You did a great job on the video. The truck does indeed look sweet. At first I didn't care for the new design, but I'm warming up to it. I get emails from you guys. You got this for 56K for a TRD Off Road w/Premium package? That's a steal. New subscriber to your channel also.
i cant wait to get myself one. it probably wont be new and probably will be the second year of production. a base model with the 6 foot bed and the 14 inch screen with heated seats is all i want.
I just picked up the 2024 Off-Road Premium with Predator side step, black chrome tail pipe, bed step, sprayed bed, tinted windows, and blackout logo for $52K! I guess they are coming down in price?
@@trdtakeover Good stuff man, folks can never be happy for people all they want to do is complain and make negative comments. Most likely it's not in their budget and their mad at Toyota for the pricing of the new generation.
@@trdtakeover I look every day a few times a day. I'm scared to see what the msrp will be. Aa the current msrp is ridiculous as the labor is cheaper with it built in Mexico
When did you order? I think I waited 1.5 months. Do you have an allocation or are they waiting for an allocation to be available in your desired specs?
@@trdtakeover waiting for allocation. Sigh. Ordered first week of May, so Im looking at 1.5 - 2 months. I hate that they won’t actually build one. Not letting that stop me . I also own a 21 Sport that I will keep. It only has about 4500 miles on it.
The only thing that'll speed it up is being open to different colors/trims/options, but if you think you'll keep the truck for a long time it's worth the wait to get what you want.
Great review. Truck is way overpriced, but it's fair to say all trucks are overpriced right now. At least Toyota brought some decent upgrades this time, like rear disc brakes and proper rear suspension, evidence that money is going into meaningful vehicle improvements.
Thanks! Yes it's definitely expensive, but as you said, it's a huge improvement over the 3rd gen. Just the options alone were around 12k, so if you skip all that it's much more affordable.
18.2 gas tank vs 3rd gen 21.1 gals ,both almost the same MPG’s..Still NO gas hood struts…expect more gas station stops.. Just around the corner the 2025 will be here soon..
I would like to see Toyota sell this truck in the low to mid 40K dollar range. The pro and trail hunter shouldn't cross 50K dollars. Toyota is asking way too much for a small 4 cylinder truck. I'll keep my old and slow off road 4runner. Thank you.
Its a truck what do wxpect 25 miles per gallon, you must EL Cheapo, I don't care about the mileage I care about the what the truck has 4X4, sunroof, etc.
Mr. Rubio you had the option to trade it in or sell it the first year you had it when you realized the gas mileage is something you couldn’t live with. Don’t complain

Thanks! $56k except for sales tax. Thanks for subscribing!
Your idea and my idea of a steal are totally different. $56k plus tax and fees for a mid-size truck is rediculous
@@repsol6198 Haha, yeah I definitely wouldn't call this a "steal" myself, but I don't think it's insanely overpriced.

Good luck.
Coming from a long time Toyota truck owner that is one nice truck and thanks for the video. Keep on Truckin.

I liked your last rig much better!
a fool and his money are soon parted
Does your pick up have heads up display? And what was the window sticker of your truck?
No, it's not available on this trim. Window sticker was $53k and also paid $3k for tint, paint protection, bed liner, and markup.

How much you paid for this? Did I miss that you mentioned it?
I forgot to mention it. $56k OTD excluding sales tax.

Good deal! How are you liking the 6' bed model?
@@trdtakeoverI love it. A little bit to get used to. But would never go back to a 5’ bed
This is absolutely nuts how long toyota is taking to give info on the hybrid version
I agree. I looked the other day and was surprised the info wasn't available.

Actually heard that the Tacoma Trd sport rides better than the off-road?
Yes, I'm pretty sure that's true for on-road driving.
Would like to see a mileage range / MPG assessment.
We'll do it!
Are those fender flairs the type that will eventually leak and allow rust and rot to form behind them? Details?
I'm not aware of that issue, so I don't have an answer.
What’s your thoughts on the outdated 4wd system?
Haven't had a chance to test it out yet.
