@@Zsaver3Every battle theme is technically, since they're renditions of the battle theme from the Original game which itself was the 1-1 theme from Super Mario Bros.
Man I really wish Nintendo didn’t rush the development of the original, so that we didn’t have to have just hallways. Expecially after seeing the art gallery for all chapters and seeing the concept art for the chapters. Then we might have been able to hear this awesome battle theme more often.
I can't find a definitive source, but it's pretty obvious that the GCN game is rushed. The partner and item icons have weird coloration here and there (seemingly not finished) and, of course, the game is a hallway simulator (petal meadows, boggly woods, twilight trial, keelhaul key and path to fahr outpost are all hallways for pretty much no reason)
@Paper_Luigi none of that is proof. The devs could have consciously chosen to design the game in a linear fashion to place heavier focus on the story and battle system. Discolored sprites are inconsequential. Most, if not all, games have similar small issues as well.
Funny story: I beat the Pit of 100 Trials before doing chapter 7, so was high enough level for Bump Attack to instantly take out all the enemies in Fahr Outpost. Because of this, I never heard the song in my entire playthrough.
@@BowlOSoup6661Not really that hard, on my first playthrough I managed to make it to floor 80 right after chapter 5, so I was hella overleveled in chapters 6 and 7
Genuinely tried to make the association (through Phendrana Drifts too), but it's simply too much of a stretch. Maybe you just think too much of Metroid Prime.
The fact that you'll only hear this maybe 10 times at most is a crime
Less than 10 times bro, it’s really sad
20 if your like me can not dodge those fucking ice piranha plants
I could not ONCE dodge them so for me it was like 59 times
It's a good spot to grind coins with Money Money Badges. Yes they do stack.
@@AkameGaKillfan777 and Star Points! if you're underleveled they give a good amount of Star Points but there probably is better spots to grind
How am I JUST NOW realizing that the bit at 0:16 is Rainbow Road?!
It's probably the best regular battle theme, and it's literally used in like 2 screens.
It embarrasses me to say this. But only after listening to this did I realize the battle theme regardless of area and remake/original is a 1-1 remix
@@Zsaver3i wouldn’t necessarily say remix, they just have motifs, most mario music uses some part of 1-1
Chapter 6 and Extra Battle are way better

I prefer Chapter 3,6 and The moon ones but this slaps
Man this is criminally underused along with Chapter 6
They really put the two best battle themes in the areas with the least combat

The original wasn't rushed
@@chillandserve actually it was
@IndustrialParrot2816 source?

This song feels genuinely heroic, and since this is right before your journey to the fricken moon it feels just incredible to hear this in battle
I think it kind of sounds like "we've been through so much, but we've come so far. We can do this!"
Funny story: I beat the Pit of 100 Trials before doing chapter 7, so was high enough level for Bump Attack to instantly take out all the enemies in Fahr Outpost. Because of this, I never heard the song in my entire playthrough.
HOW DID YOU BEAT THAT ABSOLUTE HELL BEFORE CHAPTER 7
@@BowlOSoup6661 I uh, I beat it before chapter 5, was dicey at the end tho

It sounds like a Pokémon battle song when the beat changes
I imagine this being used in a 90's anime
This music sounds like from the mid-90s sailor Moon
The soundtrack of sailor moon is a mystery to me, I totally get it though if it sounds like other 90s shows.
You know what? What song from Sailor Moon do you recommend that sounds like that? I'm down to listen to new music.
A bit much like that anime Sailor Moon battle theme @@Gabsevenhundredthousand
Reminds me of older snow themes
this music slaps. too bad its only used for like 2 rooms.
This sounds like something from Bejeweled
SO GOOD OMMGMRKGERNKG
anybody else but me get a mega man vibe from this?
Makes me think of Chill Penguin.
Theres another comment that is reminded of sailor moon though. Me, I get CastleVania DS vibes :)
Why do I think of Metroid Prime?
Because it has a similar pitch to Phendrana Drifts?

Bcuz ur crazy
