We bought a brand new Honda in Yucatan, it was a laborious process compared to the U.S. We paid a combination of cash, cashiers check and credit card, they wouldn't accept an all cash payment. . Our Honda was a few thousand less than a comparable US model. It took a few days before our car was delivered. We also had to have proof of valid residency and a utility bill in our name (which we didn't have but the salesman took care of that). The salesman also went with us to register the car. Its a whole different process than what we ignorantly expected.
We bought a Mazda in 2017 and decided to sell it recently. We went into our documents to the title and didn’t have it. So we when to the dealer to get a new one. They said it would take a week. When we went back they said we never picked it up 7 years ago. They had it in their files for 7 years.
Hope everything goes well with your new car. You will see lots of not good reviews, the main one is spare parts and reliability but don't let it put you down i was told the same for my truck that I bought new back in 2005 is 2024 and I haven't have no problems. Good luck make sure you keep the car insure
Always wondered what happened to the MG brand! I owned three different models of the old MG sports cars in the past and absolutely each of them...Still have the old MG key chain!
If you have friends in Mexico and they didn’t tell you about this brand they are not your friend this it’s bad really bad if you can returned or sale it back do it …. Best of luck
yep in my country i see them on tow trucks all the time. car rental companies buy them to use as rentals and they normally sell them before they normally would other models because they fall apart.
@@MexicoMattandAli yeah, simply because MG and BYD both are cheap China car manufacturers for inferior quality. the Tesla is still too expensive for majority of Mexicans 💰😤 also current Mexico does not have good electric charging network, isn't ready for pure electric 😢
you have nerves of steel! love the car, especially the glass roof!
We are heading for Zihua tomorrow and spending December there, see you around.

Wow, strange that they didn't want all cash. Nice that the salesman helped you through the process, though. Thanks for sharing!

That's so funny. I'm sure that they never told you that you needed to pick it up, but that was awesome they held on to it!

Congratulations. Sounds like quite the process. Are you selling Dusty?
Yep, we'll hold onto it for ya😄
@@TomandJulieMineExploring we're trying. You want to buy it? 🤞💰
Not me lol. I'm sure someone will want it.@MexicoMattandAli
Can we test drive it for six weeks starting in February?😂
@TomandJulieMineExploring yes, just cover insurance, gas, and a small admin fee of 1000 pesos per day.
To what dealer when in America to fix it.

Good to know. Thanks!
What was the price?
All of the Chinese brands are in the same range, starting at 300k MXN for the cars to about 600k for the "higher end" SUV's, on average.
Can't register new ones in the US due to inferior safety standards.
We will drive carefully, but I think the current 28% tariff doesn't help. They are sold in Australia and throughout Europe.
Go vols!
GBO!!!
🍺
Good luck with your MG. They are not very reliable it’s know to have very bad service and problems.

try the BYD
Gracias
I didn't see where we could look at them, but I read recently that they sold more BYD's than Teslas last year.
