David never plays the same solo on C.Numb. He always adds and removes and moves and mixes small solo sections....that's one of his skills that makes him so unique.....a true master of guitar!
❤❤❤I was there too yesterday with my son. Amazing, unbelievable. David still got. We drove 600 km from Belgium to Brighton. In Octobre we are gonna see David Gilmour in October in London at The Royal Albert Hall. Can't wait. Ok, he is 78, so what, what an artist. To the criticasters, don't listen and stay home. Great new album with his daughter. Huuuge fan. Greetings Dirk Belgium
Groetjes Dirk
Great footage. Thanks for sharing, I was there the night before and especially liked that the Roger part was done by single voice rather than layered vocals. And who better to do it than Guy.
❤❤I was in Brighton at The rehearsel last saturday with my son. Amazing concert. We also will be there on the 9.10 in London at The Royal Albert Hall. Can't wait. It will be unforgettable. Greetings Dirk Belgium
Rogers ego here 😂 Seriously looking forward to the Albert shows & particularly the 15th as missed Rattlel that lock 2016 but 2006 on an island Ricks last show in UK for me was best gig ive been at & sren Floyd 3 times David & Roger solo but Davids solo shows are on another level for me! Cheers for the upload 👌✌️👍
last time I saw him was in 2005. Since then he hast performed in San Francisco. I wanted to see him in London but it was sold out already and in Rome was so hard to buy tickets, just impossible. His voice is kinda shot though.
The fluidity has gone for me but understandable. Fair play to him for still playing Live like this but he's starting to sound like someone trying to imitate David Gilmour.
Let's be completely honest here. This is bad. We can listen and look though rose tinted glasses and say it's great but the harsh reality is, it's not. His past accomplishments cannot hide the fact that the silly old duffer has lost it. Both vocally and in his guitar work and it's simply because he's and old man now. Vocally he cannot reach the highs anymore and at times he ends up sounding worse than karaoke night down the Dolphin pub. As for the guitar work, generally he's great as always but during those crucial solos we fans know inside out, he seems to start ok but then kind of loses it and forgets which part of the solo he's at. He ends up seemingly just making it up as he goes along, clinging to the band for some sense of direction. I have tickets for the last night at the RAH, front and centre, row 3 but I'm not sure I even want to go if I'm going to be witnessing him crumble like this. It's sad. He should cancel the tour, retire and leave us with the memories of his days of greatness.
@@Zen_Shot FFS it was a rehearsal gig, Guy Pratt even announced before the gig started that it may not be perfect and that they even might have to stop and restart a song or two during the gig, which fortunately they didn’t have to do. While I found David Gilmour didn’t quite match some of his vocals on some of the tracks, especially during Time, you have to appreciate that when he did that recordings he was only 27 and he is now 78, everyone’s voice changes as they get older, for example in Roger Waters case he actually mimes during his gigs to some parts of the tracks, at least David Gilmour is still singing them without resorting to fooling the audience. In my opinion he sang Comfortably Numb very well, considering it was a practice gig and regarding the guitar solo’s, I don’t know what you are listening to, or talking about, he has always improvised during his solos and they sounded excellent at the venue and everyone I spoke to were very satisfied. Mind you we are not all musical experts, as you seem to think you are. As you are clearly so unsatisfied with David Gilmour and are so offensive and rude about him in your comment, saying he is a “silly old duffer”, “sounding worse than a karaoke” and he should “retire”, I don’t know why you bothering to even go to see him at the Royal Albert Hall, there are plenty of people who would have really appreciated the ticket that is clearly wasted on such a opinionated individual as you.

or maybe he can play it all the same everytime anymore... maybe, may not
@@denooraM he’s struggling with some riffs now, sadly 😔
The man's still got it! Great seeing Romany rocking out and playing air guitar to her dad's solo!

On September 20th, David slightly butchered the last solo and on 21st he showed his Extreme Brilliance, setting the benchmark of a True Musician 🎉❤
always first stages of the tour .... did it in 2016 as well

The back up singers look a bit lost!😂
He will be better on guitar after some shows…. Give him a chance, if you don’t practice much you are rusty. He needs a bit routine again.
Have to say he’s no where near as sharp as he used to be 😔
