Two things. I'm so surreal to see Marcus and Paduk in the same room during Baird briefing in regards of the hammer of dawn beacon. Second, I'm so happy Paduk and Baird still remain friends despite the aftermath of Gears of War judgment.
It's pretty out of character for Paduk to just forgive the new COG and fight the Swarm considering what they did to Sophia. The Vasgar part should have been played different in the script, with Paduk being forced to cooperate with Baird due to an extreme situation.
Bro Paduk and Marcus are the two most decorated Veteran Soldiers still fighting on the planet Sera. They both fought the Pendulum War, The Locust War, and now the Swarm War.
1:30 & 5:13 Padduk Told the Truth and instead of taking the Advice from someone who faced Kharn before, Loomis had to be a Prick and Disregarded Padduk’s Advice
Glad they introduced Paduk as a playable character in the games. I remember the books did plenty with the UIR and Pendulum Wars but actually having an ex member of the old human enemy faction in the games was a boon to gamers who hadn't read them.
Paduk is easily my favourite character in Judgement and Gears 5, Dizzy is my overall favourite character in gears but Paduk is my close second choice to play as
In Gears 5 I have one of the cleanest executions as Paduk. The boltok "cold blooded" execution but as I walked up to the grub he quoted "who's the daddy now huh?" But because I was so close to him I said it mid execution. Very badass moment not cannon to the story but made me love Paduk even more
-Slav (or some in-universe equivalent) -On your side personally yet still holds grudges against the people/institution you fight for -Place they're from has a culture based on war -heavy accent -ultra patriotic for wherever they're from -Has to make some big decision on whether or not they help you or help their homeland. The most generic enemy-to-ally trope imaginable, but still pretty cool.
I like paduck as a new character to add to gears of war but I do find him about as annoying if not more so than Loomis. I understand how he feels after what happened to Sofia but giving baird a hard time about it to me seems as unfair as when Loomis had that stupid court martial on kilo squad. Another thing like at 22:34 to 22:38 and 23:34 to 23:38 and when he would later tell about the Mutiny at OZP-11 and praise it in gears 5 saying "A just war is better than an unjust peace", I find that particularly annoying.
Wait, hold on, i may have gotten the wrong idea. What exactly did Paduk mean exactly when Sophia was kidnapped? I thought The Locust kidnapped her, not COG soldiers. Cause just now, i noticed Baird looking at Paduk with rage.

Something i like about gears 5 Paduk is that his armor is a hybrid between COG and UIR with the front being COG and the back being UIR

Gears of War Judgment Campaign was very arcadey and gimmikey feeling but the actual storyline narrative was highly enjoyable! 👊🏻⚙
