    Shiny Solder Balls! 😉
    I think You shuld put some uv mask on the other board on the same pin, just to minimize the chance of an unwanted connection.
    I’d put them boards in the UC before soldering them togerher. There were so much junk on this board, and the UC would get rid of all the tiny left over from the paste.
    I really enjoyed this long vid!
    Keep em coming!

      Ah, that's a good idea!
      I wish i had my USC ready to go, but it takes so much time to setup 😂
      Thanks for watching!

    at the 37:30 mark. how do you not have a short while having the boards apart?

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the short is on the bottom board.

    I watched this in the background while working on an 11 board, short on VDD Main under the shield on top board, took a while to find it

    When reballing the bottom board I ussualy apply the paste and then remove the stencil. My Quian Li is universal for 11/pro/max and it does not hold when heating. Then I put the board on heater - works great

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to use that method before with a Mijing stencil but it wasn't always consistent
      I find this Qianli reballing jig gives more consistent results

  • @eswagyy
    @eswagyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Had same thing happen with me. Worked in jig but not after reball. I was kinda in the same boat cause the UBIF near me deep fried the board 😂

    Nice work, have you got low temperature solder paste? May help with liquefy paste without too temp stressing board.

    I saw a video on facebook recently where they put a screw partially into one of the screw posts and then they used that screw as a lift point when separating the sandwich. Have you ever used that technique? Any thoughts?

  • @xlwirelesselectronicrepair
    @xlwirelesselectronicrepair 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    At the end all it needs some weight on top of the board to make a better connection...
    But thanks for the long video awesome work. I don't spend more the 1 hour on each device. 😇 but keep them coming.

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After i reball, i don't like to put pressure. Had many cases where the solder balls squeeze out & short things out.
      Off camera, I tried other things to get it working but no luck. So probably a bottom board issue.
