This is traditional Tuvan song in non-traditional interpretation, arrangement made by us spontaneously. We had 1 hour of time and we was just celebrating our occasional meeting. In fact this is the combination of ancient tuvan folklore, contemporary fusion jazz, some middle eastern music and kuzhebarian rhythms:)
Raphael De Cock - vocals, throat singing (khoomei, kargyraa, sygyt), uilleann pipes
Dmitry Gorelik - guitar
Nadishana - hybrid kaval, dan moi

@southcoaster
thanks!
Small explanation for the listeners:
it was not rehearsed tune, we met 1st time in the studio doing other studio work. so this was a spontaneous recording when we had a pause from our main job. It's filmed to my laptop webcam, no preparation or arrangement was made in advance except short 20 min rehearsal before recording. Me and Raphael knew the song, and Dima heard it 1st time. So we basically jammed out on the tune.
probably the greatest ancient jam track ever jammed bro!! great work!

This song is Zungar's song. They were powerful empire and controlled the Centrel Asia. One part of Mongolia. This song is singing in different language in different country. Because the countries were under Zungar Empire. Kazakh, Kirgiz, Tajik.... etc

Tuva folk music, Спасибо....
wow this is great a take on the song
I really like this, never really been interested in throatsinging, but now i'll definitely listen to more of this.
calling like home......
Чуваки!! ..браво вам!!!
Fantastic song, thanks for the upload.
absolutely phenomenal, the second time i've said that on one of your tracks!! the vocals and the TS is glorious!!
the guitarist just makes love to the camera the whole time hes jammin, and the vocalist is so talented, that throat singing is truly inspiring. nadishana is golden-fingered because anything he touches sings with reverence. this is my favorite version of kongurei
In my head, around 1:30, a drumkit came into it starting wtih some light cymbal taps and began a build up. By 1:52, the drumkit was full on open hi-hat rocking out with some crunchy fuzzy electric guitar......both of which came to a calm just in time for the pipes solo.
With or without the way I heard it, that was beautiful music and a really nice fusion of cultures. :)
Raphaels whistles in kargyraa are so clear :), and lol at the gypsy jazz-like solo, haha.
The throat singing was amazing, infact there should be more of it. Namaste
I'm quite familiar with traditional Tuvan throatsinging, as I'm from Altai which borders Tuva. But this is a very new, modernised take on it. Interesting and well done I say!
Very nice!

:)
Dzungar song !
Kongurei is very good song, and you played it amazingly well considering the circumstances. You really should make this song with this line-up. The kaval fits perfectly in my opinion as well as the other instruments of course. However i think the guitarist should do the "spine" of the song, and should concentrate less on solo play (especially from 1:42) If you know what i mean! :) Its only my observation, and sorry if you think in an other way! I just wrote down what my ear wanted to hear! :)
Nothing to say...just consantrate. and flying to the shamanic lands.
Tuva Turks throath music
Der Gitarrist ist doch total breit ^^
This is an originally Mongolian song :)
Nasankhuu Aduuch no it is unfortunately not. Its orginal Turkic song
Талаар дүүрэн адууны минь
Ижил нь хаана байна хонгор үр ээ
Таван хошуу нутгийн минь
Эзэн нь хаана байна хонгор үр ээ
Kongurei is mongolian sad song
Врёшь вашего ничего нет культура обычаи религия всё наше вы просто приспособились каждый раз слушая песни музыку .
Гитарист, здесь лишний, или пусть в тему играет. Я , так слушать не могу, когда он вообще что-то иное играет....
I don't need anything else after trancing out to that. I feel so calm right now that it is hard to type even. I don't believe I have even blinked my eyes for over 3 minures. Strange.......
Do you happen to have a recording of this we can buy?
