John S. K. Kauwe III, the eleventh president of Brigham Young University-Hawaii, took office in July 2020, supported by his wife, Monica S. Mortensen, and their five children. With a rich background as a BYU professor, department chair, and dean, President Kauwe is also a renowned scientist with significant contributions to Alzheimer's disease research, holding over 120 peer-reviewed papers and several patents.
Alongside his academic and administrative duties, Kauwe serves as an Area Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, reflecting his deep commitment to faith and leadership. His and Monica's dedication to family and faith deeply influence their leadership, making them a source of inspiration at BYU-Hawaii.

This talk was so good. Thank you for taking time to talk about this. Too many of my friends have been sexually assaulted at BYU-Hawaii because the boys they dated claimed that they did not understand what consent was or wasn't. The lack of education on this subject is dangerous and heartbreaking. I hope that this is just a beginning of what is being done to make students safer. Thank you for having the courage to address this no matter how briefly.

Heard this especially with the island guys from other countries. Didn't understand the boundaries that exist in this country

A Sister Oaks é muito linda também com o Elder/sister Oaks.
Eu guardei uma frase que o elder Dieter Uchtdorf falou no final do discurso As tres irmãs e ponderei como fazê-lá por muito tempo. Ele fala que são as escolhas mais do que as suas habilidades que determinarão seu futuro. E eu precisei de mais tempo e estudo para compreender. O presidente Nelson também falou sobre as escolhas agora determinarão onde, com quem viveremos a eternidade.
Pude ouvir o discurso do meu amado elder Dieter Uchtdorf novamente hoje e ele se encaixou perfeitamente como uma peça de um quebra cabeça inspirado pelo Espírito. Ele fala em ser paciente com o próprio tempo de aprendizagem. E eu fiz aniversário de Templo esse mês, eu não saberia se não estivesse lá.. Muito obrigado eu o amo de verdade.
Meus estudos serão mais significativos com as escolhas . ❤
