The fact that I feel like I’m in a movie, makes this whole map movie worthy in my opinion. All of theses artists work their butts off during this month. When I see the parts get posted I get more and more excited! I hope everyone that was apart in this map knows, you have outstanding talent and goes beyond the expectations of others… please keep surprising me :)
I love how the entrance was just "I'm the villain, not an actual monster." It was great, he wanted us to know the role he played didn't mean he himself was evil. Accurate and awesome.
Ive never seen a map with a properly voice acted warning! This is just a testament to how passionate everyone involved in this is! I love it do much; this years hallowween maps were even more stellar than last years!

Love how usually the warnings are texts that are in the camera for like 2 seconds, but this MAP was genuinely so gory (I watched it) that they had a whole cutscene with one of the dudes telling you, "Yo, you'll get trauma." awesome.
This really makes you think. Sure, when you're younger and told that the Dark Forest is where 'bad cats' go, you go "Yeah, okay." But you really start to realize how much of a terrible place the Dark Forest is when you think about it. Cats, no matter how damaged or hurt, can never die. They are just forever in pain and fighting for peace.
...you DO know one of the biggest concerning things about the dark forest leading up to the last hope was that cats who trained in the dark forest were waking up with real wounds from their training inflicted by dark forest cats right??? and that several dark forest cats GOT KILLED in these training sessions because the "leaders" of the dark forest cats would force them into deathmatches with the apprentices they were training???

5:27 THIS PART RIGHT HERE- it’s so amazing and it makes me see the Dark Forest in a new light. It’s not just a spooky place where bad cats go. Cats constantly kill each other and die there. Ivypool witnesses all of this and I never considered how much it really messed her up. Like she’s watching a cat get murdered and trying not to scream out in pure terror, tears are running down her cheeks…I mean she’s practically still a kid. Poor thing.
I love how all the art styles kinda contribute to how disorienting this must’ve been, I mean, you wake up in a strange place, it’s dark you can’t see and half dead people are chasing you. I Love this.
Waited until night to watch this. Wasn’t disappointed. The art looks great and I like how everybody just agrees Hawkfrost is the Darkforest’s mascot even though his dad was the series’s main villain.
the way Ivypaw holds her paw to her mouth and hides with pure terror in her eyes is fascinating. this map is an amazing experience, great job to all the animators!
2:31 the feel like I'm dying part is just amazing because the feel like I'm dying has like a echo and spottedleaf ( I think its spottedleaf ) has a little white fade outline around her body, so you just have that one feeling of ghost and its just, PERFECTION
Pause at 5:16, if you look at mapleshade tail, you'll see the same marks that a black widow spider had on its bum. Black widow spiders often kill or eat their mates. And what did mapleshade do? She killed appledusk, who she considered her mate.

I never really read Warrior Cats (only ever read 2 of the books, but that was a few years ago), but I love looking at the MAPS! You guys did a good job and 5:28 was my favorite. It shows how others are experiencing a character's death from afar and how hard it is to stay quiet and stay hidden when someone dies and thinking if you could've done something or not to save them. The part also shows you that someone just died instead of showing the body or seeing the attack in action (like lunges or swipes). Nice.
As someone who is usually fine with gore and has seen alot of it, even this sent shivers down my spine! The fluidity, the shading, holy cattraps this was awsome! I'm not even a Warrior Cats fan but masterpieces like these keep bringing me closer to reading the books. 10/10 map, great work everyone who participated

Honestly I love this map, at first I wondered why Hawkfrost wasn't mutilated but I wonder if towards the end of the song the lyrics can be connected like "Every night always it never changes" meaning the Dark Forest cats don't want this stuff to happen, like how Mapleshade and Brokenstar are just sleeping the entire time, they're fighting to survive and have nothing to eat BUT cats, so they do to stave off the pain, and their bodies fall apart the longer they're there, and the more evil they do but have to in order to eat, and if they sustained injuries in life or something caused that evil those injuries come as some form in the Dark Forest, such as Brokenstar's tail and Brokenstar's eyes, or Mapleshade's kit belly. And the lines after "We know you want to deactivate us" and "Every night always it never changes" could be connected to the Dark Forest planning to take over the living cats- but not because they feel like it, but because the Dark Forest is slowly taking away their bodies and mind, and they want somewhere more peaceful to live.

I really like how their are spots on MapleShade’s belly to represent that she used to have kits and she was giving them milk,but in the Darkforest now they are just used as simple details as a body part and it’s just spits instead of nipples to give milk to her kittens. Interesting detail I saw. But two years ago and I am still vibing to this!! Great job to everyone who were involved in this amazing Halloween map!!

this map makes me cry every time i see it. as a junior artist seeing how much work everyone puts into even five seconds of a map is what makes me wanna die when i see the outcome. if you’ve seen the ‘start to finish’ maps… you’ll know what i mean.
It became heartbreaking when SpottedLeaf broke down and started crying near the end- She knew she was trapped and knew no DarkForest cat would help her- Let alone an alive cat in DarkForest grounds.
One of the things that really stands out to me about this Warriors Halloween Map Marathon 2021 is the attention to detail. The way MapleShade is depicted with her mother belly, and the way the Dark Forest is portrayed as a truly terrible place where cats are forever in pain and fighting for peace is incredibly thought-provoking and adds a new layer of depth to the series. The voice acting at the start is top-notch and I appreciate the effort put into making the map accessible to those who may not know much about the Warriors series. It's also cool that the captions make this just ever more amazing, like the gradient at 5:00 which brings a new level of immersion to the experience. I also love the way Ivypool's character is portrayed in this map. The way she seems to have stumbled into the Dark Forest by accident and how Hawkfrost and the others are chasing her adds a new level of tension and intrigue to the story. The designs of the map are absolutely stunning and the song choice is spot-on, adding to the eerie and tension-building atmosphere. One of the things that really impressed me is the portrayal of the darker aspects of the Warriors world. This map is not just sunshine-y and happy, it shows the darker and more complex parts of the series, and I really appreciate the effort put into creating this deeper and more nuanced portrayal. The fact that Ivypool is watching cats get murdered and trying not to scream out in pure terror, tears are running down her cheeks is truly heartbreaking, and it makes you think about the impact of war and violence on even the youngest and most innocent of characters. Overall, this Warriors Halloween Map Marathon 2021 is an excellent and incredibly creative project. The level of participation is impressive and the attention to detail is truly impressive. I would highly recommend this to any Warriors fans or anyone who is interested in the series. Everyone did amazing and I can't even say, in a more detailed way, how good this is! I'm in awe, between this map, and the " This is Halloween" map, this is, hereby, the BEST Halloween ever.

Okay so I’ve been a warriors fan ever since I was a little kid and I’ve seen a LOT of Halloween maps revolving around the dark forest and by far, this is the absolute, most horrifying one I’ve ever seen. (Alongside, it’s alright, of course). Of course, all Halloween maps have their own beauty and unique spooky feel to it, but I must say, this really caught grip of the horrifying factor of Halloween. So amazingly done, can’t believe I’m seeing this three days late 😂

I watched the warning and stayed anyway. I can stomach a lot, but I was actually surprised and just how much gore this one had. Twas damn good, much praise. Also Legfrost at the end was the MOST horrifying thing I've ever seen. 100/10 best Halloween MAP imo to date.

My jaw dropped it's just as I imagined the dark forest how no one is safe from anyone. I love how the dark red orbs represent the dark forest cat and the whwhite is starclan. I think this is the best dark forest map in my opinion. The details in this is incredible. The designs are amazing too.
I have not read a single Warriors book, but oh my I think I’m about to. The things I love about this map is that, the characters, they are so beautifully designed and have very readable expressions! They are exaggerated but in a way that’s not too over the top. Love it!
Honestly one of the best experiences to take part of, it was so stressful but so much fun and I'm beyond happy with how things came out. It was absolutely wonderful to work with fish and the other host to get this monster out in time, and I cannot wait to work more with you all in the future. I adore this map more than anything, and it's so sad to see it over- but alas! Next year will just have to be better >:)) Amazing job everyone
That was litterally the best map I’ve seen in 4 years- my jaw dropped - I had a heart attack watching this it was beautiful and it really does feel like a movie! The end credits are a masterpiece and the beginning part was amazing! It was a unique warning. And the whole map was crispy. Worth the wait.
I feel like the newest and younger artist have the definition if gore wrong. Is just not blood and bruises. IS LITERAL ENTRAILS EVERYWHERE, like this animation. This was incredible, i congratulate everyone who was part of this. That ending caught me off guard😂😂😂

Waited until night to watch this. Wasn’t disappointed. The art looks great and I like how everybody just agrees Hawkfrost is the Darkforest’s mascot even though his dad was the series’s main villain.

2:31 the feel like I'm dying part is just amazing because the feel like I'm dying has like a echo and spottedleaf ( I think its spottedleaf ) has a little white fade outline around her body, so you just have that one feeling of ghost and its just, PERFECTION

Pause at 5:16, if you look at mapleshade tail, you'll see the same marks that a black widow spider had on its bum. Black widow spiders often kill or eat their mates. And what did mapleshade do? She killed appledusk, who she considered her mate.

I never really read Warrior Cats (only ever read 2 of the books, but that was a few years ago), but I love looking at the MAPS! You guys did a good job and 5:28 was my favorite. It shows how others are experiencing a character's death from afar and how hard it is to stay quiet and stay hidden when someone dies and thinking if you could've done something or not to save them. The part also shows you that someone just died instead of showing the body or seeing the attack in action (like lunges or swipes). Nice.

As someone who is usually fine with gore and has seen alot of it, even this sent shivers down my spine! The fluidity, the shading, holy cattraps this was awsome! I'm not even a Warrior Cats fan but masterpieces like these keep bringing me closer to reading the books. 10/10 map, great work everyone who participated

Honestly I love this map, at first I wondered why Hawkfrost wasn't mutilated but I wonder if towards the end of the song the lyrics can be connected like "Every night always it never changes" meaning the Dark Forest cats don't want this stuff to happen, like how Mapleshade and Brokenstar are just sleeping the entire time, they're fighting to survive and have nothing to eat BUT cats, so they do to stave off the pain, and their bodies fall apart the longer they're there, and the more evil they do but have to in order to eat, and if they sustained injuries in life or something caused that evil those injuries come as some form in the Dark Forest, such as Brokenstar's tail and Brokenstar's eyes, or Mapleshade's kit belly.
And the lines after "We know you want to deactivate us" and "Every night always it never changes" could be connected to the Dark Forest planning to take over the living cats- but not because they feel like it, but because the Dark Forest is slowly taking away their bodies and mind, and they want somewhere more peaceful to live.
Yeah, except Mapleshade wasn’t pregnant when she died. It’s an interesting choice to give her a belly tho, love it.

I really like how their are spots on MapleShade’s belly to represent that she used to have kits and she was giving them milk,but in the Darkforest now they are just used as simple details as a body part and it’s just spits instead of nipples to give milk to her kittens. Interesting detail I saw. But two years ago and I am still vibing to this!! Great job to everyone who were involved in this amazing Halloween map!!

this map makes me cry every time i see it. as a junior artist seeing how much work everyone puts into even five seconds of a map is what makes me wanna die when i see the outcome. if you’ve seen the ‘start to finish’ maps… you’ll know what i mean.
It became heartbreaking when SpottedLeaf broke down and started crying near the end- She knew she was trapped and knew no DarkForest cat would help her- Let alone an alive cat in DarkForest grounds.

One of the things that really stands out to me about this Warriors Halloween Map Marathon 2021 is the attention to detail. The way MapleShade is depicted with her mother belly, and the way the Dark Forest is portrayed as a truly terrible place where cats are forever in pain and fighting for peace is incredibly thought-provoking and adds a new layer of depth to the series. The voice acting at the start is top-notch and I appreciate the effort put into making the map accessible to those who may not know much about the Warriors series. It's also cool that the captions make this just ever more amazing, like the gradient at 5:00 which brings a new level of immersion to the experience.
I also love the way Ivypool's character is portrayed in this map. The way she seems to have stumbled into the Dark Forest by accident and how Hawkfrost and the others are chasing her adds a new level of tension and intrigue to the story. The designs of the map are absolutely stunning and the song choice is spot-on, adding to the eerie and tension-building atmosphere.
One of the things that really impressed me is the portrayal of the darker aspects of the Warriors world. This map is not just sunshine-y and happy, it shows the darker and more complex parts of the series, and I really appreciate the effort put into creating this deeper and more nuanced portrayal. The fact that Ivypool is watching cats get murdered and trying not to scream out in pure terror, tears are running down her cheeks is truly heartbreaking, and it makes you think about the impact of war and violence on even the youngest and most innocent of characters.
Overall, this Warriors Halloween Map Marathon 2021 is an excellent and incredibly creative project. The level of participation is impressive and the attention to detail is truly impressive. I would highly recommend this to any Warriors fans or anyone who is interested in the series. Honestly funtime Freddy's voice makes him so much more scary I love it. Plus bon bons voice with mapleshadw is perfection.

Okay so I’ve been a warriors fan ever since I was a little kid and I’ve seen a LOT of Halloween maps revolving around the dark forest and by far, this is the absolute, most horrifying one I’ve ever seen. (Alongside, it’s alright, of course). Of course, all Halloween maps have their own beauty and unique spooky feel to it, but I must say, this really caught grip of the horrifying factor of Halloween. So amazingly done, can’t believe I’m seeing this three days late 😂

I watched the warning and stayed anyway. I can stomach a lot, but I was actually surprised and just how much gore this one had. Twas damn good, much praise. Also Legfrost at the end was the MOST horrifying thing I've ever seen. 100/10 best Halloween MAP imo to date.

My jaw dropped it's just as I imagined the dark forest how no one is safe from anyone. I love how the dark red orbs represent the dark forest cat and the whwhite is starclan. I think this is the best dark forest map in my opinion. The details in this is incredible. The designs are amazing too.

The things I love about this map is that, the characters, they are so beautifully designed and have very readable expressions! They are exaggerated but in a way that’s not too over the top.

Honestly one of the best experiences to take part of, it was so stressful but so much fun and I'm beyond happy with how things came out. It was absolutely wonderful to work with fish and the other host to get this monster out in time, and I cannot wait to work more with you all in the future. I adore this map more than anything, and it's so sad to see it over- but alas! Next year will just have to be better >:)) Amazing job everyone
That was litterally the best map I’ve seen in 4 years- my jaw dropped - I had a heart attack watching this it was beautiful and it really does feel like a movie! The end credits are a masterpiece and the beginning part was amazing! It was a unique warning. And the whole map was crispy. Worth the wait.

I feel like the newest and younger artist have the definition if gore wrong. Is just not blood and bruises. IS LITERAL ENTRAILS EVERYWHERE, like this animation. This was incredible, i congratulate everyone who was part of this. That ending caught me off guard😂😂😂
I have seen this MAP so many times, but I just realized that the whiskers of who I assume is Mapleshade are shaped like a Cobweb, I love it.
