You seem like such a nice person, I bought a couple of Paula Young Wigs several years ago and I just didn't like them at all. One felt just terrible on me and the other one was had a big puff at the back and just wasn't natural and didn't look normal or natural but you make every wig look just beautiful. It is amazing how well you wear all these colors. Frankly I like you in these auburns even better than the more subtle colors like buttered toast. I am also happy that you chose longer wigs. Easier to appreciate the colors. I have been experimenting with some auburns of late because I am coloring my bio-hair more in that direction. But I am nervous about wearing these to work. I work with special needs kids and I was wearing the 12/28 color range. I do not want to frighten them. I am also not as brave as you about changing colors!

I love 33/28, that has been my favorite red for several years and I have Gayle in that color too. Wish PY would make more wigs in that color. I have a few in #30, I love that one too. I am going to try 27 next.

My favorite red is Fiery Copper. I have several wigs in that color. After I got used to it, the other auburns seem almost brown. I also have two wigs in Brazen Auburn and Layla in Marmalade. Marmalade is a really pretty shade, but I think it was exclusive for that wig only.
It really is an amazing color, it’s so vibrant! 🔥🧡🔥 I have a discontinued Cece from the Rooted Euro collection in Capri Copper and that is really vibrant too! I’ve never had Brazen Auburn or Marmalade but I imagine they’re beautiful too! Thank you dear! 🧡🧡🧡

When she was little, people used to ask us where she got her red hair from, (both my husband & I had dark brown hair then). Anyway I tried to dye my hair red, but it turned out burgundy which looked horrible on me. I was never good with hair. My good hair days started when I began wearing wigs in my early 50s. Now I have many auburn wigs that I love. My favorite red is Flame Rooted, on my Nola wig. You can see it in my tiny bio pic.♥️ Love your reviews. Thank you! With just those swatches online it’s hard to tell what they “really” look like. I commented once that you seem like the fun neighbor. We had guineas when I was growing up. You ARE the fun neighbor.
You're welcome! ... and I know what you mean about the swatches, especially with multi-tone colors, it will show all of the colors in that color (for instance Vanilla Swirl) but in the actual wig it may be blended differently, whereas it could have more blonde and less brunette or vice versa. It's all in the applicatio so it's hard to tell that from a swatch. Ohhh I love my guinea, she's so funny! She's the leader of the chickens, it's quite comical, actually! And I would love to have a wig sister for a neighbor, that would be lots of FUN! xoxo 💗😃💗
Beth! I just ordered 2 wigs from P.Y. thanks to your reviews! I ordered Valentina in the med auburn & Natalia in Sunlit Sable. The online as well as the catalog pics do not do these wigs justice. The light auburn looks nothing like the swatch on the website. Yours is much blonder with very little red while your med auburn just looks like light brown. I want a strawberry blonde like the fiery copper wig. All of the wigs I am interested in were only available in light or med auburn. How do I choose?

There are a lot of Paula Young I like like Heidi and Gail but the problem is they all come in average and my head size is 23 inches will they stretch to fit my head
I am 22.5” and I buy average. The Velcro adjusters allow for an inch either way. I find that VersaFiber and Jaclyn Smith run large and I have to cinch those in. The couture hand tied will be too small as those run petite. All of their regular cap wigs have stretch and fit me fine. 💛😊👍
I am a cool skintone lvory or porcelain foundations, green eyes. My natural hair, before it turned gray, was medium ash blonde. Doesthat mean I will never be able to wear red?
Hi Kathy! I think it's a personal preference on whether or not you want to wear Auburn wigs. I imagine that the new Redwood would look beautiful with porcelain skin tone and your green eyes. I would wear makeup to accentuate your eyes and a nice warm tone reddish lipstick. BUT, again, it would be whether or not you feel comfortable in it. I would suggest maybe trying a clearance wig in an auburn to see if you like the color first, then you haven't spent a ton of money. Good luck dear! 🧡🧡🧡

I have a fair, pinkish skin tone, and any shade of red brings all that out. And its a bit too much for my liking, so i stick with the golden blondes. Much better for me. ❤
I adjust my makeup to the shade that I'm wearing and I choose clothes to compliment as well. I think that really helps. Many people will tell me that I can wear all colors and that I'm lucky, but really it's just the right makeup and clothing choices. It's really good though that you know what colors work best on you, many wig sisters struggle with that process. 🧡😊🧡

I truly believe, maybe in another life, your natural hair color was auburn!! All auburn shades look so natural on you! If I were you, I'd start wearing the light auburn come mid-September and work the other 2 shades in all the way to Thanksgiving!! Also, I have a can of Aquage Spray Wax that does not work on my hair - it's very light and didn't give me any hold. If you would like to try it for your wigs, you are welcome to it!

I currently use the TressTech wig wax spray which is specifically designed for synthetic wigs. I'm not sure if there's really a differene though, especially if it's a lighter hold. Well it’s definitely a deep Auburn but some may think it has warm brown undertones because it’s darker than light Auburn 🧡👍 so no, I flew to CA myself and met my rep from Paula Young at LAX airport. We stayed at a hotel in Beverly Hills. Met Jacqueline, Jose, and Jacqueline’s hubs and assistive dinner the first evening. Then we filmed at her house the next day and I flew home the day after that! I love 33/28, that has been my favorite red for several years and I have Gayle in that color too. Wish PY would make more wigs in that color. I have a few in #30, I love that one too. I am going to try 27 next.

My favorite red is Fiery Copper. I have several wigs in that color. After I got used to it, the other auburns seem almost brown. I also have two wigs in Brazen Auburn and Layla in Marmalade. Marmalade is a really pretty shade, but I think it was exclusive for that wig only.
It really is an amazing color, it’s so vibrant! 🔥🧡🔥 I have a discontinued Cece from the Rooted Euro collection in Capri Copper and that is really vibrant too! I’ve never had Brazen Auburn or Marmalade but I imagine they’re beautiful too! Thank you dear! 🧡🧡🧡

When she was little, people used to ask us where she got her red hair from, (both my husband & I had dark brown hair then). Anyway I tried to dye my hair red, but it turned out burgundy which looked horrible on me. I was never good with hair. My good hair days started when I began wearing wigs in my early 50s. Thank you! With just those swatches online it’s hard to tell what they “really” look like. I commented once that you seem like the fun neighbor. We had guineas when I was growing up. You ARE the fun neighbor.
You're welcome! ... and I know what you mean about the swatches, especially with multi-tone colors, it will show all of the colors in that color (for instance Vanilla Swirl) but in the actual wig it may be blended differently, whereas it could have more blonde and less brunette or vice versa. It's all in the applicatio so it's hard to tell that from a swatch. Ohhh I love my guinea, she's so funny! She's the leader of the chickens, it's quite comical, actually! And I would love to have a wig sister for a neighbor, that would be lots of FUN! xoxo 💗😃💗

The light auburn looks nothing like the swatch on the website. Yours is much blonder with very little red while your med auburn just looks like light brown. I want a strawberry blonde like the fiery copper wig. All of the wigs I am interested in were only available in light or med auburn. How do I choose?

There are a lot of Paula Young I like like Heidi and Gail but the problem is they all come in average and my head size is 23 inches will they stretch to fit my head
I am 22.5” and I buy average. The Velcro adjusters allow for an inch either way. I find that VersaFiber and Jaclyn Smith run large and I have to cinch those in. The couture hand tied will be too small as those run petite. All of their regular cap wigs have stretch and fit me fine. 💛😊👍
I am a cool skintone lvory or porcelain foundations, green eyes. My natural hair, before it turned gray, was medium ash blonde. Doesthat mean I will never be able to wear red?
Hi Kathy! I think it's a personal preference on whether or not you want to wear Auburn wigs. I imagine that the new Redwood would look beautiful with porcelain skin tone and your green eyes. I would wear makeup to accentuate your eyes and a nice warm tone reddish lipstick. BUT, again, it would be whether or not you feel comfortable in it. I would suggest maybe trying a clearance wig in an auburn to see if you like the color first, then you haven't spent a ton of money. Good luck dear! 🧡🧡🧡

I have a fair, pinkish skin tone, and any shade of red brings all that out. And its a bit too much for my liking, so i stick with the golden blondes. Much better for me. ❤
I adjust my makeup to the shade that I'm wearing and I choose clothes to compliment as well. I think that really helps. Many people will tell me that I can wear all colors and that I'm lucky, but really it's just the right makeup and clothing choices. It's really good though that you know what colors work best on you, many wig sisters struggle with that process. 🧡😊🧡

I truly believe, maybe in another life, your natural hair color was auburn!! All auburn shades look so natural on you! If I were you, I'd start wearing the light auburn come mid-September and work the other 2 shades in all the way to Thanksgiving!! Also, I have a can of Aquage Spray Wax that does not work on my hair - it's very light and didn't give me any hold. If you would like to try it for your wigs, you are welcome to it!

I appreciate your vote of confidence in wearing these, Every now and then I still feel a little hesitant but then I think if anyone should wear different wigs, it's me, since I'm out here promoting wig wearing with confidence! lol 🧡🧡🧡 ... and thank you, I can give the wax spray a try. I currently use the TressTech wig wax spray which is specifically designed for synthetic wigs. I'm not sure if there's really a differene though, especially if it's a lighter hold. Well it’s definitely a deep Auburn but some may think it has warm brown undertones because it’s darker than light Auburn 🧡👍 so no, I flew to CA myself and met my rep from Paula Young at LAX airport. We stayed at a hotel in Beverly Hills. Met Jacqueline, Jose, and Jacqueline’s hubs and assistive dinner the first evening. Then we filmed at her house the next day and I flew home the day after that!
