Awesome video. I've had a lot of guys tell me that I'd loose a lot of the low end control running a revolver. Id definitely have to disagree. I have the mamba x with revolver v2 2500kv in a 10lb trx4 with a 12t pinion & it crawls amazing. I love these revolver motors gotta snubnose 2500kv v2 in my 10.3 as well

start a series with this crawler
Swap out the rear blue springs for IFS black ones. That will stiffen the rear and keep it from squatting on steep climbs. You can also put a lighter sway bar with the stiffer springs. That's what I did to mine and it made a big difference.
Sweet rig, I just got the holmes hobbies revolver 380, been wanting the crawlmaster mini esc been using the mamba micro for now but its noisy. Installed it in my ECX Temper Gen 2 with a custom chassis and 4 wheel steering. Been trying to get it as light as possible, with a battery and running 1.9 wheels it weight in right at 2.74 lbs

I done a gatekeeper kit 1st of year . I didn't like the cage . I mounted a creep body on it . Body mounts are in same place as that one just longer mounts in the back from a axial . Little body trimming and turned out great .

Was not impressed with this truck out of the box but im liking it more the more I watch your videos.
Tune the rear suspension that’s where the torque twist is coming from when you’re trying to pull out of the crack
That Revolver paired with the Crawlmaster Mini has the TORQUE VS MODULATION "problem" solved...
...would a HW FUSION (1800kv) do as good?
I'm a sucker for slow and steady progression because it gives time for the rest of rig (i.e. suspension, tires, body mass...) to conform to the obstacles. And more importantly, gives you time to react, anticipate and control the machine.
Man this hobby is almost as complex as playing chess.

The Fusion is really good and it would be quieter, and I'd have to guess that the esc inside has some kind of heatsink too.

110mm. king shocks for the front of my ryft are they to short in your opinion.
so long as they work, compression is limited in the front due to battery location

thats only when really running around, have you heard one on a Mamba esc? Thats loud
At full tilt almost any motor will make noise at the commutation frequency unless we chop off 3 to 5% of the top speed. We could do it in programing if noise at full speed is important to the user.
What is it about your other trucks that keeps them from making it up 'hopper'? Considering how tuned ur rigs are
I honestly don't know they just rebound so bad on the back end that it just airs out the truck, maybe the rear trailing arm suspension? The Ryft goes right up too and it also has the same rear suspension
Yeah its the trailing arms it just absorbs the bumps much nicer than a normal 4 link

Obsolete is a pretty strong word, doubly so in this case that it's bringing the Holmes up to a desired feature set.
It does more than silence , it drives the motor differently with a mix of velocity loop and regular voltage control

If you really want to het technical you might look at soms shock tuning or even check the anti-squat values. (I admit it takes soms calculations annd probably overkill for an RC)
I think I'll simply go a bit thicker on the shock oils with this one but it runs great as is.
@@ExocagedRC my comment was directed at the Ecto not bridging the gap-o-doom. Before you start trowing brass at it, which seems to me a last resort option.
Well, I put brass on it and took off the rollbar, got Crack O Doom twice in a row... No kidding I got it on video too!
