- It's always good to get back to basics. In this little vid Tracy explains the role of a mortuary tech and an embalmer in Australia. The roles differ from elsewhere in the world with Australian funeral homes giving on the job training to morticians, rather than formal training as required in other countries. We hope you learn something new from this little compilation.

Hey Tracy. Just a quick question. Does the embalming chemicals used help with cremation? X
Hi Anna, The purpose of embalming is typically to temporarily delay decomposition and to provide a more presentable appearance for viewing purposes during funeral services. However, embalming does not have a direct impact on the cremation process itself.
When a body is cremated, it undergoes a process where it is exposed to high temperatures, usually between 1400 to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, in a cremation chamber. The intense heat reduces the body to bone fragments known as cremains.
While embalming can help preserve the body for a short or long period of time before cremation or a funeral service, it does not significantly impact the cremation process itself. Thank you for your question take care 😊💚💚
Hi there. ( i just realised the intro sign has diffrent tune? ) . ..great summary ..altho we all know..theres so much more that you do to!..
Yes it has changed thank you for noticing. Trish modernised it up, she did a lot of work on this, she's a cleaver girl. I know nothing about the tech side of things. Have a great weekend Amanda 🤗💚💚
These people are angles
💚💚
Good day beautiful ladies. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you! You too! Hope you are well George 😊💚💚
Over here in Northern Ireland, I'm not sure we have a 'position' known as a Mortuary Technician. The pre-funeral preparation is carried out by the Licenced Funeral Director's assistants. In the UK Funeral Directors are regulated by BIFD and BIE.... Any I.V. embalming MUST be performed my a Certified and Licenced Embalmer...
Thanks Gaggy for the information 🤗
I am a member of the BIE and the AIE ☺️ take care 💚💚

@@Areyoudyingtoknow is there much training involved...
It's a 2/3 year course ( I know they looking at changing to a fast tracking course with MFE to just over 12 months) it's a certificate 4 so a fair bit of work with lots of assignments 😬. I did mine in just under 2 years.
Look up the info on MFE website (Mortuary Funeral Education) based in Melbourne. 😊💚
@Areyoudyingtoknow thanx Tracy very appreciated. I'll look into it. Never know mite end up working together someday. 🤪
