    How do they taste mate?

      Can be a bit bloody if you don't bleed them quickly, but not bad if you batter & fry them!

      Decent! Would definitely bring them home again, crumbed-tuna-taco's were a hit at home, just gotta avoid that blood line.

    Is 7 foot 1 rod long enough for shore jigging in the harbor mate?I am looking at Shimano Dailuna 7ft1 and the cast weight is 8-45g and I am gonna put 20lb braid on it

    • @chuckingmetalfishing485
      @chuckingmetalfishing485  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm definitely not qualified to answer shore jigging questions hahahaha, but the first rod I ever shore jigged with was 6'4" 😊

    Hey mate how do you work metal lures like halo twisty and gillies baitfish for bonito Taylor Mac tuna and possibly king?Do you retrieve it top water or hop it on the bottom?

    • @chuckingmetalfishing485
      @chuckingmetalfishing485  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A bit of both mate, usually just rip it in with a little twitch. Sometimes let it touch the bottom first, sometimes skip it on the top - try it all to see if you can get a strike!

    Noice mate, what size twisty? And what happened to the pinster?

    • @chuckingmetalfishing485
      @chuckingmetalfishing485  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers mate, 15g Twisty - I busted an eyelet on the Pinster then broke it even more replacing it 😨 fixable, but such a light rod that it'll never be the same.

      @@chuckingmetalfishing485 yeah once they’re damaged it’s game over. I’ve never repaired a rod, just never had confidence in my attempts. Cheers re twisty. I’ve got some of the super small ones 3.5 and 5g for next summer when they’re feeding on tiny bait.
