@ 4:15 Dave talks about everyone getting out of his way so he can take a free ball if he’s under it and I’d never noticed this before but at the beginning of the 1st set against France, Dave and Taylor are both under the free ball and Dave calls Taylor off and Taylor gets out of the way. Super interesting and something I definitely wouldn’t have noticed without this video

Was cheering so much for your team, even though I'm Singaporean LOL. You guys were up against Russia and Brazil in Pool B, and I was totally surprised by how well Argentina played that day, totally thought you guys had it in your pocket for that match. It wasn't a very favorable situation when France defeated ROC (another BIG SHOCKER), it would be so much better to be in Pool A actually LOL. I really believe that you guys deserved the spot at the quarterfinals. Excited to see your team's comeback in Paris! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING, KEEP UP THE AMAZINGGGGG WORK! LOVE YOU GUYS 3000

I love that he doesn't let hearing loss stop him from giving his best every time out on the court. Just a small example: I watched a match where one of his hearing aides fell out in the middle of the play and he just popped it into his mouth and kept playing. Zaksa's road to the finals wasn't easy but was a such joy to watch. And lol - David not being able to find anyone to celebrate with because they all collasped on the ground 😂

Smith is my favorite middle blocker from the US. For some reason, I prefer him to Holt or Lee and the other blockers on the team, though the other ones are said to be monsters on the court. Probably his overall performance from serving to striking impresses me so much.

When Erik has no pens, he has to improvise. My step-son has almost full hearing loss in one ear due to an illness as a baby. He went on to become a top soccer goalie for one of Penn State's satellite campuses and is a top-notch student in a really tough major. Super proud of him.
Zaksa's other middle blocker (Kochanowski, is it?) is even shorter than Dave. I think he's not even reached 200cm. The Champions League Final was fascinating to watch. I had actually expected Trento to eat Zaksa alive. Sorry, Dave! 😁

"In system" means a play that starts with a decent to good receive and where the setter gets to set the ball, "out of system" it's the contrary, mostly when the setter doesn't get to set the ball because the receive was off or something happened to the setter that doesn't let him set correctly. I hope i helped you, sorry if i didn't explain it well, my English it's pretty rough yet.
In system and out of system basically describes how well the setter can run their offense based of the quality of the serve receive or dig. Let’s say in serve receive, someone gets a perfect pass, that is considered “in system” because the setter is now able to set the ball to any of his hitters or options. “Out of system” is a pass or dig that is off target and forces the setter to move to the ball, which often limits their ability to set to every hitter.

I don’t think the official vert numbers are always accurate. For example some of the Trentino players did a spike reach test and almost all of them were higher than their official numbers.
