Awww! I love the story about the woman with the tiny card table! That's how it should be. I find myself apologizing for my home too much. Finally, a friend of mine told me, " we don't come to see your house. We come to see YOU". That stuck with me because it's true.

There's a book called "Lies Jane Austen Told Me" that sounds like something you would like. I loved it. I'm sure if I knew Jane Austen books better then it probably has a lot of comparisons that would make the book even better. It takes place in modern times. ☺
I ❤ how you said you like your house to be lived in. That is exactly same with me. 😀. I love having the evidence, if you will, of kids playing, dishes mean we have food, etc.
How is it October?! I can relate! We have been through speech therapy hoops with pediatrician, city , and now public school. And we will have to start again as we change age groups and services end. I feel ya mamma, hang in there.

Amazing video as always! I’m in a similar boat with the disabilities. My son was diagnosed in February this year and getting the necessary services and dealing with insurance has been awful. I live on East Side of the Big Island of Hawaii and we’re considered a little more rural. We’ve paid quite a bit out of pocked to make sure what he needs. I’m just happy I’m in a financial position to do so as I know it’s difficult for so many. Sending much love and positive thoughts your way for you and your ohana. 🌺

Monthly resets are my favorite!! My kids are grown , married with kids and we still say “ Did you watch Legend of Sleepy Hollow , Charlie Brown yet this year?” So they won’t get over it.
Lastly that Pilgrim crack made me laugh for 5 minutes I had to pause your video so I wouldn’t miss anything. Love you Lydia
Even though my kids are all older (two are technically adults although my heart does not like to admit it lol!) every once and a while they surprise you with wanting some of those traditions again. Just last night our 17 year old daughter asked if we would watch a movie with her, with the request that it was in our room all squished at the head of the bed with popcorn. When things were extra crazy and we were exhausted with three littles that was our special thing to do. It gave us the break we needed but was super exciting for them.
This year our daughter who is away for school is pretty adamant about some of the traditions we should do when she is home at Christmas, some have been put away for several years already, but it is those memories that help ground them when they are dealing with all the adult things in their lives.
Lydia, I appreciate your monthly resets and variety of topics. I especially appreciate how you keep things real by reporting back on not just your successes but things that maybe fall off the tracks a little bit and how you face them head on and just "reset". Have a wonderful day.
Such a great video. I love how you are down to earth and we are living similar lives🙌🏾🥰. I homeschool my 3 older kids (13,12,9), my four year old has a rare neurodevelopmental disorder and the fight for getting what she needs between insurance and paperwork it’s sooooo much. Sometimes I feel like giving up but it’s not an option. We fight for our babies. I also have my own business, I create and build revenue streams for people- personal brands or business owners. Your take on everything is so refreshing to hear and see.

There are needles that are open at the top and you just pop the thread down into it… cause otherwise I would have lots of clothes without buttons!! Lol, you crack me up! I spent the last couple days refinishing bathroom cabinets cause me son went back to college and his bath cabinets look like he’s been sacrificing goats in there… lol. He just told me , mid paint, that’s he’s coming home for break next week… smh. I’m gonna cover them..😂

Lydia ! I know you’ve mentioned speech therapy for one of your kids - you might want to look into united healthcare childrens foundations. My youngest goes to speech therapy & they reimburse us for those costs!!! Another mom told me about it ( my kiddo has been in SPeech Thery & OT ) for 5 years and never had heard of this ! They even approved him even though we have a hsa ! Worth a shot !!
It’s an application you have to complete & they approve or deny you ! ❤️

Oh and have you read THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME? Try to check that one out it is sooooo good. I swear they made it an Apple TV series. I don’t have nor will I pay but what a great book. Now when have I ever told you about a book,In all these years I have watched your videos. I wish I was young like you and the ladies I follow. I’ll be 62 on October 8th and all I do is walk /cook/ grocery shop/ clean/ watch you tube/ hang out with my partner and we go for great drives. I use to be so busy now I’m in the season of life where I really don’t know how to deal with no responsibility. A lot of my friends god bless them have passed, it’s just weird. I use to be on the go here, there ,and everywhere. I love the peace and the quiet but….. even the grocery store job I had to leave. All and I mean all of the employees gossiped and I just couldn’t no matter how I minded my own business.I felt like I was in freaking kindergarten 😂 anyway enough rant ❤love you Lydia Senn
