Because he loved his sister more then anyone else and he promised her he would do anything to keep Jon safe even if it meant giving up everything he stands for and his life
I can't wait until people get perspective. Season 8 was good. It wasn't as great as seasons 1-4 but it was a fine ending. I sound insane now but in 10 years we'll see our ways.
What is good in the ending ...it look like that makers just want to finish the show .. 1 who is night king 2 what is meaning of signs that they Mark when they kill people. 3 what is connection between night king and Jon snow or night king and three eyed raven 4 why bran become king ... previously he said that he don't become warden or other higher post.
@@villagevillegers8836 those things aren't necessary to the overall story. Answering those questions has no bearing on ending of the song of fire and ice. They'd be interesting to know but some questions don't have answers or they are never revealed. Ultimately for the night king, he isn't even a character yet in the books. More light may be shed on the Others in prequels.
I see that a lot of you seem to disagree with the title of this video, but when I named it this way it wasn't supposed to be taken this close to the heart. _'A Dragon raised by Wolves'_ is merely an allusion to Jon's parentage. He is Rhaegar's son (a Dragon) and he was raised amongst Starks (wolves). That's just that. It's not that Jon is somehow any less a wolf because he is Targaryen, it's just an allusion to his biological parents, he was _born_ a Dragon but raised a wolf, and Jon will always be more Stark than Targaryen, he has Lyanna's blood and he even looks exactly like Ned haha. Don't take it too seriously, it's what I'm saying. Thank you also for the wonderful comments!
Rhaegar - His name is Aegon.....what better name for a King Woman - Will u write a song for him ? Rhaegar - He has a song....He is the Prince that was Promised....and His is the Song of Ice and Fire If this scene comes in the show then I can die peacefully
Watch closely in s06e10, lynna clearly tells his name is Aegon. Jon Snow`s real name is Aegon Targareyn named by his father Rhaegar Targareyn He will fulfil his destiny to become Aegon the conqueror except that he will conquer by loyalty just like he conquered North recently by loyalty. We will soon find out his name in season 7 to be Aegon :)
and this is why I like Jon WAY more than Dany. Practically half of all her victories was handed to her on a silver platter. Jon on the other hand...he had to claw, scratch, fight, bleed, DIE and fight once again. he earned every single victory. Daenarys just got really fucking lucky half the time
yeah and all they've become are deus ex machina's for her. and didn't she have a problem controlling them, especially Drogon for like a season or two? How in the hell did she suddenly get complete and total obedience from them in an instant? that is actually a glaring plot hole I've seen nobody make sense of
Daenarys has taken some of the most clever victories throughout the whole series, and many times against all odds. She has every right to be where she is now!
well theres a good answer to that ,let me give you an example like two brothers fighting each other and the next day you watch your brother getting his ass kick, are you gonna save him? of course if does ,when it comes to enemies it doesn't matter if you said ''i hate you ''to your bro the last day
I barely started watching GOT and I binged watched and I’m all caught up now. The same with you. From the first Episode I knew he’ll be my favorite character and still is .
Both Jon Snow and Danerys Targaryen are awesome characters but there's 1 difference that makes me think that Jon Snow is THE superior character Throughout the whole show he's been forced to get his hands dirty, and fight for his life and fight for his brothers. Danerys hasn't had to. She's hid behind her dragons and her army, she's never once had to kill, she's commanded her dragons or the unsullied do it. Jon Snow has fought and even gave his life for his goal, but Danerys has sacrificed others for her goal That is why Jon Snow is better
i totally agree. remember that one scene in the fighting arena where she was about to be murdered, and drogon came in to save the day? she was totally helpless, jon however has been on the battle field first line multiple times. he has made a lot of sacrifices (he died omg) yet Dany is the one who hides behind her dragons, and keeps having a whole bunch of titles listed when she is introduced or (even worse) when she introduces herself. she is a fun character and i was rooting for her...but those moments made her a less appealing character. with the seasons she seems to get more and more full of herself. while jon did the opposite.
I agree as well, and that’s exactly why I think Daenerys fell for him so fast. People say it’s “rushed” or that it’s “fan service” but they don’t bother to get the writers’ opinion on the matter. I haven’t seen one Dany&Jon hater that bothered to take into account what David Benioff & D.B Weiss think or how they wanted their story portrayed. “I don’t think either one of them knew just how strong & powerful their feelings for each other were until that scene where he wakes up in the boat. Just the notion of falling in love for someone involves weakness, and queens aren’t supposed to be weak but she feels this happening anyway, and Jon feels it for her. I think it’s hard for Dany not to look at Jon and think, ‘okay this guy is NOT like the other boys..’ “ -David & D.B
(I apologize for the extension, It wasn´t mean to be this long). I mean, Jon had been taught to defend himself and kill if necessary by training with his sword since he was 9. The only thing Dany ever learned is that she would have to marry whoever his brother said and that's pretty much it. I think they both did the best with what they had. You can't expect someone who has never been taught to use a weapon to go on and kill someone, especially in a time where women (even Dothraki) weren't expected to do much more than domestic tasks. And yes, she has hidden behind her dragons and army, but why should anyone take a girl who wants to become queen seriously if all she has is an important last name?? Nevertheless, she has proven herself to be an excellent leader, conquering a city by the mere age of 16 (around it, I think she was younger in the books); is not only about having dragons and an army, is about knowing how and when to use them; is about being smart, having strategy skills and knowing how to gather people to work together. By any means am I discrediting Jon Snow. I do think he is the best candidate to the throne because he is the only valid candidate who doesn't want it. He's not trying to GET the throne, but if he had it, he would always think about his people before himself. Just, please, do not discredit Daenerys or her journey. She has suffered a lot to get where she is, maybe she hasn´t gotten her hands dirty in the same way Jon did, but that's mainly because they were both raised differently and under different circumstances. Doesn't make her any less.
Aria I really appreciate your perspective of Daenerys & Jon. I agree completely! If you have the time, I’d like to ask your opinion on my perspective/analysis of Jon & Dany’s relationship. My comment is on another video...Here’s a link, I hope it’s right there near the top of the thread lol, it got pinned or whatever you call it by the video’s creator: th-cam.com/video/_-vs5savteI/w-d-xo.html It’s a lot to read, so I’d only ask you to read it if you have the time :)
You are totally underselling yourself, this is a masterpiece hun. I got so many chills with the targaryens are gone/not all of them transition and just can't get over how brilliant this entire vid is. I adore Jon Snow and you can feel that love for him in this vid. Also all the Jon & Dany parallels at the end were so damn good, incredible job!!
Jon snows ending in season 8 was decent but he was the true king and he should have sat on the iron throne with ghost to his right and drogon to his left and that shows that he truly has the strength of a dragon but also the humbleness and leadership/ teamwork of an alpha wolf 🐺
@@michaelmallett8146how did you not understand... GOT this all about not delivering what the most of world wanted and to give something which was unexpected and reality
THE FIRST THING I FELT WHEN I OPENED THIS WAS PANIC BC I HAVE A STARK VIDEO FINISHED WITH THIS SONG OMG BUT Your editing with this song is so phenomenal, and most can't seem to capture Jon Snow perfectly but you did! I love this so much.
The Character development on this show is second to none. Jon's always gonna be a fan favourite, the most likeable and for some people relatable character
i have no words about how much i love this, i think my favorite part was lyanna mormont saying the north remembers with catelyn and robb's death and you using promise me over and over reminded me so much of the first book with how those words haunted Ned. you did such an amazing job
A really awesome work you have done. The tiltle, the sequence, the music, it's amazing. He indeed is A dragon raised by wolves. He is the 'son' of ice and fire.
This is by far the best video on TH-cam regarding Jon Snow's humble beginnings to his rise to become a worthy King in the North. I actually thought it was an official video released by HBO. Hats off to the creator of this video.
this was literally the most impressing video i have ever seen. you did very very good at editing this... an the backround music fits so damn great do the video. this video is a piece of art
Wow! This is an epic tribute. I've watched the videos you mentioned in your description (as well as many other wonderful tributes) and this one ranks up there with them. Beautiful editing of Jon's story so far. I hope you decide to make more GoT videos.
The end is just amazing, with the comparison of Daenerys scene and Jon's scene. Rhe last Lyanna's "promise me", so so emotional, heartbreaking, I love it.
Don't know how this gets better the more I watch it. It's really brilliant. Game of Thrones does give you a lot to work with and you have used it to the best effect.
Aegon might be a pretender. The murmur's dragon, placed there by Varys. Might be that he doesn't even know that himself. The fact that they left him out of the show (for now) supports that. So Tyrion can still be the third head.
Not really. He might just be Valyrian, where Targ features are more common. And Varys might have lied to Griff as well. He'd have made the switch as a baby, so it's not that unlikely
The Starks are an honorable family. Ned, Robb, Jon are the 3 most honorable men in the Game of Thrones world. Jon is going to take the North and restore honor to the Stark name and I have never been more excited than I am after watching this video.
Most inspiring thing about jon, born heir to the throne, disinherited, yet still became a king, " here, a man gets what he earns, when he earns it". He was born to be a king.
Anne soshi you have done a marvellous job. This video should be used by the show runners if they have a plot where john loses his motivation and he remembers all this to stand up again. Hats off girl
do you recall jons musing in the books where he speaks of all these places in the south hell never be able to see he laments this throughout his time in the watch i imagine a journey to the south would be good for jon theres also danys vision wherein she sees snow on the iron throne !!
nenabunena As much as that would be an amazing turn it would cause so much hate so i doubt it will happen. Though it would be logical since she is born of incest so she could be prone to mental illness.
PHANTOM X i imagine ned and robb's death who are far more honorable protagonists than dany would cause more death than dany's turn to villainy but wishful thinking i guess
I'm speechless right now. This was wonderfully done and beautifully edited. You done a fantastic job at portraying he's story so far just an amazing job!
Wait a Minute!? Wtf Bea, you have dedicated this for me? Oh My God. I'm emotional now, seriously, I cant even. I do love Got, and I love Jon, and you gave me the best video on TH-cam. Thank you so much. I'm so proud of the amazing vidder that you are, and of the amazing young woman that you become. It's the kind of pride of an older sister, when you see your little kid accomplishing great things in life. I'm very happy in being in your dedications. Maybe you should send me your bank account number because I cant give you a video back on the same level of quality. Sorry my typos, its a courtesy of my BR autocorrector. Love you, little princess ( Yes, I miss call you like that).
I've seem the Daenerys version made by @tableey and it is AMAZING!!! And now I've seen the same amazing background piece for Jon and it is also quite amazing. I loved the scenes you used but even more when you used some parallels with Daenerys in the end. It's those parallels that for some reason some people choose to ignore as they believe Jon is the one true hero and Daenerys is the antogonist. But is she? It's two people with the same song from two different parts of the world paralleling a similar journey towards the same ultimate destination/sacrifice. Clearly in my case, I question if GoT is truly about just ONE true hero or ONE true villain. Anyway, BRAVO!!! :)
***** "She just killed all the Khals and made Dothraki her private army?" So let me get this straight. You are talking about the same Khal who wanted her to bore him sons after they captured her? The same Khal who only laughed at and insulted her when she asked for them to escort her back to Mehreen and offered to repay them (and probably would've made a peaceful alliance with them)? The same Khal who wanted to seclude her for the remaining of her life for being Khal Drogo's widow? The same Khal who wanted to rape her many times over? THAT KHAL and the Dothraki's under him in that hut are the ones that you're talking about? Okay, let's rewind. When she lit Khal Drogo's pyre, she provided the Dothraki under him a choice to either stay/support her or leave. Many chose to abandon her right there and then. But those who stayed, she fought for their survival but many of the few Dothraki who supported her died in Quarth when she was betrayed by the seven kings including the Warlock (who stole her dragons and wanted to chain her for the rest of her life). When she was captured by the Dothraki's seasons later, they decided and threatened to rape and sounds of it, killing her eventually. So this is where I don't understand your argument. Would you have preferred it THEIR WAY and have Daenery's to beg for her life like a helpless little girl? They clearly indicated they would rape her; therefore, she had to take matters into her hands and killed them before they can KILL her. They were beyond reasoning. But that's the thing, it seems people cannot accept that Daenery's fights back and her reason(s) behind it... she isn't afraid to fight back either. People also state that she she is entitled. ENTITLED TO WHAT? Think about it. In season 1, the Targeryans meant little to nothing and held any power at all. She and her brother were barely surviving and her own brother sold her off because HE FELT entitled yet did nothing for it. No wonder Daenery's wants to end slavery. She doesn't want any woman or child to experience what it is like to be sold...like how she was sold off to Khal Drogo. She even says it in a similar statement to Jorah (i believe). Her own brother even tells her that he would allow thousands to rape her to get him what he wanted. She was clearly nothing but a pawn to him and she was a helpless little girl at the time. She didn't really know any better...yet. She eventually took matters to her own hands and learned to embrace her own empowerment and became a little ruthless. She had to be compared to a helpless little girl. That helpless little girl wouldn't survive the Game of Thrones and would've died a long time ago! When Khal Drogo died, she was back to square one, yet, she learned to survive. She even attempted to ask Quarth for support by asking for ships so she can sail to Westeros, yet, they didn't see her worth as she had no army. Probably a good thing because Westeros had bigger problems at the time and it is true, she needed an army which didn't fall into her lap by the way. Once again, she gets little to no credit on how she built her army. People question that she likes to kill but does she really? Then why was she so hesitant to open the fighting pit? She answers that very question during her conversations in Mehreen but that obviously went to deaf ears. I wish people would actually see her reasoning behind her killings and her struggle between 'what is' and 'what ought to be', good vs evil, right vs wrong, new vs old, masters/high lords vs common people, dragons vs the people lives, etc. Who knows, maybe she's exactly what the seven kingdom needs, "the right kind of terrible" as Tyrion once stated. Just like Jon, she's making mistakes by her choices and learning from them. And yes, she has good councils by her side and for the most part, they are showing her how to be a good ruler but they, too, have given her bad suggestions (yet, they are ignored) but more importantly, she is open, ask for, and listens to councils. For example, both Jon and Daenery's learned that betrayals comes from all directions... even when you believe you're doing something good or something right. Daenery's learned this in Mehreen when she attempted to find balance between the maesters and the common people. Jon learned the hard way and died because of it. Fact is, there's always going to be consequences regardless of whether or not you believe your choice was the right thing or the good choice because others will disagree. The 'change' in Jon (per Kit) after being reborn is a realization that doing the right thing isn't always a good thing. That maybe being a little terrible isn't entirely a bad thing. Hmm, the right kind of terrible? Sounds familiar... The main difference is that one simply embraces their destiny while the other is more reluctant.
***** "In Martin's words, a villain is a hero of the other side. But that's not the reason Dany needs to be stopped." Out of curiosity, do you know what GRRM meant by his quote? "A villain is a hero of the other side." Jon is the 'good guy' on paper but does that meant hat Daenery's has to be the villain. I mean think about it. GRRM quote explains it. Is she really a villain or is it because many believes there can only be one good and all the others must be bad? Do the unsullied see Daenery's as the villain? Do the Five Sons? How about her close council? I don't even think Jon is aware of Daenery's well being yet, so it will be interesting to see how he will perceive her in the eyes of others. But Jon has proven to look pass others perceptions and make his own. And weren't the Wildlings technically considered villains/barberyans beyond the Wall? Just like with Daenery's and the Dothraki's being viewed as barbarians by others as well? Oh the parallels. I mean, Jon answered it perfectly too. Just because they were born on the other side of the wall, doesn't make them monsters. Well Jon and Daenery's are fighting on opposite ends of the world. As far as everyone else's concern, they are each other's monster behind the other side of the wall. In fact, there are/were monsters that lived among the same walls--Joffrey and Ramsay were prime examples in Jon's case. Theon, once upon a time. You can't forget Littlefinger. As for Daenery's, the Lannisters killed her father and the Baratheon rebellion murdered her family except for her and her brother; therefore, she wanted to reclaim the throne from them. She saw them as a villain, yet, she made a Lannister her hand. Like Jon, she learned that just because they were born on the 'other side of the wall, doesn't make them monsters' as well. Oh the parallels. But rarely Daenery's get any credit for it because 'she likes to kill' but I question, what was the reason behind these killings? The depth of her reasons goes to deaf ear, which is a shame because it's actually quite deep. She made bad suggestions, but gets discredited when she doesn't act on it. She's made mistakes but rulers/leaders aren't perfect. Both Jon and Daenery's paid for the choices of what they felt was right. She was betrayed many times and he was killed for it. As far as Jon, I don't think his approach has been too great either but as a leader, he is bound to make mistakes even those he believes were the right thing to do. He's put himself and others in danger...he almost died the second time if it weren't for Sansa and the Vale. He was too emotional.... just as Daenery's had been. Oh the parallels but yes, Jon on paper is the 'good guy' which can only mean that Daenery's is the 'bad guy' as so many believes. But who ever said there can only be ONE good guy in the story as it's been proven there can be numerous villains as it is. Here, let's play a game. Imagine choosing a side. Since we are talking about Game of Thrones, this is more appropriate. Are you Team Daenery's or Team Jon? The side you choose are the 'good guys' and the side that you don't are the 'bad guys' aka the villain. Hmm... I think GRRM is trying to make a point, yet, some just can't look beyond their team. (sigh) Oh those dang monsters on the other side of the wall. ;) As for me? I guess I'll be neutral. I see the good, the bad, and the ugly in both of them. :) One's weakness is the other's strength. One embraces head on while the other is more reluctant. "The Seven Kingdoms need someone stronger than Tommen but gentler than Stannis. A monarch who could intimidate the High Lords and inspire the people. A ruler loved by millions, with a powerful army, and the right family name." But who said this only imply to ONE particular person/ruler/leader? Anyway, I'm not trying to arguing with you or anything so don't take it the wrong way. Have a good day! :)
***** "She force others to kill their leaders and bind their fates with her. She's even forcing people to serve her without giving them any alternate form of livelihood." What? She just told them to kill their leaders? The same leaders who forced them to kill innocent babies? The leaders...ahem, maesters who forced them to live with no conscience? The masters who only sees them as an accessory than actual human being? She's learning to show them a different life but yes, you're right. The transition from living one way to a new life isn't always going to be an easy transition. There's going to be those who will oppose change. Daenery's had said "people learn to love their chains," but that doesn't mean they should continue living as slaves. Like I've stated, she's learned and continues learning to balance numerous things... including the new VS the old (ways). You say that Mehreen is just a distraction but I believe it was part of her journey which is preparing and evolving her to the kind of ruler that she will be...and that she needs to be. But yes, I guess she could've listened to Jorah by abandoning them and sail to Westeros. If she did, then she is exactly the kind of ruler people expected her to be...like her father. Yet, she did not abandon them. She decided to stay...to do what queens to do. Rule. Interestingly enough, you explain GRRM contrast in good Vs bad and that it is in every individual yet, I wish most people would allow these contrast in all of its characters rather than selectively. But I do admit, HBO has Jon's messiah story to the 'T' and Daenery's as the 'villain' only in comparison to Jon but is she truly the villain? Most of her followers don't believe so... I've learned to see the reasons beyond the obvious behind her ruthless decision though and it's so interesting as she struggles balancing to what kind of queen she wants to be. Yes, she's suggested worst against the masters in Mehreen but she didn't act on it. And correct me if I am wrong but hasn't she given the Dothrakis, the Unsullied, the Five Sons, and the common people/freed slaves all choices to follow her? As she has given them reason and inspiration to fight for her. You question what happens when Daenery's dies? The same if Jon were to die. They have close followers who will hopefully maintain some sense of peace. But what about the Dothraki's? Well, what of the Wildlings? Maybe that's the point, isn't? The wheel...it's not just about the big names like the Starks, Targeryans, Baratheon etc. Daenery's stated she wish to break the wheel. I challenge what happens after she breaks it? It's going to re-invent itself one way or the other... ah, the circle of life. Oh, that vicious cycle. Yes, Daenery's and Jon are two shades of rulers but I don't think one is better or worst than the other. They've both made good and bad decisions equally as rulers and regretted it. But I definitely don't see Daenery's as this ruthless and worthless ruler as many assume her to be (i don't anymore anyway). The same like how I don't see Jon as this 'messiah' that can only do good and only good...and isn't bound to make any mistakes. Once again, the biggest difference between them is that while Jon Snow continues to be reluctant and resist his calling, Daenery's is pushing forward and embraces her calling as a ruler. But that fact doesn't make the other more or less better fit to rule. It's about their journey as rulers...leading up to an ultimate choice...an ultimate sacrifice. But at who's cost? Oh, it'll be bittersweet. No doubt it. "As i said in my earlier post, I won't get into a baseless moralistic debate with you." Okay...suit yourself. :)
***** "Actually, very few people remotely considered Jon as a ruler till he became king." Really? That's quite surprising because on my end, it is the exact opposite. lol And how I wished that more considered Daenery's as a hero but it is rather safe to say that most actually see her as a antagonist than a protagonist especially in comparison to Jon as they believe that he can do/has done the more 'good' than Daenerys. o_O As if there's this belief that there can only be ONE true/good ruler and that one must be Jon. I beg to differ as I do not see one better or worst than the other. You've stated: "Dying is too good for this woman so I want her followers to abandon her." Hmm, okay? :) Except she's not the only one that cheated death either. ;) It goes without saying...Daenery's is ruthless, certaintly, but a dictator? I beg to differ once again. Hizdahr zo Loraq = HzL HzL: "And how many people have died to make that happen?" Dany: "If it comes to that, they would've died for a good reason." HzL: "Those men (in the fighting pit) think they're dying for a good reason." Dany: "Someone else's reason." HzL: "So your reasons are true and theirs are false? They don't know their own minds but you do?" Tyrion: "Well said. You're an eloquent man. Doesn't mean you're wrong. In my experience, eloquent men are right. Every bit as often as imbeciles." GRRM revealed that when writing Daenery's he was influenced by King Henry Vii. Here's a snippet of King Henry Vii: His spirit was distinguished, wise and prudent; his mind was brave and resolute and never, even at moments of the greatest danger, deserted him. He had a most pertinacious memory. Withal he was not devoid of scholarship. In government he was shrewd and prudent, so that no one dared to get the better of him through deceit or guile. He was gracious and kind and was as attentive to his visitors as he was easy of access. His hospitality was splendidly generous; he was fond of having foreigners at his court and he freely conferred favours of them. But those of his subjects who were indebted to him and who did not pay him due honour or who were generous only with promises, he treated with harsh severity. He well knew how to maintain his royal majesty and all which appertains to kingship at every time and in every place. He was most fortunate in war, although he was constitutionally more inclined to peace than to war. He cherished justice above all things; as a result he vigorously punished violence, manslaughter and every other kind of wickedness whatsoever. Consequently he was greatly regretted on that account by all his subjects, who had been able to conduct their lives peaceably, far removed from the assaults and evil doing of scoundrels.
"Till now, Dany was the one who seemed to be the hero coming to save everyone. But the problem is that her actions are presented to us in a highly filtered context. You don't see the families of the people she killed suffer"^^^what i find interesting is grrm tends to get bogged down in the details, forgetting the overall picture for the minuteness of the trees yet he doesn't do this with dany's storyline. in her stories, everything is filtered through her eyes but on everyone else's, it isn't. maybe he is intentionally doing this to surprise all of us when she turns out to be a villain, a mad queen like her father was. her father was also known to be a good and kind king before his madness set in. maybe that's dany's faith, to be mad just like her father. and jon will have to take her down in the end
It's because people think dany is the last targaryen and It has maestor aemon on the voice over. just because they show Dany once doesn't change the theme of the video, it perfectly fit the theme of the video.
I suggest you watch a video called "dear god". Just search for "game of thrones dear god" here on youtube and watch it, it's amazing as well. This video is awesome too, these are probably my top two favs.
Yeah but if that happened, Ned Stark will lost his honor bc cheating... the fact he sacrifice his honor for the life of his sister child it's more honorable
I also felt like that before. He deserved being king in the North after being ill treated by Catelyn all his life. It would have brought some gratification for him to rise from bastard to king in the North (which I know he is). But his being half Stark and Targaryen also does it for me, makes him more of a rare breed (And king of all the seven kingdoms)
All i got to say is: that was awesome!. I loved it. Great work, keep it up. You cant please everyone so continue your work with passion, as you have done.
"The Targaryans are gone"
"Not all of them."
Perfection.
In the next books:
Bran: "It is done, Lord Brynden, the Blackfyres are gone!"
BloodRaven: "Not all of them!"
The things Ned did for his family. He gave up his honor for the life of his nephew.
Making him the greatest TV Uncle of all time.
Because he loved his sister more then anyone else and he promised her he would do anything to keep Jon safe even if it meant giving up everything he stands for and his life
Kind makes Uncle Owen look like a dick now :P
he was more than Uncle .. he was his role father.
He gave up his honor for his girls too.
Jon Snow not only represents the union of two great houses, but the union of two great cultures: the First Men and Old Valyria.
this is the jon snow i'll remember. season 8 didnt do him justice.
I can't wait until people get perspective. Season 8 was good. It wasn't as great as seasons 1-4 but it was a fine ending. I sound insane now but in 10 years we'll see our ways.
Jackson Porter i agree. i didn’t like the ending at first but now that i’ve had months to think and recollect my thoughts i thought it was good
What is good in the ending ...it look like that makers just want to finish the show ..
1 who is night king
2 what is meaning of signs that they Mark when they kill people.
3 what is connection between night king and Jon snow or night king and three eyed raven
4 why bran become king ... previously he said that he don't become warden or other higher post.
Yes.
I actually love the title. I find it very clever and just interpreted that he is both, not that he is less.
Loved the title & video as well. Great work!
dont know what you talking about, mate
the title is amazing
I love the title and it fits Jon perfectly, no idea why somebody would argue with that.
its ab awesome title..no criticism from my side.

If this scene comes in the show then I can die peacefully
Aegon Targareyn Except Rhaegar already had a child named Aegon..
That was Aegon VI but Rhaegar was talking about Jon or Aegon VII in that scene. That's the hidden meaning in the scene.
Aegon Targareyn Why would he named both his children the same name?
Watch closely in s06e10, lynna clearly tells his name is Aegon.
Jon Snow`s real name is Aegon Targareyn named by his father Rhaegar Targareyn
He will fulfil his destiny to become Aegon the conqueror except that he will conquer by loyalty just like he conquered North recently by loyalty.
We will soon find out his name in season 7 to be Aegon :)
Aegon Targareyn "If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention"
I've seen a lot of Jon Snow tributes.
This is by far my favourite one.
Knowing Ed Stark claimed it was his bastard and took all that shame and raised him as his son gives me so much respect for him even more
and this is why I like Jon WAY more than Dany. Practically half of all her victories was handed to her on a silver platter. Jon on the other hand...he had to claw, scratch, fight, bleed, DIE and fight once again. he earned every single victory. Daenarys just got really fucking lucky half the time
Well, she does have three dragons.
yeah and all they've become are deus ex machina's for her. and didn't she have a problem controlling them, especially Drogon for like a season or two? How in the hell did she suddenly get complete and total obedience from them in an instant? that is actually a glaring plot hole I've seen nobody make sense of
She's a Targaryen
Daenarys has taken some of the most clever victories throughout the whole series, and many times against all odds. She has every right to be where she is now!
well theres a good answer to that ,let me give you an example like two brothers fighting each other and the next day you watch your brother getting his ass kick, are you gonna save him? of course if does ,when it comes to enemies it doesn't matter if you said ''i hate you ''to your bro the last day
Loved it.... Jon was always my favourite character from the very first episode, when he was called bastard by tyrion
Srikanth Reddy mine to, right from the beginning

@@sargon12368 I love this tribute. I revisit it often.
@@TalkingThrones you hear now after the horrendous last season

CPQ-Apollo that happened when the books ended.
Like STFU
Both Jon Snow and Danerys Targaryen are awesome characters but there's 1 difference that makes me think that Jon Snow is THE superior character
Throughout the whole show he's been forced to get his hands dirty, and fight for his life and fight for his brothers. Danerys hasn't had to. She's hid behind her dragons and her army, she's never once had to kill, she's commanded her dragons or the unsullied do it. Jon Snow has fought and even gave his life for his goal, but Danerys has sacrificed others for her goal
That is why Jon Snow is better
i totally agree. remember that one scene in the fighting arena where she was about to be murdered, and drogon came in to save the day? she was totally helpless, jon however has been on the battle field first line multiple times. he has made a lot of sacrifices (he died omg) yet Dany is the one who hides behind her dragons, and keeps having a whole bunch of titles listed when she is introduced or (even worse) when she introduces herself. she is a fun character and i was rooting for her...but those moments made her a less appealing character. with the seasons she seems to get more and more full of herself. while jon did the opposite.
My comment is on another video...Here’s a link, I hope it’s right there near the top of the thread lol, it got pinned or whatever you call it by the video’s creator:

Don't be so sure, I think that he did feel it and that's why he was so protective of Jon :)..
Aemon knew somehow, I just know it. He was very "fatherly" towards Jon the whole time and I think somehow he realized they were kin.

This video left me in shock. Incredibly well placed shots and story telling with the show footage.
The Character development on this show is second to none. Jon's always gonna be a fan favourite, the most likeable and for some people relatable character
I find it *really* ironic that the ''bastard'' is the one who stands above them all. :-) By the way, great video!
Jon snow deserves a better enfing
deepak pb I’m sure George is writing it.
i have no words about how much i love this, i think my favorite part was lyanna mormont saying the north remembers with catelyn and robb's death and you using promise me over and over reminded me so much of the first book with how those words haunted Ned. you did such an amazing job
A really awesome work you have done.
The tiltle, the sequence, the music, it's amazing.
He indeed is A dragon raised by wolves.
He is the 'son' of ice and fire.
6 years for now and this video still give me goosebump , what an amazing edit ♥️
My heart still aches for jon😭😭😭 after 2 years ,its still the same pain
This is by far the best video on TH-cam regarding Jon Snow's humble beginnings to his rise to become a worthy King in the North. I actually thought it was an official video released by HBO. Hats off to the creator of this video.
I worship Jon Snow 100x more after this video. Excellent work!

amazing upload! this got me pumped for next season . where the heck have I been just started watching GoT this year smh.
This is literally the best montage I've ever seen on youtube. The editing and music are perfect, well done.
Maybe there is no actually Ice Dragon, maybe it's Jon Snow.
Omg, great theory!,,
could be true o_o, and he is one off the heads of the dragons.
I think the going theory is that he's a Blackfyre. Which would still make him a candidate to ride a dragon.
The Starks are an honorable family. Ned, Robb, Jon are the 3 most honorable men in the Game of Thrones world. Jon is going to take the North and restore honor to the Stark name and I have never been more excited than I am after watching this video.

Daenerys is given everything she has, jon has fought with his life for everything he has i think its clear who deserves and will have the iron throne
Yeah, I agree, but Jon wouldn't be happy in King's Landing. I'd like him to remain the King in the North when all is said and done.
do you recall jons musing in the books where he speaks of all these places in the south hell never be able to see he laments this throughout his time in the watch i imagine a journey to the south would be good for jon
theres also danys vision wherein she sees snow on the iron throne !!
i would love it if dany turns out to be a villain and becomes a mad queen that jon has to take down
nenabunena As much as that would be an amazing turn it would cause so much hate so i doubt it will happen.

Jon Snow the prince that was promised. He has the blood of (stark) ice and (targaryen) fire. The king in the north. Epic video. I love it.
***** "She just killed all the Khals and made Dothraki her private army?"
So let me get this straight.
But that's not the reason Dany needs to be stopped."
Out of curiosity, do you know what GRRM meant by his quote? "A villain is a hero of the other side."
Jon is the 'good guy' on paper but does that meant hat Daenery's has to be the villain.
(sigh) Oh those dang monsters on the other side of the wall. ;)
As for me? I guess I'll be neutral. I see the good, the bad, and the ugly in both of them. :) One's weakness is the other's strength. One embraces head on while the other is more reluctant.
"The Seven Kingdoms need someone stronger than Tommen but gentler than Stannis. A monarch who could intimidate the High Lords and inspire the people. A ruler loved by millions, with a powerful army, and the right family name."
But who said this only imply to ONE particular person/ruler/leader? Anyway, I'm not trying to arguing with you or anything so don't take it the wrong way. Have a good day! :)
***** "She force others to kill their leaders and bind their fates with her. She's even forcing people to serve her without giving them any alternate form of livelihood."
What?
:) Except she's not the only one that cheated death either. ;)
It goes without saying...Daenery's is ruthless, certaintly, but a dictator? I beg to differ once again.
Hizdahr zo Loraq = HzL
HzL: "And how many people have died to make that happen?"
Dany: "If it comes to that, they would've died for a good reason."
HzL: "Those men (in the fighting pit) think they're dying for a good reason."
Dany: "Someone else's reason."
HzL: "So your reasons are true and theirs are false? They don't know their own minds but you do?"
Tyrion: "Well said. You're an eloquent man. Doesn't mean you're wrong. In my experience, eloquent men are right. Every bit as often as imbeciles."
GRRM revealed that when writing Daenery's he was influenced by King Henry Vii.
Here's a snippet of King Henry Vii:
His spirit was distinguished, wise and prudent; his mind was brave and resolute and never, even at moments of the greatest danger, deserted him.
This is one of the best mashups I have ever seen. Brilliant job!
The day Danny and Jon meet i will shed a tear
Did you shed a tear?
I come back to this video again and again - absolutely love it! Please never remove this 🤍
It's just wow. Best video I've seen for Jon snow till date......
goosebumps.....
This video was intense and epic. How can you not love Jon Snow after this ? Great work !
The video is awesome and would have been ideal if you hadn't added Dany at the end - it changed the whole theme of the video.
that was just to show the similarities between the two Targaryens
+samurai90519 That's actually the reason I wrote the comment in the first place, dumb
maybe because she is going to be his wife...as she said, she is searching for a husband, who is more approriate then the owner of the north?
It's because people think dany is the last targaryen and It has maestor aemon on the voice over. just because they show Dany once doesn't change the theme of the video, it perfectly fit the theme of the video.
Seen a lot of GoT Tributes and videos...this by far takes the cake. Best Jon Snow vid out there I suppose
I suggest you watch a video called "dear god". Just search for "game of thrones dear god" here on youtube and watch it, it's amazing as well. This video is awesome too, these are probably my top two favs.
oh i found the background soundtrack... It is "the way" by zack☺☺
THANK YOU :)
This video gave me chills and made me so emotional which I must admit I can't even imagine why exactly! Very good work!

Chamara Jayasinghe Can't wait until Jon Snow rides Daenerys
hahaha lol :D
Chamara Jayasinghe and her.
He don't ride dragons, he IS a dragon! Dany's the one riding dragons.
:^)
I have never favorited a video so fast in my life. Your editing skills are fenomenal!
*A Dragon-Wolf hybrid raised by Wolves.*
This was masterfully edited; Bravo! I love how the title, A Dragon Raised by Wolves, is very poetic.
"A Targaryen all alone in the world... is a terrible thing."
Probably the best Jon Snow video I've seen! Great work! The end is even a legit trailer-y thing for season 7! :P
My name is Jon Snow your grace , Ned Stark's son . The way he says it is epic .
I cried when I saw this, congratulations for the marvellous video
I like Jon snow to be Ned Stark bastard more than he is a true Targaryan
at least learn how to pronounce it
Sami Shomrani me too guy
How could you possibly know how he pronounces it? At least learn what the word means before you use it, Pyro.
It would seem that Daenerys will sit on the throne, but Jon was resurrected for one reason, he is the rightful heir to the iron throne.
Jon doesn't want the iron throne. he doesn't want to fight and he doesn't want to rule
thats because he knows nothing :P
+Wrangle McDangle He didn't want to be King of the North..
+rAHUL..., a.k.a Professor Lol good one.
He's azor ahai.
This was bloody good! How can you not love Jon
That's my boy!
Done better than HBO. Beautifully edited. Downloading it right now.... Thumbs up..
