Jude Cole's Start the Car album is by far the best produced album I've ever listened to. I'm 63 and I've listened to a lot of music in my lifetime and played a lot too. It never gets old. NEVER. It stays in my car CD player. I absolutely love your music Jude. Incredible songwriter. Hell of a musician. Your vocals are one of a kind. Wish I could meet you someday and thank you for writing such great stuff. God Bless my friend.

My wife and I saw him play an acoustic set in a small venue in Chicago in 1995. God, I wish we could revisit that night. Truly, a gifted artist with heart and soul.

@@jennapuhl596 I'm so so sorry Jenna. I share in your grief since I lost my daughter 3 years ago. She was 35. She crossed over and hit a car head on. We think she may have overdosed before the crash. She just couldn't beat the addiction. Thank God the family in the other car were ok. ❤

But songs like House Full of Reasons, Low Life, Worlds Apart, even Sheila Don't Renember have to be in the discussion

So glad to see some Jude finally on the tube. This guy's music, once it gets inside you it never lets go. And that's really a good thing. And even though there is not much Happy Ever After in all of his themes, like therapy, somehow you still come away with a gladness to be alive. Jude, your sound feeds our souls. Thank you. It's good to be alive.

If we have lived long enough I think we can all relate to this song at one point in our life. I remember when this song first came out. I fell in love with its song and the great guitar rifts indicative of that period. They have a unique sound for that period. Used by other bands during that period you just dont hear that guitar sound these days.

Love this song, so original and songs certainly don't sound this authentic in late '17. Sad music is so corporate and lame these days. Jude Cole is a forgotten but so talented singer/guitar player. The definition of under-rated.

Something about the way your eyes lately
Look up and down and everywhere but me, yeah
Something about tonight I know is missing
And I know it's more than insecurity, yeah
After all, all the time we've spent together
Don't you think I'd feel something
If I have to read your mind
    Maybe we're just wasting time
    Tell the truth
You know my heart is in your hand
So give it up or make a stand
    Tell the truth
    Come on, tell the truth
There's no sense in going on this way, baby
You know it's time to say what you mean
There's no sense in going out trying to replace
A love that never came clean
After all, all the time we've spent together
Don't you think it's worth something
If I have to read your mind
    Maybe we're just wasting time
    Tell the truth
You know my heart is in your hand
So give it up or take a stand
    Just tell the truth
    Come on, tell the truth
Let's start it over, or call it over somehow
(Start it over, or call it over)
Just bring your love back to me baby
    Baby, somehow
    [ Solo ]
So if you want to be mine
    Baby, let's stop wasting time
    Just tell the truth
'Cause you know my heart is in your hand
So give it up or take a stand
    Just tell the truth
I said, if you want to be mine
    Baby, stop wasting time
    Just tell the truth
'Cause you know my heart is in your hand
So give it up, give it up
    Come on, tell the truth
Let's start it over, or call it over
(Start it over, or call it over)
Just bring your love back to me baby
    Baby, somehow
(Start it over, or call it over)
    Over
(Start it over, or call it over)
Bring it on back to me baby
    Baby, somehow, yeah

Jude Cole was in a band called The Records on Virgin Records. They were from London, England and Jude was the only American in the band. They released about 3 albums. The two main singers were John Wicks and Jude. Both of them are now part of the Los Angeles music scene. I wouldn't be surprised if Jude and John have done or will do a reunion tour with The Records, as they have a cult following with fans of power pop and punk music.
