What did Maharshi mean by "What is Suffering? Who Suffers?"
    It's Deep
What is Suffering? Isn't it an Illusion? Think deeply.... What is Suffering ? Just a by-product of taking Thoughts too seriously. Only Mind creates Suffering. Since we get identified with the mind, Suffering arises..... because thoughts are not within your control.
    Mind is suffering.
Watch deeply, and Mind disappears, and so does the suffering.
    And Who suffers?
Nobody. Can the Self really suffer?
    Can the Witness suffer?
Suffering is only the result of getting identified with the Mind!!

    Pain is Inevitable
    Suffering is optional
Since we identify ourselves as this body that's why we suffer!
Suffering is just bunch of thoughts arising in mind.
If we think that we are not this body but the part of eternal truth then Suffering fades away.
Bcoz the self CAN'T SUFFER, nobody in this world has power to make OUR SELF suffer.

@@piyushmor4145Long back I was suffering from various kind of physical & mental diseases(for 3 years). I tried all the therapies available in big city, but couldn't be cured. I had abandoned all medicines & was in naturopathy hospital but in vain. Then someone advised me to believe that I am fit & fine. I kept repeating it & found that, all my diseases were diminishing & slowly vanished. After 2 years I randomly attended a camp where the trainer said that, people below 45 yrs. of age can quit medicines for any kind of diseases if they follow this method. It was Vichaar aayaa mahatva nahi diya, vichaar gaya. I was stunned. That was the only principle unknowingly I was following. But he demanded that for this males should not waste semen too much. I also found this very important & necessary. It has been 24 years I rose up from the hospital bed. I suffered from all kind of major diseases due to my foolishness, but gained sense, laughed at them & cured them without talking any medicine or precautions. Also unwanted thoughts & feelings also vanish with this method. I will explain the principle as understood on my own. You are separate, different from body & mind. Suffering, pain is in body & mind, not in you. If we stop giving importance to it, do not react to it. We remain unchanging, unaffected witness to it. We stop worrying, or getting afraid of them, slowly it will vanish. Your very statement that Self can never suffer holds good, so I stopped caring for them. Because these shortcomings like giving them importance etc. only empower them. Do not give attention to them. Root cause of their occurrence I found was imbalance in our emotions or lapses in our behaviour(fear, worry, anger, frustration, tension, anxiety, sadness, etc.) We need to remain in equanimity, samta me rahiye. I am over 48 years & still conducting the same. First time ever someone asked or I wrote this.

"They differ according to the temperaments of the individuals and according to the spiritual ripeness of their minds. There cannot be any instruction en masse.".
Both Sri Vivekananda and Sri Yogananda were intellects who in their search were led to their gurus. They were on their own paths, hence their questions. There should not be any comparison between them and Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. As Sri Anandamayima said of Bhagavan, Here is the sun, we are all the stars in the daytime.

Bhagwan Sri Ramana was really Bhagwan. His words come from his own experience.

Ishwara ( not God, which is an Abrahamic religious term and is not synonymous with Bhgvan, Ishwara, etc) does not ordain anything. Neither suffering nor pleasure. Law of karma which is part and parcel of Rta of the universe and its phalans cannot be changed. In the Vyavaharika realm, one has to be part of these laws. In the Paramarthika realm, the only reality, none is born or dies, there is no pleasure or suffering. Even Sri Ramana Rishi PHYSICALLY suffered from cancer at the end of his lifetime. Sri Ramakrishna suffered from throat cancer. All were enlightened beings.

Yes, true, How can God Ordain Something?? He's not a person, having will, likes/dislikes, etc.

@@TheSpiritualVoice For some people, God is a Personality. Also, a lot of sacred texts talk about the Grace of God, which is comming from God

    • @TheSpiritualVoice
      @TheSpiritualVoice  ปีที่แล้ว +7

@@zotharr It's alright that many people believe in God with form, or as a personality.
Some scriptures also say something like that
But Sri Bhagwan was holier than any scripture, and of course, whatever he said, came from his own experience.
In truth, God can't be limited to any name or form.
      God is Self (not ego)
It's absolutely good if a seeker believes God with Form. This is path of Bhakti

When you suffer, you become humble, your ego diminishes

      Suffering is so meaningful

About the Swami, i always think why he couldn't get rid of his smoking habbit and the same about Sri Nisarga Dutta Maharaj. I don't think he was attached to the country in the sense a normal citizen does, but he may have wanted to do give back to the country and people who gave him the knowledge and opportunity to realise himself, as India and its people were suffering very much those times.
