i like how judging by the meter on the sides, all these inputs are preset to be perfect, and yet the guy on screen is still a bit desynced with the others. truly the minigame from hell

its really weird, i know you're supposed not to rely on visuals but i find it weird that heaven studio just has other members be delayed slightly, another example would be the other fan club monkeys
@@rubocky6126 I think that's how it is in DS even with frame perfect inputs on there as well
If anything, that makes it easier to tell which one is supposed to the player
Registering all those "hos" and "hais" in such a short time frame makes this seem like a *nightmare* to learn. Brilliant
You kinda just get a hang of it with enough practice. This one is really difficult to get a perfect on, but it took me around 2 hours to get a Superb on this..
@@PixelatedRhythm Wow, that's crazy! I'm curious, do you rely more on the sound cues or more on memorisation?
@@kirstenonic05 The cues are easy to think about when they are just the simple "Hai", "Hai Hai" "Hai Ho", "Ho Hai" or "Ho", but when it comes to cues with more inputs, I tend to rely more on memory because doing the more complex cues would be crazy trying to figure out how many times to step in such a short time frame

This is what a Rhythm Hell would look like. This is objectively evil and foul. Nobody should have to do this... And this is incredible, please make more of this. ;p
You know, my biggest issue with the original Lockstep was that it was hard to hear the difference between "ho-HO! hho! hho! hho! hho!" (the announcer is merely scatting to remind you what an offbeat sounds like) and "...hho! hho-- n-ho-n-ho-HAI!" (this is a signal and you need to switch back to the main beat this instant). So it's cool to see somebody overlap the audio cues _even further._ I can't even tell how New Cue #2 _works._ What am I listening to, Morse code?
It already didn't inspire confidence that the 1 2 3 4 in the tutorial were not on the right beats, and the idea that you have 0 time to react until the moment the chain of cues is done (and no way of knowing how long a cue even is until it is too late) makes this more unfair than difficult... which I guess is what kaizo SHOULD mean but a near miss for most of the kaizo I've seen which has just been pro-level hard mode rhythms...
i grew up playing rhythm heaven. i was in musical programs in school. i've spent my years getting deeper and deeper into rhythm games. this is the first thing i've seen in years that truly and utterly confounds me.

Kaizo doesn't always mean hard. It comes from the japanese word meaning "Changed"/"Reconstructed"
So if something has been massively changed, then it's a kaizo.
It's just that the first "Kaizo" is just hard as fuck, being "Kaizo Mario World"
@@NuclearFurret In terms of gaming, Kaizo is typically seen as a difficult remake of an already existing level. I think I'll make an easier Kaizo when it comes to Air Rally, but the Kaizo series is about bringing a challenge with the new mechanics that could be introduced for each minigame. Although it may take me some time to release the next Kaizo, as I'm still learning how Heaven Studio works.

Pretty stupid, how do you distinguish between a hai and a hai hai hai hahooi if after a hai you have to already tap the 2 times, the same for the ho ho ho that goes after the hai hai hai hahooi and your ho cue, you should try a different set of cues like in the video Windstep by The Culinator
This is Kaizo not another version of Lockstep 3
@@PixelatedRhythm Lockstep 3 doesn't exist, it's just the use of an acceptable naming convention for a new version that makes the minigame harder, just as you tried to do. You could have titled the video Lockstep ultra hard extravaganza and I would have told you the same, that your choice for cues was deficient.

@@MortalMercurythe difference is that the hais are in a different timing, hai(rest) is normal, haihai is the regular cue
