Mick Merrigan Tribute- Leinster Trophy Mondello Park 2023

Mondello Park remembered motorsport stalwart Mick Merrigan at the 2023 Leinster Trophy race meeting with a poignant minute silence ahead of the big race on Sunday. This was especially fitting with Formula Vee getting the nod from the Leinster Motor Club to race for the famous trophy, Mick having been the first ever Formula Vee Champion almost 40 years ago. Mick’s friends and family were invited to the venue for the race meeting and enjoyed corporate hospitality before being ushered to the grid ahead of the big race. Mick, a former racer, team owner, mentor, supporter and much much more was fondly remembered in the tribute, led by circuit commentator Leo Nulty.
