Play with stereo headphones, you can hear which side the widget is coming from. That’s how I beat this game blindfolded. The hardest game blind for me was Screwbot Factory 1 and 2 since the audio cue for which type of robot is coming is extremely subtle without memorisation.
Goes to show how amazing Rhythm Heaven's audio cues/mechanics are, given how you can still essentially get a Superb (and even a Perfect if you're a psycho) with relative ease without the visuals, of course with enough practice, patience and sheer willpower.
absolutely! i would say the only exceptions are maybe built to scale and bossa nova, but all you have to do is memorize what starts on the left and the right and it’s not that hard
@@VillagerMax Not quite so. Fun fact: Built to Scale plays the clicks across the stereo fields, so you can connect some stereo speakers or headphones and hear them pan. You should try it! This means, all you need to do is remember where in the field you need to build, and then the other audio cue you can remember easily. As for Bossa Nova, I admit I did have a little more trouble with it initially but if you remember you start off the pattern with the one that is usually on-beat (at least for the rhythm game), it should be fairly easy to switch over when you need to.,
@@VillagerMax built to scale always alternates between left and right, and boss's nova's cues are reactable. The hardest game is definitely working dough 2 however, as the offbeats and timing are awful. As someone who loves playing rhythm heaven blindfolded it took me several hours to even get an ok on wd2 while I've gotten a perfect on remix 10 blindfolded
As someone who could beat most DS minigames and even perfected some of my favourites all with my eyes closed, yeah, so much of Rhythm Heaven is doable with only audio cues. I lost my wiimote before I could finish Fever this way (finished the game with sight some time prior) but at the point I made it to, Screwbot factory was my biggest hurdle and the only one I really needed my eyes to beat. @@HandyDandyHandium i said that in my "remix 10 obsession but i havent played the game yet" phase and when i first played i failed. but theb it became easy
honestly if you perfected these games with visual cues it should be easy to do it without them, since doing perfects normally will usually demand you get consistent, and with these games most of being consistent comes from keeping the beat and reacting to the audio cues appropriately. you should try playing your favorite minigames with your eyes closed, it's usually pretty easy if it's with ones you've played a lot (in some cases like with lockstep i even prefer playing with my eyes closed, looking at that minigame just confuses my brain lmao) basically, it's not as hard as it might seem, if you really enjoy these games i even recommend you give it a try. rhythm heaven is like one of the only games where it's super intuitive and fun to play blindfolded (not saying blindfolded runs aren't fun but they're definitely not intuitive and absolutely unintended, with RH it almost feels intended)
oh, for any keep-the-beat game i removed any character that looks like the player (as well as, you know, the player, bc they have the same textures in most cases) since technically that would remind you of the rhythm if you forgot it?
