‘Walk and Talk’ - Help the stray dogs of Zakynthos get to their homes

Stray dogs in Zakynthos are no longer permitted to travel to their adopted homes in the UK, Germany or Holland because the Zakynthos government will not implement the legally required TRACES system that enables animals to be transported across Europe. For many years volunteers and charities have done the job of rescuing, caring for and rehoming the hundreds of stray dogs on the paradise island (which is legally the responsibility of the Zakynthos government, however they do nothing). Now the Mayor of Zakynthos believes that stray dogs are being sent for the meat trade and has stopped any stray dogs travelling to Europe to their only chance of life and a home.
