best catfish bait ever, though you need smaller hooks, is fresh, unwashed, uncooked shrimp. Very light sliding weight or no weight at all, cast it out somewhere there is a little current that dumps into calmer water.. true story

People tey to hard, if you know that srea has cats just rug up a worm and weights and let it sink to the bottom, the cats will find it in 2 minutes
