Hey mate, they can be a bit tricky unweighted - 8 foot rod and light line helps - the pre-rigged ones are about 35 grams if I remember right, but because of the shape and size they can catch the wind a bit if it's not behind you - worth a shot though, fish can't resist them!
Mate what is the best lure for them?Saw so many of them following my Taylor but they won’t take any bait/lure,Any tips on what lure and how to work them.(don’t have the gear to throw sluggos and poppers)
Hey mate, yeah quite a few - but just making the most of Summer right now and smashing the slug-go. Once the bite slows down I'll break out some other gear.
Good questions, In this clip I was using a 9" pre-rigged, and just from personal experience - they seem to have a more stable action, it could also just be that I'm not that great at rigging them myself. I like the idea of an extra hook, and sometimes I get a fish on that rear hook that I'd have otherwise missed, and I like not needing to re-rig if I lose one, I can just tie a new one on and I'm fishing again. In saying that, I have caught fish on self-rigged 9" and 6" - so maybe the fish don't care about it as much as I think they do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks mate, hope it helps.
nice fish bro

Mate that’s a fair peddle from there to there. Love to chase them there on slow pitch jigs too. Would it be worth a session ya think?
Yeah the paddle is a grind, had some luck using slow jigs out there so def worth a shot mate!
These sluggos are so effective, man! Makes me wonder if i should try them landbased. Do they cast well unweighted?

If they're fussy throw a sugapen mate, when they're being picky the smaller the lure the better!
Nice...what plastic and size hook did you use
Thanks, it's a 9" Pre-Rigged Slug-Go
Nice work. Have you been using any other type of lures?
Hey mate, yeah quite a few - but just making the most of Summer right now and smashing the slug-go. Once the bite slows down I'll break out some other gear.
Hey mate what size lure is it and is it the pre rigged one do the pre rigged ones have more or less Action then your own rigged one
