just so fascinating to me
