  • I am changing things up for this video by doing a review of a USED CAR -- let's face it, not everyone can afford a brand new car. So I thought why not give throw that crowd a bone? Cue the 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum AWD, which I borrowed from my friends at Platinum PreOwned in Mechanicsburg, PA (check out CreditPA.com!) Especially during this pandemic, when every dollar counts, I wanted families looking for a good-as-new, affordable, reliable SUV to have something CURRENT to watch and weigh the options, specs & pros/cons vs. buying something new. This Highlander -- with its brawny 3.5L V6 engine -- is a formidable competitor in the midsize third-row crossover segment, boasting room for 7 or 8 passengers, optional 2nd row captain's chairs, a height adjustable power liftgate and a 360-degree camera that spins to double check your surroundings before moving. Does the technology hold up in 2020? Is the leather and hard materials still in good shape? Are there any odd noises or rubbing body panels? WATCH to find out -- and please LIKE the video if it helped you out, and let me know in the comments below what other used reviews you might wanna see!

I have the 2018 Highlander limited with 76050 miles. Has been a solid and reliable ride. Secure and stable ride in snowy winter weather. The navigation system is awful. Use the garmin gps and google maps instead. Overall great suv

You can't go wrong with a used Toyota. It's faithfulness will far outweigh its weight in gold. You will actually save money with a used Toyota than buying some newer cars on the market today.

Great video! The power supply console is in a less convenient spot by design, so that drivers don't try to plug things in while they're driving. Like many Toyota safety features, this is intended to protect the driver from themself.

Great timing! I’m considering a 2018 Highlander Limited AWD for purchase right now. Found one with 25k mi. for $33k. Your detailed review of the Platinum was of great benefit to me. Thanks for your hard work in producing this awesome video.

A nice luxury touch is the blue ambient lighting below the woodgrain trim and 'HIGHLANDER" projected on the ground with the puddle lights.

Good video! Am in the market for a car and a Highlander limited seems like a good option that would last us for years!

Would like a similar review of 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE & 2016 HONDA Pilot EXL. That would be GREAT. THANKS!!! 🙏

Great video. I have a 2018 buick enclave and was wondering (if you know)how 3rd row seating(of enclave) compares to others cars in its class.

I just checked Enclave dimensions...third row legroom is 33.7", headroom is 37.6" -- I am not sure how that stacks up against others in this class..easy google search though for the model you want. Thanks for watching/commenting!

We just bought this and we’re wondering why the car “stalls” when we brake and sounds like it’s starting back up when we push on the gas??? This is so strange.

That’s the auto start/stop system, there is a button I think on the left to turn it off, it should look like an A and have a circle around it, it’s for emissions and to save gas but it doesn’t save much so I always turn it off, all newer cars have it now

Go to 2:46 in the video, top row middle button by where your left knee would be, press that button to turn it off if you’d like
