About the "probably don't buy specific games" thing around 3:19, I've found there's a notable exception. If the giftee is a PC gamer (including handheld PCs like the Steam Deck), their Steam wishlist is probably full of games they're interested in but didn't buy because they were "just waiting for a sale" and then probably forgot about them. Those games make excellent gifts most of the time, especially if you can get them during one of the four big seasonal sales (though unfortunately it's a little late for that at this point). I think you *will* need to have a Steam account, yourself, in order to buy things for someone else, but it's probably worth it, and you can schedule the digital 'delivery' to happen on Christmas day. Or if you don't want to make an account, just buy them a Steam giftcard and they'll probably go through their own list during the Winter sale for extra savings.
I find that steam wish list gift games - both ones I gifted and ones I was gifted - by and large don't get played. I know I have at least a dozen games on my wish list that I'm generally interested in but wouldn't want to actually own and play, and we all know how most people on steam have years worth of backlogs. I wouldn't gift steam games unless I knew that person hasn't been on steam for a long time - maybe got started with a steam deck in recent years - or I know they actually keep an up-to-date wish list and like getting new games. I stick to recent releases I know they are interested in currently otherwise. Just my .2
@@Nostradankus Seems we have different experiences. I guess I have a lot of relatively broke friends, who put things on their wishlists because they can't afford full price. That's me, too. A game's gotta be basically *perfect* for me to spend $30, and any more than that is a total no-go, so newer releases often sit on my wishlist for a year or two until they're finally cheap enough to be reasonable (or I forget about them, lol). My sister is another example: she wasn't a PC gamer *at all* until she got a Steam Deck (which quickly became her favorite system), and is perpetually too broke to buy the games she wants, so 90% of her wishlist is stuff she's actually wishing for. Buying Steam games for either of us during a big sale is an easy win. ^-^
It doesn’t even have to be for Christmas either. Buying someone a steam deck or laptop is crazy to me but I can see it happening if a friend was getting married or graduating or something.
For $50, you can also get them a modded DSi with some games on an SD Card. That's what I got my sister and I ended up liking it so much that I got another one for myself

One of the best things I bought for myself and I'd be psyched if I got it as a cheap gift or a secondary gift or whatever was a high quality very long usb-c cable. If you've ever been to a hotel you know that the outlets are a mess and having just a super long cable to run behind the bed or across the room is great. I have a 20ft, it's awesome.
I have a weird USB C power supply. It looks like a laptop charger complete with removable plug cable side but the weird thing is the end of the power connector part isn't a barrel jack instead it's a USB C plug. It's so powerful that my Microsoft Surface tablet (which refuses to charge off of normal USB wall chargers and even some PD chargers) will charge off of it. It's also really long because it's just like a normal laptop charger. It does have the annoying thing of having a big brick halfway through unfortunately. I find it more convenient to use a wall USB C charger and a super long cable.

But when comes to portability, comfort, good battery life and performance (still surprised how well steam deck runs on most games) the steam deck is my go to. There's just something about the steamdeck that I love.
underrated thing about that gameboy operator device is you can legit play emulators on pc and transfer that save file onto legit cartridges. so you can easily load up the old pokemon events onto real carts

Anyone know the camera shown at 9:26
Ah yes the guide I needed this year
Great stuff, as always! Happy holidays!
The PS5 disassembly jumpscare got me lmao
The little scream when taking it off sent me. I hate taking that thing off I have to look up which direction to pull up on.
Thank you for the USB cable with display recommendation. I've been looking for a new one (or a few) to replace my current cable with some of the LED spots out... gotta love wonky displays. Love the tom toc bag, I have the same one ;)
That laptop deal is great, good looking out!
Actually steam deck are on sale at Best Buy and some gamestops
6:58 I love 8bitdo! But what I love about this controller in particular is all the D-Pads! Great for Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and Link's Awakening, since those games force the stick instead of allow D-Pad, which just feels wrong for 2D Zelda.
I needed this like 2 weeks ago 😂😂😂
i sincerely watch these each and every year and get probably three things from it.
Oh no, Wulff Den has the infamous cracks on the bottom shell of his Limited Edition Steam Deck OLED model.
Ditched by your own pup. 😭 The betrayal. Didn’t even look back.
2:53 Calling out the entire human race 😂😂😂
Wow, such a great gift guide! Ideas I haven’t heard anywhere else
I think it’s hilarious that I’m watching this for myself instead of letting someone else get me more stuff 😂😂😂
I espeically want that steam deck oled. Wouldn't mind getting gifted that.
Loved this video, Bob, and diggin the holiday long sleeve 🎄🤘🏼🔥
I ended up getting the RG35XXSP for my gf because of you, and I know she'll love it. Thank you Bob!
This was a great video! Much appreciated!
Controllers are always needed especially if they are a console gamer. You can never have too many controllers. Just make sure you are buying the right controller for their system.
My wifey just got me the steam deck oled 1t thanks for the idea 😊
I luv ur xmas vids wulff. Thx.
Anyone know if the Tomtoc bag will fit a switch with the Satisfye grip?
By the way, The Miyoo a30 popularity is increasing because of the price and Spruce OS, an operating system that fixes some issues with the stock one and adds stuff. people say it's similar to onion OS
love hearing bob yelling all kinds of random things 😂
480mpbs it's the standard USB 2.0 speed and is very slow.
Im curious, you said the Miyoo A30 is 30$, but everywhere im looking as it priced at 50$. I'd assume its the sight you linked, but that's not what im seeing
My personal fav is still the steam deck. I have 5 handhelds: gpd win max 2, gpd win 3, retroid pocket 4 pro, switch OLED (switch is still awesome too) and steamdeck.
I like the idea of GPD win max 2 using it as my main laptop and handheld but most of the time its just connected to my monitors and used as a desktop. Sometimes its fun to play games via monitor.
Damn. This is crazy. Family asks me "what do you want for Christmas?"
I say "I have no clue, I have everything". I find this video, and, like damn, I have all of these things 🤣🤣
The A30 is not $30 anymore?! Wow that was fast lol
Torn between getting someone a Wolverine V3 Pro or an Xbox Elite Series 2 since they mainly PC game but they like stuff that lasts longer
Tech reviews suggest the Amazon Basics cards are decent and I haven’t had issues with mine compared to my Sandisk Extreme cards.
Where'd you find the MIYOO A30 for $30?
Sadness when I looked it up😢
actually with steam deck depends on the country here in europe i found it in few shops but the price was so much higher than on steam itself it was better to just get it from steam
Buy me some time outside pls
Or a patch of grass, so I can touch it.
Decent powerbank will buy you some time outside
I really seem to be one of those gamers who has everything from your list that he wants 😅 but there are some very solid recommendations, imo. The 8bitdo UC or an Elite Controller from the design lab in combination with the 8bitdo BT dongle V2 are highly recommended. The latter one in particular is among my most favorite controllers ever, and I've owned quite a few in three decades of gaming.
Is PS5 Pro a good gift for someone who already has a normal PS5?
