I am looking forward to what you have to say about the 24 TRD sport premium. I have a TRD sport 22 that I really like but I have test drove the TRD sport premium twice and I really like the improvements. Thank you for your time. Always do your best and have fun. Never quit when you still have something to give. Remember that you can't make everyone happy and if you do, then you are not doing your job right.
I just purchased a ‘24 Sport (premium). In my book, worth every penny. This is an awesome truck. That said, I also have a ‘21 Sport that is pretty well loaded . I’m keeping the ‘21. My new truck has more perceived power because of the increased torque. I am getting 19.6 mpg around town and 24-25 on the highway. I don’t know why all the haters are griping about the price, there are so many new features, upgrades on the ‘24 . Rear disc, new frame, coil spring rear suspension, advanced tech, the list goes on. Just an awesome truck. Oh, forgot to mention, keep an eye on the passenger side bed rail cap. It has been known to come loose at the cab end. Pretty sure Toyota is aware.
I have a 2024 tacoma sr5 with the dealership x series installed all terrain tires. Super good looking truck. I think the tacoma has a fair price tag too. Most other trucks dont have standard remote start, nor wireless car play, and safety features that this truck has
Just wanted to compliment your clarity and detail oriented approach, not enough vehicle channels use an economy of words. Also congrats on your truck! I think it looks great.
Absolutely worth the price. My wife’s Highlander Platinum package has the 360 degree monitoring system, HUD(only the top, chrome laden Tacoma gets this) and digital rear view mirror, and I absolutely love these features. The multi terrain view with the 14 inch screen is a must have for off-roading. Faux leather seating and moonroof are really nice too. For just a few thousand more over the Upgrade Package it is well worth it in the long run. The resale value will be a thing to consider as well.
I have the premium offroad package on my off Road. I love everything about it. It cost me $53k. It was worth it. I bought my first 4W drive toyota pickup in 1985, It cost me $12 new.. I loved the truck. When I drove it to my new job in Portland, OR I wound up trading it off for a 1989 4-runner. It was the top of the line at cost me $24K. Yes, i paid a lot for my new 24 Tacoma Off-Road with the premium package. The technology raises the prices on all vehicles. After 40 years I am still happy with my Toyota Truck purchase. I bet my little 85 truck is probably still running and delivering someplace. Every once in a while I see the on the road. It makes me smile.
I have a sport premium package just love this truck smooth powerful sound system is great many pluses all around great and now with special apr and taking thousands off at dealerships
Great video! I’ve recently purchased a 2024 wind chill pearl 4x4 with the premium package and I love it! I’ll have to try out the digital rearview mirror! I haven’t really used it, yet!
It sucks things that were standard on tacoma have now become different packages which cost more. The premium package is so close to the tundra now i just went with the tundra since ive had a couple of 3rd gen tacomas already. Im happy with the tundra its night and day comparison. Still a fan of tacoma to
I have an off road with premium package and no it is not really worth it but if SofTex seat are something you really want, you have to get it. Overall it makes the truck much better but in reality it is not worth it. They should add some good all weather mats, side steps and spray in bed liners as well.
Yeah... With the overall price increase of this truck I would've expected more to be included standard, especially something as basic as the rear window. I've been approached multiple times by people asking if I had simple things like wireless charging, etc. because they were surprised theirs didn't come with it. Seems like most people don't notice those smaller things until they've already bought the truck, so I guess that's how they get away with it.
Sure, tell me which truck comes standard with most of these? I’ve been looking at the trim packages for GM and Ford and good luck at least here in Canada
@@sanchezzz1 I have a 2017 6.2LV8 Silverado1500Z71LTZ other then the fancy aerial cameras and the big screen my truck has everything this truck has and the cherry on top a V8 lol Toyota is awful I had a 2018TRD off road Tacoma before the Chevy and I’m telling you I’d never go back to Toyota everything my Silverado is I wish the Toyota was haha other then reliability and off road capabilities the Tacoma is not worth it….. and my Chevy was nowhere near the price of the 4th gen’s lmao
@@_____568 That's a Silverado amigo not a mid size. Compare to a Chevy ZR2 or Ford ranger Lariat with the same options, the price is very similar at least here in Canada. I know there's more options in the US.
@@trdtakeover I have a couple questions regarding some of the features. How good is the resolution on the cameras? How effective are the ventilated seats? Do they push cool air efficiently when you’re sitting in the them? Where do you feel it? Your back, legs, behind, all over? I’ve never had a car with ventilated seats, and I haven’t had a car that has surround view cameras.
Two are located under the hood, one is behind the panel to the left of the drivers feet, and one is under the bed at the rear of the truck. This information is in the owner's manual.
The cheapest you'll get is around $52k in the USA (if you get the manual transmission). If they got it for $47k it would've had to be marked down significantly.
Yes; definitely because if anyone can fork out that amount of money for a new truck, why not have all the options included with your new purchase?🤷♂️😳
For me it wasn’t worth it. I really wanted the upgraded stereo and soft tech seats but otherwise really didn’t see the value there. I ended up katzkin leather installed which I like a little bit better and will upgrade the stereo so for $2k I have everything I wanted while saving $6k.
I got the TRD sport 6 speed manual without the premium features. I would enjoy the bigger screen, but it's not a killer feature IMO. The camera system would be nice! But I don't see myself using it that often if I had it. The current (non premium) rear camera warns me about cars and pedestrians. Meh on the moon roof. Just one more point of failure for leaks. I don't really understand these. Meh on the motorized seats. I prefer manual. Meh on the sliding rear window. I'd rarely use it. Meh on the auto tailgate. How hard is it to open and close it manually? Meh on the audio. Meh on the inverter. Rarely do I ever need one, and I carry one I can hookup to the battery if I REALLY need it. Haven't needed it in years. Meh on the dual climate. I just set it at 71 degrees and forget about it. Meh on the digital rearview mirror. I've driven over 35 years and my classic rearview mirror hasn't ever let me down, nor have I desired something better. Integrated trailer brake would be nice, but if I need one bad enough I can wire one up. Pre-wired aux switches - I don't have a need for those. My phone is too big for wireless charging pad. The location seems unpractical as my hand would hit it as I shift. Rarely do I have to charge while driving, and if I do, I just plug it in. Not hard to do at all. Digital key on my phone would be useful. I did get heated seats with my truck. I find those to be very nice. I wish I had the heated steering wheel. I don't think the premium is worth over $8,000.00. For me, it's just burning money on features that I don't want or need. Some would be nice to have, but not for $8k! In the end, I'm glad Toyota gives us options - or in my case the ability to NOT PAY for the options if I don't want them.
To be fair the Gladiator for instance has made the big screen standard. I think the new Ranger does too but I’m not sure. That said, I’m glad it’s bundled out. Id way rather have the option of a $40k truck or a $50k truck than only a $50k truck. People sometimes say “it should just be standard” without considering that the cost is just going to be passed along via a higher price.
I'll be publishing regularly again starting in September or October. It's been too hot to film without my equipment overheating.
thanks for the update! ... 531 subs so far. lets get this show going!

With Premium package also has insolation under the hood and lights on bottom of front doors.
OK, so when the switches are pre-wired, where are the wires going to and to what?
I haven't looked into that yet so I'm not sure, but that would be a good video to make by itself. I'll add it to my list.
